  1. MAGNUM XL 200! Phantom's Revenge is my favorite steel coaster, but that's really only 1/2 Arrow. I also absolutely love Loch Ness Monster.
  2. ^Wow, after months, I finally realized that XII is Incrediblecoasters! 1st: Kiddie Coaster - Rye Playland 50th: Phoenix - Knoebels 100th: Laff Trakk - Hershey Park That's all I have so far.
  3. ^I visited the park in July last year, and it was amazing! It had really great airtime.
  4. The two days I went here last season were weekdays in August, but I would assume that it's more crowded on Saturdays like most parks are. And yes, Exterminator usually has the longest lines because it's a popular, but lower-capacity ride due to the singe-car trains.
  5. ^^There are some leg restraints that are terrible like Superman: Ride of Steel at Six Flags America (still a good ride, though), but I didn't have much of a problem with the ones on Sky Rocket. They certainly aren't the ultra-comfy leg restraints that Impulse at Knoebels has, but it's tolerable for me. In my opinion, the INSANE ejector air right after the brake run in the back row is worth any pain. Such an underrated ride for me. Exterminator is really good, but it's just a little forgettable since the park has a lot of rides I absolutely love. So you didn't miss out on that much, but it's one of the top family coasters I've been on. The theme was a lot more detailed than I was expecting!
  6. ^That would actually be AWESOME if they made a smoother one with more than a wild mouse layout.
  7. Six Flags: EL TORO!!! Cedar Fair: Maverick Disney: Expedition Everest Universal: Dragon Challenge (Just guessing) Herschend: Lightning Rod (Just guessing) Palace: Boulder Dash (Shout-out to Phantom, too) Merlin: Nemesis (Just guessing Independent: Phoenix!
  8. One time I saw a group of typical fat millennials with colored hair and feminism merchandise at Great Adventure. They were very loud and annoying. I'm sure the names EL Toro, EL Diablo, BatMAN, and SuperMAN were very problematic and triggering that day...
  9. I rode millenium force as a single rider next to this typical ACER dude. THE ENTIRE RIDE he was doing on board commentary as if we were filming for discovery channel. "Okay we are going up the 310 foot lift!" "And the first overbank!" He even shouted out "airtime!!!" Over the hills. I wanted to strangle him It was Robb!
  10. If you move quickly and get there early, you won't need a Flash Pass. It's a pretty small park, and there aren't that many major rides, but the ones there are good. Don't skip Roar! They re-tracked it, and now it feels like a new-for-2016 ride, and it has some good airtime and turns despite its small size. And Wild One is a freaking MASTERPIECE! In fact, I didn't even realize it was made by Dinn. It's pretty smooth and and has some epic airtime and laterals, so I assumed it was a PTC. I really like how Six Flags America is doing the opposite of what the other Six Flags parks are doing by avoiding RMC, and actually putting great care into their woodies.
  11. The theory of Bush doing 9/11 is more believable than the Wicked Cyclone Vibration myth. People like to complain about everything being rough all the time, which is why Goliath gets way too much hate in my opinion. It's rough and aggressive, and I like that about the coaster. I can see why a lot of people wouldn't like that, but I get so confused when it is criticized for having SLC roughness. It's still one of the smoother Vekomas out there.
  12. At Hershey when I was on line for Fahrenheit, a group of teens in front of me was debating if a trolley was a coaster or not. This one girl said "The trolley is a roller coaster because it's one of the rides." And one of the guys said "No, a roller coaster is supposed to be anything that's thrilling or over 16 feet tall."
  13. You should start with Laff Trakk and Fahrenheit, since those are the most popular low-capacity rides. Then I usually do the rest of the western area. After that, you should get to the area where Great Bear is and do the stuff there. I would have an early lunch, then head to the front of the park. Then when the water park starts to get packed, that's the best time to go to the very back of the park. The first part of the day will have non-existent lines, and the rest of the lines are manageable. And I would recommend staying until the park closes, since the lines tend to be pretty short in the last 2-3 hours, and that's how I had such an awesome night. I hope you have fun, it's one of my favorite parks!
  14. Last night we stopped at Hershey after visiting Lakemont Park and Delgrosso's. I think this is a great short day trip idea, except next time I'll stop at Hershey first, then Delgrosso's (really great atmosphere and Larson tower there), and Lakemont Park (Leap the Dips was closed, but it's worth going back for Skyliner alone). We went for the last three hours of the day to get season passes, then we went into the park. But wow, what a fantastic three hours! I was especially impressed by how clean everything including the bathrooms were. The weather was okay, it was raining on and off slightly. The park was pretty crowded, but not many people were riding anything at the time. Even on the rides with no lines, the operations were fantastic! They were moving very quickly, and running all of their trains. Here's the ride list: Lightning Racer x 2 Lightning middle row, Thunder back row - I forgot how awesome this ride was! The dueling was fun, and the winners were very unpredictable. There's some good airtime, but the laterals and twists are the real point of it. Both rides were in the rain, and that made it even better! Whip - Probably my least favorite whip, but still a lot of fun. I love the loud noises! Wildcat front row - The rain made the ride a little more intense. It's not NEARLY as bad as when I first rode it, but it still doesn't have the intensity to justify riding it because of the still extremely rough ride. It used to be one of the worst rides I've been on, but now I think it's just mediocre. Laff Trakk - This was the only Hershey coaster I haven't been on, and it's my 100TH COASTER CREDIT!!! It was going to be Leap the Dips, but it's not ready for the season yet since Lakemont Park doesn't have any money. But this was definitely a suitable 100th, because I haven't been on many rides like it. The black light things are cool, and I was surprised at how impressive the actual layout was. It's tons of fun, and one of the better rides at Hershey. I don't really mind that you see the other cars and track, I kind of like that. Fahrenheit middle row - This is one of the more intense rides I've had on it, and it felt a little more forceful than previous rides. The soft restraints, while not necessary, were really comfortable. Frontier Flyers - One of the better Larson flyers out there, probably second to Kong. Still can't touch even the tamest Bisch-Rocco flyers, though. Storm Runner front row - This is one of the best night rides I've ever had. The trees and interaction with other rides makes for a perfect ride at night. It's forceful and epic as always. The soft restraints were comfortable here, too, and they did make a slight difference, since the rapid turns at the end are a bit more enjoyable.
  15. So today I had a great day at the park, but a lot of the operations were horrible. Seriously, I'm so lucky that the piers were empty. I went with two friends, so I went on some rides by myself that they were too scared to go on, but we rode most of them as a group, and it was a lot of fun. But there were a lot of negatives, such as the HORRIBLE staff that they had. I don't know if we just got unlucky, but usually Morey's Piers has pretty good workers. They were slow, and weren't very helpful, and gave off a Six Flags-vibe. For example, we couldn't get on the Ghost Ship because we were sitting there with a huge crowd of people waiting for it to open, even though it was twenty minutes after the scheduled opening of it. When we left the park around 6, it still wasn't open, and none of the workers there had any idea what was going on. Another ride I couldn't get on was It. It was officially the first time I ever got rejected from a ride for being too fat. Now I'm a pretty fat guy and all, but I've lost a lot of weight since last season, but I rode it too many times to count last year. And there were fatter people on it, but for some reason I couldn't ride. The ride operator was foreign and didn't speak much English, but I'm really confused at what happened, since I'm still able to fit on many rides that many people get rejected from with no problem. Here is the list of rides with some updates: Moby Dick Sea Serpent - row 7 - it rattled a little more than usual, but no headbanging. Still one of the best boomerangs out there. RipTide - Best traditional swinging ship out there. Maelstrom - The ride was a bit creaky, with a lot of friction between the joints. Not one, but two lights actually flung off of the ride! I'm planning on calling the park to inform them of the light issue and fix it. It's not too serious, but just in case a GP gets hit and they report it to Fox News. Rollie's Coaster - I don't know why they have OTSRs, but it's not that rough, so it's okay I guess. Musik Express Waltzer Tea Cups - These tea cups run pretty fast, and we got them spinning very well. Wave Swinger Pirates of the Wildwoods - I haven't been on this ride before, but it's a cute little dark ride. KONG - This had the most snapping I've ever gotten on a Larson flyer. And by that I mean I got a slight wobble while it was windy on top of a building. AtmosFEAR!!!!! Cygnus X-1 Doo Wopper Flitzer - One of the best kiddie rides ever. Zoom Phloom - I haven't been on this log flume before this visit, but it's one of the best log flumes I have ridden! The interaction with the SLC and water park kind of reminds me of Coal Cracker, another great flume. Tilt-A-Whirl - By far the best tilt-a-whirl in my experience. Rock N' Roll - Not quite as intense as the one at Quassy, but still nice. GREAT WHITE X 5 - front, back, and many other rows - Oh my god, it is running AMAZING! I think there is some new wood and maybe even track-work done. It is even smoother than last year, and it is going faster than ever. Were there trims that they removed? This thing was flying better than it ever has. We got some great pops of airtime that were never usually there over the years. Especially on the first drop and some other parts. Still has crushing laterals. Seriously, you guys HAVE to ride Great White this season. Later in the season it may enter my top 10 wood by beating Jack Rabbit and Lightning Racer. That's pretty insane.
  16. ^They've been doing a little bit of work each year on it, and I've heard that it is better than it was many years ago when I rode it. This season I'm going to try the front row and give it a second chance, but I'm pretty skeptical.
  17. 4 hours for Millennium Force, obviously. I'd rather wait 4 hours doing nothing in order to NOT get on an SLC! Kumlai or Jubilee Odyssey?
  18. ^Even though I enjoy wing coasters, I think that Great Bear does what those coasters try to do, but Great Bear executes it much better. It's so graceful, quick, and smooth, with lots of fantastic scenery and an awesome location interacting with a bunch of other rides. And it has its intense moments, such as the first few inversions and the corkscrew at the end scattered out through the layout well so it doesn't get boring. Even though it may be about average for a B&M invert, it still sits in my top 15 steel coasters.
  19. Medusa SFDK! Kraken (SWO) or Medusa (SFDK)?
  20. Lightning Rod Thunderhawk or Blue Streak?
  21. Idaho: Tremors Illinois: Goliath Indiana: Voyage Iowa: Outlaw Kansas: Dragon Coaster Kentucky: Storm Chaser Louisiana: Xtreme Maine: Excalibur Maryland: Wild One Massachusetts: Superman: The Ride Michigan: Shivering Timbers Minnesota: Renegade Mississippi: All American Coaster Missouri: Outlaw Run Montana: Little Dipper
  22. I haven't been on coasters in every state, so I'm unfairly judging for a lot of these. I'm going to this in a few parts since I can't type these all at once. Alabama: Rampage Arizona: Desert Storm Arkansas: X Coaster California: Twisted Colossus Colorado: Glenwood Caverns Alpine Coaster Connecticut: Boulder Dash Delaware: Nothing Florida: Montu Georgia: Goliath Hawaii: Nothing
  23. Fahrenheit "wow" moments: 1. First drop 2. Snappy corkscrew 1 3. Snappy corkscrew 2 4. Disorienting change of direction followed by solid airtime hill (not ejector but decent) Impulse "wow" moments: 1. First drop (though not as good) 2. ??? Nothing else about Impulse could be called forceful at all, and I actually kind of dislike hangtime under most circumstances. I didn't really feel much of a snap on Fahrenheit's corkscrews, and the rounded loop on Impulse is pretty intense, as well as the helix. And I prefer Impulse's cobra roll over Fahrenheit's cobra roll or Norwegian loop.
  24. 1st gen!!! Gravitron or Round-Up?
