  1. *In a line for Maverick* Oh that's the old Millennium Force! That's what it used to look like! (referring to Fury 325)
  2. Pleasant Surprise: Mean Streak- Most reviews i've heard have said that Mean Streak is a head banging monster of a ride. While it definitely wasn't perfect, it was better than anticipated Banshee: Going into this ride I thought of Banshee as just another roller coaster. Boy was I wrong! The drop was actually very nice without the pre-drop section and actually received a pop of air. The only negative I could come up would be how the restraints would continuously become tighter and tighter throughout the ride (although this is the case with the new B&M restraints and the flyers). Unpleasant Surprise: Bizarro (SFNE)- while this ride definitely isn't bad (it is in my top ten) the ride for sure didn't live up to the hype it has gotten over the years. The first few hills after the first drop don't provide ANY airtime and the few airtime moments that it had were painful. Also, I noticed that the ride lagged throughout the ending of the ride. It seemed to be going REALLY slow and that it was barely making it through the hills. One last negative was that it was extremely squeaky, especially in the tunnel. All in all, it is not the best coaster in the park (WC holds that title), never mind one of the best in the world.
  3. I have only ridden coasters in the US, but I have been to a number of states. These are my favorites by state. California: X2 Tennessee: Thunderhead Georgia: Goliath Texas: New Texas Giant Utah: Alpine Coaster @ Park City Colorado: Candy Cane Coaster Ohio: Millennium Force Indiana: The Voyage North Carolina: Fury 325 South Carolina: Intimidator Connecticut: Boulder Dash Massachusetts: Wicked Cyclone New Jersey: El Toro
  4. I also got back from SFNE for my FIRST VISIT and can say that this is a very solid park. They have a great selection of coasters and flats ranging from Bizarro and WC to Sky Screamer and Scream. After my visit, I can say that without any doubt that Wicked Cyclone is a TON better than Bizarro. Wicked Cyclone (and I'm not even kidding you) has at least 15-20 moments of GREAT airtime. I rode this six times today and I was delivered a bruising. On Bizarro, which is definitely not a bad coaster at all (both of them made my top ten) delivered air time, yet it was very painful. Also the train seemed to lag throughout the course of the ride. The first drop was good, but nothing special. I will definitely come back here!
  5. Before summer, the main ones were Millennium Force, El Toro, and Bizarro. I have now ridden MF and will be riding the other two in the next few days, so I'll come up with another three. I would have to say Expedition Geforce, Formula Rossa, and either Griffon or Sheikra (or the Dive Coaster that might be at the Point next year )
  6. Had by best visit ever to a park yesterday with Coaster Mania! I also got a new number one: Millennium Force. In total we got 27 rides yesterday with 2 on dragster, 3 on maverick, and 5 on millennium force. Cedar Point is amazing!
  7. The only fairly long coaster I've been on is Califonia Screamin. I'm riding Millinium force, the beast, and fury 325 this summer so I should post on this thread later.
  8. Well I know Goliath might not be open as they have been replacing the lift chain. Does anybody know if that's done yet?
  9. Scream at Magic Mountain. While this thing isn't incredible, if you're looking for something to do, this ride WILL NOT have a line PERIOD. Walk on every time.
  10. Yes but an Intimidator 305 type giga wouldn't take up too much space. I haven't been on I305, but it looks pretty compact. Think about this: remove viper and place a small giga in that area. It may be tight, but I bet they could make it work. Remember, this might be totally absurd, so don't judge.
  11. Great finale to an awesome adventure! Is Intimidator a lot or just a little better than fury? I thought from the beginning that firy was going to be amazing and Intimidator was just another roller coaster. Great job!
  12. Nice update! Looks like you enjoyed your visits to both King's Island and Dollywood. BTW, did you try the cinnamon bread? It's to die for!
  13. I've ridden 2 GCI's: Apocalypse at SFMM (my number three wooden) and Thunderhead at Dollywood (my number 1 wooden). I have ridden both recently and I loved both. While they may not be the smoothest, they are relentless and amazing. I'm finding The Voyage, Boulder Dash, and El Toro this summer, so my favorite woodens will probably change.
  14. I agree with this too. In the POV, the train was very sluggish and it didn't look like 73 MPH.
  15. The most intriguing element on this entire coaster has got to be the "hammerhead". I can't even imagine what it Is going to be like. It looks like Orlando might be the next theme park trip for us. With the additions of Mako, Skyscraper, and whatever Busch Gardens pulls off, Orlando looks amazing!
  16. This may be an odd question, but my mom and I want to get the most out of our trip. When walking down Main Street, are there any stores that go all the way through so you are closer to Wicked Colossus? Thank You!
  17. So, it seems that a question has been brought to the table. It is a very simple question. Bizarro, from what I have heard, reigns supreme in Six Flags New England. Here is the question; give your reason for why you chose the answer. Bizarro or Wicked Cyclone?
  18. By far, even though I haven't been on too many flats, my favorite has got to be a drop tower. Lex Luthor might look like the best around here, but I'm telling you, Supreme Scream is where it's at. IMHO, Supreme Scream is the best ride at Knott's.
  19. It looks as though we are going to be at Holiday Park at the same day.
  20. With my two favorite coasters being RMC's and from the reviews this thing has received, this will surely make my Count. But... Since my family will be gone the whole month of June, I won't be riding until probably mid-late summer. I'll be riding both Wicked Colossus and TC, so I'll be able to compare the four that I would have ridden.
  21. Cedar Point for the first time! Going for Coaster Mania and half the day before. Then I'm heading to King's Island and Holiday World to start our "Coaster Adventure".
  22. Number 67 at Knott's Berry Farm on Saturday. Timberline Twister
