  1. I haven played DKR since what...1998? I'll pick that up for sure too when it comes out for DS. Last game I played was Tetris DS and pwning someone on it.
  2. You mean the red/orange track with yellow supports? Kong used to be Orange with brown supports back in 2000 and repainted it for the 2001 season.
  3. Under Man's request, here's the whacky video of us on the kiddie Rock'n Tug ride...it was actually quite fun. 060723-019.zip
  4. Sorry I'm 2 weeks late...here's the promised low quality screengrabs for pix. Sorry about the interlacing...anyway, enjoy the pix. I'll end the TR with Man screaming to death on the Rock'n Tug at Tava's Jungleland! Ok...time to stop spinning before I spew all over! *begins singing* Just keep spinning, just keep spinning...spinning, spinning spinning... And they did... Get that camcorder outta my face or we'll poop on you! Yay! Finally working. Prepping Taz for a 5 minute test run... Sorry guys...We'll do our best efforts to operate the ride ourselves without all that fancy electronic junk. Broken rides again...It swing like this for 4 minutes or so...I even timed it on my camcorder. KBF Crunched (As seen from one of the TPR videos.) This hurt like crazy! Well, SF must keep with tradition: Closed Coasters...Since they don't have a Deja Vu, they figured to close Boomerang. The train sat there all day like that. Wiii!!! Rock'n Tug in Tava's Jungle Land...one of the few rides I could ride there and POV as well. Another Siggy: Medusa through Hang 'n Bang track. Signature shot: Kong and Medusa through ride op's head. Yay! Sign of Quality! Note: If you turn your monitor upside down, you'll be able to view the pic correctly. Yay! More Siggie shots...Kong through mesh roof, framework, and spiderwebs!! Create-A-Caption V1.5 Like I said...it was HOT! Couldn't go without drinking water...even when mid ride on a coaster. By the way, Man is sitting next to me. Corkscrewy goodness! Signature Shot 1: Medusa train going down first drop through the trees! Yea, waddya want? You think you gonna get something from me?!? Waka waka waka....I mean, waddle waddle waddle...By the way, my name is Mr Waddles. Pic of the day...Stingray petting POV shot! Should I swim by that weirdo or change directions real fast? Pet meeee!!! I'm all slimey!! Bashing heads since day 1... Wiii! First ride of the day after ride ops playing tetris by stacking trains.
  5. Mario Kart DS..practicing my 'snaking' as I suck at it.
  6. Personally, Myspace is OK...kinda overrated though...Out of visiting Myspace and TPR, TPR has priority.
  7. I start on the 21st...2 more weeks. I'll be taking Probability & Statistics (Again..dropped the summer course), Watercolor (Maybe do watercolor coaster paintings!), Health, and as I need to be a full time student the only other class that fits in my schedule is Computer Literacy...easy A for me. I'm a bit worried about Statistics though...I hear it's a tough course even at the slower pace.
  8. I went to a museum a couple of years ago in San Jose, CA and it had all this roller coaster stuff (that's why we went) but they also had an earthquake simulator. It was freaky, you stand on it and then you push the button and it just started shifting...it was supposed to be like the one in SF in 1906. Oh yea...the Tech Museum...I went there a few years ago and saw the rollercoaster thingy. Anyway, they had one of those earthquake sims at Steinhart Aquarium in SF as well way back when I was younger...dunno if it's still there or not. And earthquakes feel kinda weird...it worries me though as I have tons of shelves in my room and I don't want to have things crash down and bonk me in the head while I'm sleeping or anything.
  9. Ah...the memories of the Loma Prieta...quite freaky to see when you're a 4-year-old kid.
  10. Um yea...I was on the TPR chat and playing my Tetris DS when everything suddenly shook. Suddenly, everyone on the chat is saying "Did you feel that?" Today at work, I asked people if they felt the quake and no one even knew about it. The largest earthquake I felt was the infamous 1989 earthquake which seemed to last forever. That was actually quite scary especially when I saw the Bay Bridge's upper deck collapsed.
  11. "That kiddie coaster's riding it's brakes." (Talking to some guy at SCBB last month) "Belmont's Giant Dipper is the sister to our Giant Dipper: It's just a mirror image and it uses the same type of trains." Atleast he got the train parts right. SoCal's GD layout's completely different. "After the lift, the ride's powered by gravity, right?" (Conversation about power going out with my cousin) "Yea, The Edge (PGA) had a brake failure and flew off the edge of the track and killed people." "Some guy slipped out some on the Demon and hit his head on part of the surrounding rocks." Funny thing was that I believed those so-called accidents when I was little, but then again I didn't know any better either.
  12. Talking to a semi-coaster addicted friend at work: Friend: "Yea, they changed Vertical Velocity (SFMW) because of heavy winds...did you see when that track swayed? Me: "Actually, SFMW has a 150 foot height limit, V2 was over 180 feet. The had to modify it to be within it's boundaries. Other V2 clones are still vertical" Friend: "But they're not in earth quake country..." I then explained how they reinforced other impulses due to too much stress on the track.
  13. Wisdom Teeth is a whole nother story. They on the other hand, HURT LIKE SHIZZZZZ Geez..thanks. Now, I have something to look forward to. Still need to get all 4 teeth pulled out but I'm definitely in no big hurry whatsoever.
  14. I really think that PGA should consider this... Top Gun Jet "Ghoster"
  15. "I'm sorry...we're expecting technical difficulties. We'll get you guys off shortly."
  16. Our heatwave is over for now...we had a nice 75 F temperature today with some slight breezes.
  17. Conisder checking out SCBB if possible. Not a big park but it's well taken care of, well ran, and lines are actually quite short. Last but not least, they have a really good collection of flat rides.
  18. We never had family warfare when paintballing but we had my entire household as 1 team with a few extra random people against some other players. Were you using rental guns or did you have your own equipment?
  19. Bumping another Nintendo DS game topic. First off, I hope you all still play these games as I saw no more activity in the mario kart thread. Anyway, I just bout Tetris DS and wanted to challenge you guys whenever. My friend code is 884943-705993. Nickname is 'Billy' but will probably change from time to time. See you guys on there (hopefully).
  20. I have an unusual obsession of riding Vekomas, which explains why most of my avatars poked fun at them.
  21. Games I was/am addicted to: Pokemon Red/Silver RCT series Mario Kart DS Super Smash Bros: Melee
  22. Sorry to revive another old topic but I just bought MKDS. As of right now, I'm trying to connect to the internet with it. Anyone still play it? I'll be looking forward to meeting you on there. My friend code is: 515471 332899 Oh yea, my Yoshi-racer is repping TPR. TPR Reppin' Yoshi!
  23. Mine was actually a generic one from Fry's Electronics/Outpost.com that came preinstalled with Windows. I added things to it as time went along. My current specs are: 1.8 ghz AMD processor 80 gb and 250 gb HDD DVD-RW drive CD-RW drive 256 mb GeForce FX 5200 video card 512 mb of RAM...time to upgrade soon.
  24. Well, temptation found me and so I finally decided to buy an NDS along with Super Monkey Ball: Touch n Roll. Graphically, it's almost up there with it's Gamecube cousin. I definitely can't wait for Diddy Kong Racing to come out as I played that game to death on the N64. Anyone know of a way you can do the download station thingy at home with your wi-fi connection? Also, I'd like to add, the DS easily pwns the PSP. Sure, the DS technically can't play videos or music but if you get the right thing (like I have) you can. As for the N-Gage, a co-worker recently bought one and has it loaded with tons of NES games, though they're played a bit slow (framerate).
