  1. One time I had a dream with a floorless coaster and an inverted coaster in one ride. You would do the floorless section, then that track comes to an end after some straight track. In this part, there would be an overlap between the normal track and an inverted coaster track above you. So the train also has wheels on the top that attach to the inverted coaster track, and the rest of the ride is like that. That's how it would work, but the track would have to be huge due to the very heavy trains, and there's most likely no way to keep it from being dangerous. Still cool, though!
  2. B&M - Green Lantern at Six Flags Great Adventure (or pretty much most of the stand-up coasters) GCI - Wildcat at Hershey Park (this is an obvious one) Intamin - I'm not really sure, but some of the kiddie coasters I've ridden might have been Intamins. I have to check. But I'd go with that.
  3. I would go to Rye Playland if it was combined with Adventureland in Farmingdale. And if you're going to Quassy, I would highly recommend going to Lake Compounce. It's one of my favorite parks, and in my opinion it beats the other three parks I just mentioned combined.
  4. Sorry if it seems like I'm spamming from the double post, but nobody posted anything so here's a trip report of my trip to the park today. I went with two of my friends, my brother, and my dad. We were there for Wooden Warrior Day, so we got ERT on Wooden Warrior, all-day wristbands, and lunch. It was cold and raining in the morning, but all of the rides stayed open and the weather got a little better as the day went on. We stayed from about 10:30 - 2:00. That was a short time, but the rain kept the crowds away. It wasn't completely empty, but I'm really surprised but happy that all of the rides stayed open the entire time with a mostly friendly and enthusiastic staff. There was this guy who I think is a manager or in a higher position, and he was really funny and made sure we had a great time. I think his name was Phil D. or Pete D. or something. The park was clean and looked nice, and it has that old-school charming feel, despite the more modern rides being added. The view of the lake looked really cool in the rain and fog, and the park looks nice and there is some more landscaping that I noticed. The food was also really good, especially the pasta. We had an awesome time! So now to the best part, the rides. Wooden Warrior X 20!!! - Man, this ride is awesome. It was really hauling ass in the rain, and I rode every row multiple times. I rode it 12 times in a row for the ERT, and then 8 times later in the day. The back row is awesome. The airtime was epic, and the lateral and positive g-forces were really good, too. My non-enthusiast brother and friends were kind of freaked out by the rapid-fire ejector air, but it was small enough them to be able to re-ride it with me. I seriously love this thing, I can't say it enough. This was my third time visiting the park, in three different times of the year and weather conditions, and it delivers every time. Tilt-a-Whirl - Not much to say here, just a regular ride. I got a good ride on it with some forceful spins. Music Fest - The tent canopy isn't up yet, but this was my first swinging music express. I like it a lot more than the normal ones, and it is just really fun! Paratrooper - This is also my first paratrooper ride, even though a bunch of parks I've been to have them. It's a really nice ride. Bumper Cars x 3 - We rode this three times in a row, and it was fun since it was just our group and some other ACE members we were with on Wooden Warrior. It's one of the better bumper cars I've done, and there is no one-way rule, and it was just complete chaos. Free Fall'N - Not much to say here, just a larger version of a frog hopper or a Moser tower. Yo-Yo Swing - This ride is so bad that it's good! I knew that the seats tilt all over the place, but it was really crazy with the wind. It was a weird and sketchy carnival-type swing, but it was just really fun! REVERSE TIME - This thing is great! I really can't wait for more of these to get built. It's much more thrilling than the normal trabant rides, and it spins very fast! Old people who get sick easily should avoid this ride at all costs. I may love it, but this thing really SPINS! This is an excellent addition, and the park is really starting to have a strong and solid flat ride collection. Little Dipper - It's a cute classic kiddie coaster, but it's a little bit unique since it surrounds two other kiddie rides and its location by the lake. But other than that, there's not much to say here. Just credit whoring. FRANTIC - It's running a slightly shorter cycle than last time, since it just ran with 14 inversions, not 20. It's one of the best frisbee ride models in my opinion, even though it's small. Twist N' Swing 360s pack a real punch. Grand Carousel - This is a really nice and beautiful carousel. It's really good for kids and families. Crazy Cups - I sat in the same cup with one of my friends, and we spun this thing so fast! What's awesome about these mini tea cups is that they are so easy to spin. Galleon Pirate Ship - It needs to be re-painted probably, but it's one of the better traditional swinging ships I've been on. It comes nowhere near the Morey's Piers one, though! Quassy Express Train - It goes under Wooden Warrior, and there are some great views of the ride. And the train goes around twice, so there are plenty of chances to get great pictures and off-ride footage of Wooden Warrior. Not much to say about the actual ride, though. So our day was awesome, and this was my best visit to this place yet. It's really nice to see this great, classic, friendly park adding these great flat rides and growing popularity! There are now three great, must-do rides in Wooden Warrior, Frantic, and Reverse Time. But during this visit I really got to appreciate some of the smaller, family-friendly rides. And the ones here are run very well! It's amazing how they are able to fit this many rides in such a tiny space.
  5. I'm bringing some of my friends to Wooden Warrior Day tomorrow. Is anyone here going to that?
  6. So last night I had a dream where I was getting on a small Woodstock Express-type junior wooden coasters, and it was painted red and looked nice. The entrance of the ride had a small wooden canopy-type thing as shade for when you wait in line. But there was no line, so I decided to ride it. I walked through the entrance, but it actually turned out to lead to a bathroom. So I went to the bathroom and when I went to wash my hands, all the sinks were missing. There was a worker with a cart full of sinks, but he said he wouldn't let me have a sink because I was an "emo" kid. Then the dream just ended.
  7. ^^That sounds like an insane but awesome trip. You'll also really love Kennywood!
  8. Back! Talon or Steel Force?
  9. This is as fast as they move, sooo... Wow, they seemed a lot faster when I went on them!
  10. A lot of people say that they are difficult to snap, even though it's a Bisch Rocco flyer. I was able to do extreme snapping on every ride I got on it, but then again, I'm a pretty experienced cable snapper. For most people it may take a while to get it snapping, but they're 1000 x easier to snap than the pussified Larson flyers.
  11. Wow, it's a little bigger and much faster than I thought it would be! I always thought trabant rides were alright and pretty fun, but this really looks like something special. Between Reverse Time, Frantic, and all their family rides, Quassy is really starting to form a really strong lineup of flat rides! That's not very good for people who throw up too much, though.
  12. The smokey or burnt smell could be campfires, but I don't think many people would be at the campground during this time of the year. But later in the year, the campfire smell is very strong around Twister, and I love that. So that's why Twister is #1 on my top 10 best-smelling coasters. I'm pretty sure the sugary smell could be kettle corn or the toasted nuts with cinnamon near the Flyer. Probably some food.
  13. I thought Twister was somewhat smooth during the past 2 seasons, so I can't wait to try it this year!!!
  14. ^^I've been on the one at Trimper's Rides & Amusements, and it's surprisingly fun! It's like an extended Tilt-A-Whirl in roller coaster form.
  15. Cloned ride (I get away with counting them as new credits ) Death Grips - Bottomless Pit or No Love Deep Web?
  16. Urgh!!! It really annoys me when people make articals like this when they have no clue what they are talking about. I mean, where is Balder, Expedition G force and how can desperado be better than Helix! Lesser-known parks always get left out of these lists. Seriously, where's Phoenix, Boulder Dash, and Phantom's Revenge!?
  17. Original old-school Bisch Rocco flyers are awesome!
  18. ^You have to come back as soon as possible, it's one of the best parks in the country. Lightning Racer alone is worth returning to the park!
  19. Good idea, if only they had thought of that... Yeah, Kings Dominion seems to have a pretty diverse lineup. All they really could get in the future is an RMC. They could go with more B&M coasters like a wing, flying, or hyper coaster, but they don't really need all of those and they have some coasters that fill those categories like Dominator and I305. Basically if they got a new coaster, it wouldn't be necessary and just bonus.
  20. A park that just got a giant frisbee, which is one of the greatest flat rides of all time, and has put a lot of work in the past few seasons to add charm and nice landscaping doesn't sound like a "neglected" park. There is more to a good park than just coasters, flat rides and atmosphere are almost as important in my opinion.
  21. I haven't been to Kings Dominion yet, but this post doesn't make any sense. Can anyone explain what Kings Dominion has to do with Six Flags America?
  22. Shaky Intamin Rough PTC coaster with epic airtime or smooth GCI coaster with laterals/turns?
  23. Here's a small trip report from my visit today. I was with my dad and brother in Wildwood today to do some work at our small condo in the Wildwood Crest. Mariner's Pier is the only pier open so far, but we stopped in for a half hour anyway. A lot of rides were closed, but Maelstrom (which was having technical difficulties) and Ghost Ship (which doesn't have enough staff yet) were the only major rides that were closed. But it's not the summer yet, so that's okay. There is also some maintenance work being done on some of the rides and signs. It also looks like there's some new wood on Great White, but that might just be me seeing things. I'm not sure what's going on with the Nor'Easter, and I honestly don't care. Here's what I rode: Sea Serpent - I went on the 7th row, right seat (the smoothest spot on Vekoma boomerangs in my opinion). The ride's still one of the smoothest boomerangs out there, and it's really fun! The new queue line is nice, and it seems like they're working on a new sign. My brother rode the Musik Express during this time, which is actually missing the tent part right now. Rip Tide - We got in the second highest row. This is definitely the best swinging ship I've done. This actually has pretty well-sustained floater air. And it ran a really long cycle. It reached its highest point at least 10 times. Nice family ride! Waltzer - It was a fun tilt-a-whirl. Not the best out there, but I got some great spinning in some parts. It needs to be re-painted, though. Moby Dick - It's a lot better at night, but it's still a good ride for families. It's just really fun! Tea Cups - These tea cups are beautiful, and the pavilion it's under is nice. It was running a really fast program, but the cups were really hard to spin. So it ran more like a scrambler. So overall, this was a short and relaxing, but fun trip. It made me a lot more excited for the real season.
  24. I think a new coaster for 2017 would make sense, but I'm skeptical if your friend actually knows if there's a new coaster or not
