No it doesn't make any sense. I never understood why they had to charge a base fee AND a per person fee. I think they technically changed the wording this year to be: $30 for the first person, $15 each additional... So that is soooo much better...

News: Burger King Manager goes crazy!
stew560 replied to black sabbath's topic in Random, Random, Random
Finally, a real reason to call 911 at BK! -
A lot comes down to how much room you need in the car (Compact or Midsize) and how much you want to spend. If you need a midsize (Accord, Camry, Altima, Mazda6) you are going to pay more, and the car will be heavier. I have yet to be impressed with a 4-cylander in a non-premium midsize. I feel they do lack the "umph" for passing on the highway. If you can live with a Compact, or your wallet is pushing you in that direction, the 4 bangers are perfectly fine. (Civic, Corolla, Sentra, Mazda3) I wanted a sporty midsize and ended up with a Mazda6 v6 5speed. I am very happy with it. My wife wanted a compact and got the Toyota Corolla S and loves it. The Corolla is so much lighter that the 90 less horsepower makes no difference. That thing is a speedy little demon, I have never had a problem passing on the highway. I also have test driven a 4-cyl Mazda6 and was not very impressed. But I must stress to you, like I do in every car post I make, Test Drive all of the cars you are interested in. See if you can take the Test out onto the highway where you can see how it runs at speed. Cars are some of the most expensive purchases you make during your lifetime, make sure it is the one you want. Don't just buy a car because someone else said it's good, buy it because when you drive it, you love it!

Six Flags Great Adventure???
stew560 replied to PKDFreak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah, the let you through the gate and there is a rope at the fountain. No special SP benifits for a Thursday (only Fridays), but you might be able to get free preferred parking (Still have to pay for regular parking) with it as there is no longer a Season Pass Entrance/Lot. Just drive up to the guy at the Preferred Parking and show your pass... -
Also, GAdv's q-bots went up this year: New Prices: Regular - $15 rental + $15 per person Gold - $33 rental + $33 per person Makes for a very expensive additional fee...

New Six Flags Season Pass!
stew560 replied to Twister II's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
At GAdv, you get Yellow if you renew in park or online. If you hadn't renewed by a certain date they sent you a blue pass with last years picture that you could go online and activate (and pay for)... -
Six Flags Great Adventure???
stew560 replied to PKDFreak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The ERT was mentioned in the Season Pass mailer, and some people have queried the park, and they responded that all Six Flags Season Passholders are allowed in. (I doubt the people at the front gate would know the difference anyway, they just scan it) -
Nevermind... Did you try manually deleting the MSN Messenger folder and reinstalling?

Six Flags Great Adventure???

Two days are not required for just the park and safari. I would add a second day if you wanted to hit up Hurricane Harbor though. As for KK, I am sure it will be bringing in a long line, but that only means shorter lines at other rides across the park. Your best bet would to be to go on either the Wed or Thu of that week to keep the lines down. Also get to the park at opening so you can beat the rush. This is, of course unless you have a Six Flags Season Pass. If so, then keep in mind that there will be ERT on KK for Season Passholders every Friday Morning before the park opens. -
When the train is full of ACE'rs the shocks are compressed to the max and then they come through those holes...

xtremecoasters.com was able to secure video of KK testing and a rollback. See the video here: http://xtremecoasters.com/index.php?act=videos

New Jersey Shore Parks...help
stew560 replied to Jeezus Juice's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Oh cmon Elissa, the water is fine here! Especially at the nice beaches like Wildwood, LBI, and Point Pleasant. Best bet would be to hit up Point Pleasant for the Beach, Seaside for the Boardwalk, AC for the Boardwalk and Casinos (just to say you did it) and Wildwood for the Beach, Boardwalk (Watch the Tram Car Please) and the Piers. And don't miss out on Clementon either! If you do go to Atlantic City, be sure to visit "The Quarter" at the Tropicana. They just redid it is great. Shelly and I spent a weekend there in February and loved it! The Theming makes It feels like it was lifted right out of IOA! (Without the rides) -

I couldn't find any additional info on the bus from Trenton, but you could always go down to Philiadelphia (Maybe spend a day there seeing the sights) and take the bus from there. That bus does get to the park at opening. (On Saturdays at least) Maybe you could even get the bus back to NYC instead of going back to Philly as well. You could also try calling NJ Transit at 1-800-772-2222 and see if you can get a Customer Service operator to help you plan your trip.

It most certainly is different! It also has OTSRs and Trim Brakes! So FEH! Regardless, I am very happy to be getting a ride like this at my home park. (Semi-Clone or not)
