The Official Nintendo Wii Discussion Thread
Angry_Gumball replied to MiamiBoii4392's topic in Random, Random, Random
At first, I was like "WTF? Wii...weird name." Actually, when I saw the name posted on here, I thought someone misspelt 'wifi.' After thinking about it and reading what it's name means, I'm kinda starting to think it's cool as it's unique. Still waiting to see how many more 'wii' jokes there will be...found a boatload of them on the gamefaqs.com messageboards such as, "If I bought 2 of them, then would it be a 'wii-wii'?" -

I did some reading on the whole "Wii" thing and found this on Wikipedia. I guess it works...but I can only imagine how many jokes us silly Americans will come up with about it once the name is more well known. -
I have another idea, which was mentioned to Robb I think last week on the chat. Basically, he'd choose a given themepark pic and from there, he tells us the theme or whatnot (Say, cheap carnie rides as example). Each of us work off of the pic. Basically, we all start with the same pic and end with something completely unique.

OMG those human "Super Monkey Ball" spheres are fun. (We didn't have the cushioned ball, just a zip up inflatable ball. We climb inside, zip it up and someone takes a leafblower to inflate it.) I haven't done them downhill but messing around, my friend and I did dueling hamsterballs...Afterwards, he exited his and came by and gave my ball a hard shove. I went flying, bit it, and went tumbling across the grass. I later got my revenge on him...Oh yea, 2 things: They get hot in there and don't fart in them...you'll regret it. -

Ok, time to revive this as this is my last of my scratchboard projects for the semester. (Next week, we visit an old graveyard and draw it). Anyway, I could have done something else today but I wanted to do 1 more scratchboard to make up for my disappointment of Montu...so what did I do? It's brother, Kumba. This will not be in color as I don't want to mess this up. So far, I'm very pleased with the results. I may do a photoshop color later down the road if I'm curious to see how it looks but not the master pic. One more thing I learned: Steel coasters do seem to work out afterall on scratchboard. Anyway, enjoy the pic. I will probably finish this on my own time at home as we're done scratchboarding. B&M Goodness -
Site outages....

Is the server still going weird? A few times today, I had a "This page can't be displayed" happen here. Also, going into the forums were still a bit sluggish. Other websites, everything's running fine. -
Most Disappointing Coaster!

Superman: The Escape. Discovery Channel over-exaggerated it's experience as once I rode it, I wondered "Where's my 6 seconds of weightlessness???" I wasn't stapled down either. I actually felt like I was driving my car down a freeway, reclined back (ok, that felt kinda weird but nothing big), and looked up at the sky. The rest felt like I was a passenger illegally sitting backwards on the floor of a van again, going down the freeway. Psyclone also let me down as well. I heard from 1 website before that Psyclone was a bit rough but I'd expect that out of a woodie. I was all excited as it was my first walk-on at SFMM (on a saturday). Looking down the first drop, I raised my hands and prepared for a shout of joy...Instead, it came out as "Ow..." Afte the turnaround, I thought "OMG, Airtime!!!" Coming on the hill, it rolled over it like my car driving up an overpass. Repeat that process for the rest of the ride...I coulda slept on it if it weren't so jerky. The funny thing was that I went on it again, but we had to balance ourselves out so the train would be able to make it over the hills. -
Personally, I'd like to see a TPR-themed Monopoly. Going to "Jail" would be more like getting banned. You pay up when you land on someone else's themepark/coaster. The game peices could consist of rodents, taiko drum faces, variety of coaster cars, and ofcourse, a donkey.

RCF brings back so much memories...that was my first coaster game I bought. There were tons of limits but I was happy at the time as there wasn't much else out there quite yet. (This was pre-NL, pre-ultimate ride) I had also bought Sim Themepark but my computer was too slow for it then. I remember in RCF the fun I had crashing the coaster and watching the whole thing crash like a line of dominoes. It's one of those games to have if you just want to collect roller coaster-related stuff.

Codes needed for installation of game.
Angry_Gumball replied to DarkStitch626's topic in Random, Random, Random
^^The code is not on the box, it's conviently located inside the CD's case. Also, I'd remove that CD key as that is illegal and if you don't want a mod to go on you. After second thought, I thought I'd share mine (official) for everyone to use. Use at your own risk... Say, isn't this illegal? Oh well... You're sure you still want it? Ok, enjoy! Sorry, but it's illegal...this is just to show where you can actually find where it's at on your jewel case...impossible to lose. See? Can't lose it at all! -
Actually, on some of the Dell's I've seen, instead of screws to remove the side panel, there's this little sliding lever thingy. All you have to do is push it up and slide the panel back. Actually, I liked the way Dell has done the way of removing the panel to get inside of the computer. If you have that little lever button thingy, or even the giant thumb-screws, try sliding it up and pull back the panel or unscrewing the single or however many thumbscrews there are (provided you don't have those stupid warranty void labels). It's a peice of cake to install after that. Just plug it into an open PCI slot and you're set. Hope that helps!

Rollercoaster books
Angry_Gumball replied to rollercoaster1234's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Although it's slightly outdated, I'd highly recommend David Bennett's "Roller Coaster" book. (Has a huge pic of Mantis on the front) It has tons of information on the history of roller coasters, some excellent clear and large photos of coasters: some photos take up 2 whole pages. (The book's about the size of a 9x12 photo) I actually obtained mine by borrowing it from the library a while back and accidentally 'lost' it. I never really lost it but I paid for it meaning, the book is now mine! -

I do believe that the RCT3 CD key is printed on the insert behind the jewel case's plastic. *Grabs RCT3 box* It is indeed printed on the CD case, behind where the disc would sit. -

Hopefully, this will help beginners to see what there is before springing up a new topic. I'd more consider this topic as "The Most Common/Popular Topic" thread as these seem to be the most common topics getting locked. EDIT: You forgot one, as I just found a doube topic. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=5174&highlight=gba#5174 -

Sorry for double post but things happen...anyway, I'm done with the picture but was a bit let down earlier (I think I killed it, guys...). I guess it isn't so bad now when I look at it but it's still not quite the results I wanted...which is what Photoshop is for: touching it up and printing it. I felt unsure of my Montu at first when I started it tuesday but was later pleased with it when I posted it on here. Maybe I'll feel the same once I post it on here. I uploaded 2 versions: The actual color image, which the supports came out too dark of an orange and a grayscale version done in photoshop as I was more happy with the black & white version. Well, you be the judge...here they are. Last thing, I learned that woodies are better for scratchboard than steel coasters. And my photoshopped B&W version, as I preferred after coloring it. Color version, which came out too dark on the supports...they're not orange but a creamy orangy color. -

You know that when it comes down to it, Myspace.com is the primary reason why this ride is killing people. You know the drill...blame myspace.com for everything as the media tends to do as well. -
She's a lot better this morning. I think I may have 'overwalked' her yesterday, in which it pooped her out.

Well, actually, both of my art classes I'm taking have different techniques: My figure drawing class technique is to get the basic shapes down and then fine tune it. My other class, (Which I did still lifes) were basically drawing the actual shape and begin detailing. I could work either way but for beginners, they're best doing the rough shapes as they're bound to screw up (Like me drawing people when I didn't know how to do so). -
AIM Virus, please be informed.
Angry_Gumball replied to l3ite_me1313's topic in Random, Random, Random
Is it a virus or is it more like a spyware? Recently, my mom's computer (which my bro uses) has been acting strange: Displaying popups about Winfixer or whatever it's called, an error message about a security breach something to do with a worm...lastly, sometimes, imgages wouldn't show up. I reformatted the computer twice over now and still it does some of it's weird quirky things. -
You know, I was just going to post that site. I've used that site to learn photoshop after using a photoshop basics book at school.
