  1. Disney made their official announcement on their website, stating that out of respect the parks will be closed today. No information about tomorrow. France PM Hollande announced three national days of mourning, so it might be possible the parks will be closed longer. If that happens there will be some financial damage. However I have great respect for the keeping the parks closed today. Village will be open today, however I've heard that some people are being adviced to stick to their hotel today.
  2. So true. I am such a fanboy of the show, but when saying this realising I've got every Classic and Pixar film on Blu-ray. Maybe that is the reason it gets me. However I do agree that it takes a lot of your time, because you need the FP for a decent view (or get some food). Great report and can't wait for the other reports. Keep up!
  3. It looks like it packs a punch, especially for a small ride like this. Sweet!
  4. We've got a really nice Blu-ray collection. That will keep me occupied. Also Efteling is nearby and open as are Disneyland Paris and Europa Park. I won't be bored.
  5. I already believed it. I just missed that I guess.
  6. Thanks for making that clear. Last I knew it was not officialy confirmed Their was construction works all around at this time of the night. I know, it is better to work in the night than in the heat in the middle of the day, however even at that time (11AM) two days before they had at least 20 people on the site working. The train is was at the top of the lifthill at that stage.
  7. I do not think it will be winged trains: this is just for clearance, right? Hereby some photos taken last Sunday 3 AM, when I passed by on my way to the airport.
  8. Looks great! Really sad that we don't have these kind of things outside the US.
  9. It is great to see some Halloween photos from a, in general, underrated park. (I general meaning outside TPR)
  10. For Europe I totally agree with you.
  11. Well, that sure was entertaining, the bashing challenge that was accepted. In my opinion it comes down to this: Disney is not a nonprofit organisation. They can do whatever they want. Low priced AP, or AP at all, are not someones right... the fact that they excist is already a good thing. As pointed out, the lower tier almost gives you free access, you only pay for the parking. If you can afford the AP, be happy that you can. If you can't? Well, as Britney would say 'Work it b*tch.' Workd your asses off so someday you can afford it. If you are bitching about the ticket fees etc. just do not go, please spend your money on something else. Oh, and find another hobby, thanks. And if Disney decides that they do have a problem with regarding too many AP holders, well, it is not up to us to judge how they take care of it. PS Here in Paris an AP, the best one, is only $230 or so. That is just lucky for us.
  12. The ride looks like fun. Not a major thrill, but just great for the family to enjoy. Would be interesting to see the backstage part of shooting a b-roll. The drone shots are really awesome! Or is that too much nerd level
  13. Next TPR meeting, if it goes to Dreamland, Robb does the breaks, right? Thanks for your report. It is a real good thing an oldie like this did get the love is deserved. Looks really great!
  14. Thanks for posting. At least the weather made sure you had short lines.
  15. I totally agree with you on Cars. At home we are real Disney/Pixar geeks, however Cars just doens't work for us, Cars Land does! Only visited once and it blew me away. DL was beautyfull and had a real nice charm, however DCA really was our highlight. In a way it just works. Never been there before the make-over, so can't compare. Thanks for your report!
  16. That is a lot, and I mean really a lot, of candy! This on its own is enough reason for going there during Halloween.
  17. It looks like you could easily spend hours there, enjoying the food and atmosphere.
  18. Great photos! Thank for sharing yoyur experience!
  19. I am gonna be there in one month... Kinda painfull to see this structure just well.. standing there
  20. Hard to say... I think the first drop on Troy in Toverland beats f.e. Wodan and Joris en de Draak. Outside Europe I barely have ridden woodies, so can't judge there.
  21. There ran out of money after the track Well, I have never been in CP, however it doesn't seem they have a lot of themed coasters anyway.
  22. This looks really good. Please get us of of these in Europe Size does matter
  23. Wel, that is a lot to take in. Thanks for this detailed report. It is a shame that Paris is barely mentioned at the Expo.
  24. That is a lot of pink and food in two updates...Awesome!
  25. For Dutchies the nearest dive coaster is in Northern Germany or the other side of the Channel, meaning that basicly for the regular visitor the ride on itself is already a huge deal. The theming just adds up and shows that a park, not owned by any chian, can surely make it. This ride just makes Efteling more interesting for families with teenagers, dads who like a thrill and also just teenagers on their own. Baron is, in my opinion, a thrill ride that still holds on to that Efteling and Dutch feeling. Cannot wait to ride it!
