Holiday World (HW) Discussion Thread

Still wondering where the Station for this ride will be. All of the construction is on the other side of Hyena Falls, to me that area is part of Splashin' Safari now, unless they're moving Hyena Falls. -

I think it should be called " Turkey Trotter", just kidding. I'm sure the name will live up to the ride. -

Has any visitors noticed if they still have there Corn Fields for their Mazes this year? That was my favorite part of Happy Halloween Weekends, would hate not having them this year. -

^ It has, what looks like a small pool inside, not sure what it could be used for. -

I don't see Holiday World putting in a Flyer as there first BIG Steel Coaster. It's not there type of Coaster, they will want something everyone will want to ride. A Flyer is too intimidating for most people, they will want something more inviting to the families. I could be wrong, but I hope it isn't a Flyer. I would much rather have a Terrain coaster speeding through the Forest, with a couple of inversions. -

One Big Thing, means one big thing. Knowing Holiday World, it will be themed out the wazoo. They are not going to just plop a Big Coaster, out in the middle of a field without extensive themeing I'm sure. -

With all the construction going on behind Hyena Falls, the coaster will have to have a station over by PP or that will put Hyena Falls in the middle of Thanksgiving. I still think it will be a Mack launched, in less that building is for something else. I don't see a B&M having a show building. I really hope it is something besides a B&M, need something different in the Midwest, tired of all the B&Ms. -

But they were then owned by Six Flags. Eh Hart put Chang in, he added all the good rides when he had it. Six Flags only added Raging Rapids, RRX and Greezed Lighting. Back to HW, they will add whatever they want, "Build it and they will come". -

All we know for sure is it will be their biggest investment since Thanksgiving ( 13.5 Million) was added. They could have 50 million, none of us know for sure, so nothing is out of question. I for one don't care if it is a B&M, Intamin or Mack, I know it will be a great addition. Before everyone jumps me about 50 Million it's just me saying, not 1 of us ( except Raven Maven) know HOW much they have. -
Oh Please No, Quake was the most boring ride ever. In all the time it was there I rode it several times and maybe 2x I had a whole ride without a breakdown. I know it was a prototype and unique at the time, but it was still boring. I think we will see something new in Dragsters spot next year to fill a void between Thunder Run and Raging Rapids. In their contract they have to add at least 1 new ride a year, not including the reopening of T3, Raging Rapids and Twisted Twins.

I Love visiting Zoo's and Aquarium's. Whenever I take a Theme Park trip I always try and visit Zoo's on my way there our back. My last 3 trips to Cedar Point I stopped in Cleveland, Columbus and Toledo to visit their Zoo's. Columbus has a very nice Zoo and a Amusement Park. -
Love John Waters Movies, Polyester is another good one. Another Great Movie, not John Waters, is Lust In The Dust. It Stars Divine and Tab hunter, who both star in several John Water Movies.

When Opryland closed Premier bought all the rides. Most went in storage in Indiana, but they took the Tin Lizzy cars to Kentucky Kingdom, so they have been there since 1998.

Whatever it turns out to be will be themed to something to do with water. It's being built next to Splashin Safari and will most likely be part of it. -
Their Tin Lizzy cars are still going at Kentucky Kingdom

Navigator, been on that Cruise, very nice. -
It would be nice to see them do something in that area.Opryland was a great Park and good for the Area. I was sad to hear the news that we were closing when I worked at the Park. That Christmas was a sad time of the year, I remember after the news the park was closing we had to find home for all the Animals in the Zoo. Hated saying goodbye to my Goats, Deer, " Nipper" one of our Gibbons and all the other Animals. I had grown to Love them, working with them day after day for years, it was a Very Sad Goodbye.
