[PC/RCT3] Valley Hills

I got super excited at the thought of this park coming back; Valley Hills is one of those parks I want my park to be one day. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

Cedar Point is HUGE and could benefit from a monorail. The entire property is over 400 plus acres and the park is a little over 363 acres. Just for context Disneyland's resort is a little under 450 acres with two theme parks and they have a monorail My only fear about a transportation option that covers the park is that they are already tight on space; the ride would require a storage/maintenance facility and just take up space or constrain the use of certain spaces. I would imagine a transportation ride would also have to service the hotels and water parks. I think the lack of site wide transport is deliberate because that they do not want people riding past rides and retail. Cedar Point would have to be more thoughtful and deliberate about how they use the space and really think long term to pull that idea off. -
[RCT3] Six Flags Adventure Kingdom

I feel you, I just started mines back up. -
Three observations: 1. This ride if done correctly will fill two voids A. If it is for families it should have that 42in requirement and B. The park does not have a wooden roller coaster. 2. It looks like RMC has not cornered the market and some parks are willing to be a wooden coaster. 3. It seems like it will have alot of moments that will throw you our of your seat, I am wondering how many of the hills will be floater vs. injector.

Here is the so-called boat, for those who were late to the party. I spent an hour searching for the thing. Edit: Quote didn't get image. Thank you! I've felt so left out not knowing what everyone was talking about however I also felt like it was not important enough to really ask what everyone is talking about. Given all this talk about a boat when it seems like when we already know the theme for the next triotech dark ride. -
1974- Opening Day! & New Ride! Its opening day at Kirkmen Island! Sorry for the delay, law school is hard. Opening day is exciting because it is the first time that the general public gets to see what the park has been working on in the offseason. The park has grown so much since it has switched over to a full fledge amusement park in 1966! The newest edition to the park is visible from this aerial view of the entrance gate, even though it may blend in with all the beautiful foliage. The biggest changes have happened in The Grove, the new re themed center of the park that is still very wooded and is home to some of the parks oldest trees. The Grove is also home to Kirkmen Island's newest roller coaster, Grasshopper! Grasshopper is the parks FOURTH roller coaster and is sure to thrill guest. It is no surprise that there is a full queue for the ride because it is the opening day and the ride that everyone wants to try! What the Grasshopper lacks in size it makes up for in thrills because it has many quick dips and drops. The unique four person car allows for many cross over moments during the ride. There are also many head chopper moments where guest were ducking trying to avoid the rides supports, even though the ride is completely safe and there is more than enough clearance. Grasshopper was designed by S.D.C however while the ride is “new” to Kirkman Island it is really a refurbished coaster once known as PinfariZ40 and was purchased from a traveling carnival run by MF-RCT_ and Cinipeas. New or used, Grasshopper is a great edition to the park!

The good news is that even though the ride is not it is at least running, that drone footage of the ride makes the ride look massive and amazing. I think they may just be tweaking and getting their final inspections completed or else they would not be running a train. -

Wow this is AWESOME ! I think I'd prefer an Intamin pre-fab woodie however this roller coaster looks awesome! Few things that I particularly liked. 1. The station pass through is a nice touch that the GP would love. I could see so many people just posting a picture of that on their IG and Facebook. 2. The tunnels and rock work look great. 3. The ride look like it would deliver so much air time. It reminds me of a wooden version of Maverick b/c it is would not be the tallest or fastest but it won't be very intense. 4. How did you make all those rides in NL? Not only does the ride look great but the Cedar point looks great period. 5. You detailed everything so well. Even the station and pathway look very believable. -

At this point even if the ride is open for opening day I would NOT want to ride. It is a new ride system and a new coaster on a awkward terrain. I'll let others be test subjects. Moreover I believe that Dollywood is responsible enough to NOT open a ride after only a week of testing just to say they did not missed a deadline. Hopefully guest safety matter more than meeting their self imposed deadline. -

I did not imagine that my comment would spark pages of debate. I am glad I am not the only one that dislikes their map. I think given that they have so many attractions and it is a map of all their hotel, and the water park they should do a better job of trying to declutter the map to make it look more user friendly and less like of a slew of caricatures of what their rides look like stacked on top of each other. On a side note: I've noticed that Shoot the Rapids is gone but the space looks like a large green patch on the map. I wonder if that will be the spot of their next expansion considering it is the only piece of green space on the map. -

WOW. I've never even thought about traveling outside the country to visit a park but the pictures from this park looks amazing. It really demonstrates Disneyland would look like if it is built in 2016. The animatronics looks so cool. Tron like the most thrilling coaster that Disney has ever made. -

I think the sexiness in the new B&M designs is the way the suggest are set up. The slanted supports look so cool. I've also noticed that some B&M coaster use less supports, that could be a cost saving measure. -

I hate Cedar Fair's cartoony maps... Aside from that the map looks cluttered. I wish they used the map that they use for the mobile app. -

What ever they are doing with the queue line that will really that interesting. I think they might be doing something with the queue line to make it more efficient but I can not imagine they are going to add theming. -

I like the way the non inverting loop looks while riding but hate the way it looks in general. It looks so forced and out of place with the rest of the ride that seems to just flow so smoothly. With that being said if I was ver in Dubai I'd be first in line to ride this thing. -

I do not understand the restraint change for MF. I will go on the record and have a Coaster-damus moment and say this will be the year MF loses it's number one ranking. -

Best Coaster Layout
blk_mamba replied to DarienLaker's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've never rode Banshee but its kinda cool that it has no trims or brake run. It feels like how an old school gravity power roller coaster should feel. Just throwing element after element at you until the end of the ride. -
This is the reason I love TPR. I think the people in this board put way more thought into the theming and planning of Great Adventure than Six Flags Inc. ever has. I could a imagine Six Flags Corporate meeting on theme goes like this: 1. Can we use a DC comic hero/villian? Yes 2. Will it cost alot of money put a DC Comic hero/villian on it? No 3. Can we put it on a T-shirt and other merch? Yes GREENLIGHT!
