Thanks for sharing, that looks like such a beautiful Fair. Looking forward to more pictures. -
When you go to a special event, like a Haunt, you should expect the unexpected. If they're playing a freak clown, don't expect their comments or actions to be fun or acceptable . They should be, Rude, Crude and socially unacceptable, it's their job. If you can't handle crude humor you shouldn't go, just like if you don't like being scared, stay away. You have to take what your given, it's their job to make you take notice.

The State may as well sell off what rides are worth saving and use the land for parking. There is a height restriction and not much room for expansion, for the park to be a regional destination. I loved Ky Kingdom and worked there for 5 seasons but it wasn't the right location for a growing Theme Park to thrive. Holiday World should buy The Giant Wheel, Bluebeards Bounty, Breakdance, Roller Skater, Himalaya, Enterprise and Deluge for 2013 for a major expansion. All the rest of the rides could go to other buyers or the scrap heap.

How do you know what most people voted for? Did they post the results of the survey somewhere? Just wondering. I filled out the survey and suggested something along the lines of iSpeed. They released the results, most people wanted a Terrain Suspended. That's why I think they'll take that survey and run with it. They're about family fun adding Mammoth will help greatly, Splashin' Safari is more crowded then the park anymore. I've grown up around this park and watched it grow. I buy a season pass every year and visit several times a year, spending loads of money and don't regret it. Splashin' Safari is more crowded than last year and this one, was just as crazy last week. This is a much needed attraction for Splashon' Safari. -

They had the survey a few month's back about what type of steel coaster we would like to see at Holiday World. Most people voted for a Inverted Terrain Coaster. I say 2013 we'll see a fantastic steel invert up the hill through the Voyage. Splashi'n Safari needs this, when I was there the end of July, wait times was much longer in Splashi'n Safari then the park. Most rides was 15-30 minutes and the slides in Splashi'n Safari was 45 minutes minimum. I can't wait, I for one Love Splashi'n Safari and The Wildebeest was a blast, so I am sure Mammoth will be the BOMB! -

^ I have also thought about a Friendly Haunted House added off the tunnel at the start. I say next years addition will be a Giant Wheel, they say it's "Really Big" and Paula said working on the PR production, it made her "Woozy" and something else in Splashin' Safari to help with the crowd issues. I was just there this past Tuesday and the park and water park were packed, almost like a Saturday. Still had a blast though, but didn't get to ride Pilgram's Plunge because it kept going down through the day. -

I have great and wonderful memories of working at Opryland in it's last few years, such a unique park. It may not have been the biggest park or had the biggest rides but it was a beautiful and relaxing park, with a few thrills and had a atmosphere like no other. In 95 there was talk of buying farmland across the Cumberland river and expanding, they even told my boss to work up plans of rebuilding the Petting Zoo in the middle of Grizzly River and using the former Petting Zoo area as a bridge over the river to the new area. I wish those plans would have came forth, but the higher ups in Gaylord decided no and just to close the park and build a MALL. I don't care what all the " Thrillseekers" say Opryland was a great park," park" being the keyword. It was beautifully landscaped and in such a natural setting that's what stood it out from the rest. Most parks now-a-days are consumed with thrills and emptying your wallets, they have forgot about giving the consumers a relaxing, yet enjoyable day out at the park. Not only Thrillseekers want to visit, but families who just want a relaxing day out with the family. That's why places like Dollywood and Holiday World draw so many family's, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Six Flags and Cedar Fair parks have forgot about families and just want to get you there for your money. Yeah Opryland didn't always build new attractions every year but they always provided a nice, clean and relaxing day out for the family, with employees that made you feel welcome. Not like the parks of today who just want your money and don't really care how the employee's treat you, they have employee training, when your hired " I worked for Six Flags for 5 years" but nothing after that. Opryland we had " customer service meetings every month" to ensure we was giving the best service to our guests.
