  1. You mean you don't? Man they're dropping the ball up there. Gold/Platinum passholders at WOF get a free station sample at our food/alcohol festivals.
  2. It was the load station for the Wilderness Waterboggan.
  3. There was never a chairlift at SDC
  4. So it sounds like the new coaster is not coming until 2018 now. Do you think one of those Mack spinners might be a possibility? That would be a pretty epic addition to the park.
  5. My 10 favorite coasters in no particular order Millennium Force El Toro The Beast (at night) Fury Apollo's Chariot Powder Keg Space Mountain (Disneyland) Montu Behemoth Phoenix
  6. Probably because they're literally everywhere in the park? -Near TNT entrance -Near Lost River entrance -Near Rinbhousr -Near Wildfire entrance
  7. You must have been too focused on the coasters...or finding the bread. In either case, there is one that would almost slap you if it could by Thunderation and has the awesome Family Feud with chicken and fried okra, and over on the opposite side of the park path coming down from the flume that dumps out down the hill. He said at Dollywood, not SDC
  8. 1. Smoky Mountain 2. Goat Coaster 3. Gatlinburg 4. Snow Mountain
  9. I'll agree that SDC and Holiday World are great, but have you been to Dollywood?? It seems to be the more comparable park to SDC, and although I love both - Dollywood slightly edges out SDC because, you know, Dolly Nah. A consistent theme and better atmosphere makes SDC the superior park. Mind you, I like both (for different reasons) but if I had to choose - SDC easily
  10. If it's by Flying Dutchman, that's Europa.
  11. Weather. I thought it was a nice sunny day today? Yesterday the power was out at Kings dominion as well. Heat is still weather related. When it gets warmer outside there is added stress put on the power grid.
  12. Oh joy. I await your updates with bated breath.
  13. I'm not even gonna comment, let's just hope for the best next year Yet you did.
  14. Well clearly that area is being prepped for something. Whenever WOF redoes an area the old asphalt is usually torn up and replaced with cement or pavers. The area from SteelHawk to around by Patriot is a good example - as is all of Planet Snoopy. The infrastructure had to be taken care of because a lot of what was there was original and Hunt Midwest sure as heck didn't do anything to preserve it. The Viking Voyager is basically a new ride with the pumps all fixed, the filtration all fixed and the troughs all getting refiberglassed. They have also started the next round of restroom upgrades. They redid the ones up in Planet Snoopy this year and it sounds like the ones in Europa and Americana will be done next year. Regarding thrill rides, we know that at least two will be added next year already. While some might not call them "high thrill rides" they are something completely different than what has been seen in the area. The closest examples of either ride would be Chicago (or DFW).
  15. Well that wasn't the case until Grapeslie and Insiderman came in and posted things clear out in left field. For the most part we've been discussing the changes in Bicentennial Square and the weird sign and markers.
  16. Wow. They must do amazing repair work because that wasn't the case yesterday.
  17. What if it was a restaurant moving in there, like there moving that BBQ place to make room for what Evers coming next year, the markers are literally right in front of the restaurant The markers are no where near the restaurant. For someone who claims to have insider knowledge you sure don't know the park very well. Battlecreek is surely close enough to the markers No. Really it's not. Are you confusing the ICEE shop or Viddle Griddle with Battlecreek? It appears YOU haven't been to the park in the last decade.

  19. Plus GG is local! Headquarters is on Vine Street in Cincinnati, just 30 minutes from the park. Think of all the spin they could put on that. That said, the curved drop is a major weakness in any argument against it being a GCI. Not to mention Cedar Fair has almost been working exclusively with GCI -Renegade -Prowler -Gold Rusher -Timber Wolf Rennovation -Ghost Rider Rennovation -Hurler Rennovation -Hurler Rennovation
  20. I think you guys need this over where the older splash pad is for next season.
  21. There's a full dumpster of former decorations and flats from inside the old games building behind it. You can only see if from SteelHawk so no photos. Did find it odd that the area is now fenced off (see photo)
  22. You forgot the part where you name drop the park GM's name consistently to make it sound like you actually have insider information. Best post on this forum in recent history...
