  1. Sounds like you have just as much with Flash as I do! I loved how that came out! Nice mix of NL and well...cartoony graphics! Elissa sounded funny...especially when I toggle with my sound settings on my computer and bump up the key 4 notches...she sounds like she's on helium.
  2. I did...basically, he's referring to headchoppers and how he felt like he was gonna get chopped going through the loop on a standup in Japan. Anyway, mine would have to be when I rode my first true "Big" coaster, Grizzly...not that I really care for that ride now...but anyway, I got bribed into riding it. (Threatened that we'd leave PGA if I didn't ride). I was freaked out mainly because it was made out of wood and not steel. I was thinking that it could easily topple over due to the many splits in the wood. After riding, I realized it was nothing...just a shaky slow coaster. My other one would be my first ride on the Giant Dipper. It was more like waiting in line than actually on the ride. I was nervous in line to the point that I was shaking and became even more nervous as I got seated and dropped into the "Black hole" tunnel. After that ride, that did it for me on roller coasters....I suddenly became addicted and as soon as I got off the ride, I didn't even answer my parents when they asked me how it was...I ran back in line for 5 more rides or so...then the park was closing. Last one was riding Drop Zone at PGA. Many have heard the story but I'll tell it anyway..Many know that a kid fell off of the ride and anyway, I was there the night before with a group of 3 other friends. After a 25 minute wait in line we got on. The ride op never checked our OTSR's and they were seconds from dispatching the rides. My friend was joking around and said "Hey, what would you do if suddenly your harnesses released and while the ride lifted up?" and made the motions of pulling up the restraint. It actually came up and we also found that ours were also somehow released. We yelled for the ride op and told him that we weren't secured or even checked...all we got was a "Sorry 'bout that" That could have been a more of a "We were actually gonna die" instead of feeling like we're gonna die. Ever since, I've always felt uneasy about Intamin drop towers...but had no worries on the S&S towers. Turns out that we were in the same car as the kid when he came out. I'm not exactly sure how he actually got out but many say he tried to squirm his way out. Personally, to this day, I still think it had something to do with the car it's self.
  3. My brother asked me "S&S? What's that...is that because of the noise the ride makes?" (Reffering to the hissing noise.) I told him it was the manufacturer who built the ride and pointed to the little sign at the op's booth that said "Manufactured by: S&S Power, Utah...." The same day at Santa Cruz, I struck a conversation with some random person about old seaside parks (Pacific Ocean Park and stuff) and then got to talking about So Cal's Giant Dipper and our Giant Dipper. He told me that So Cal's Giant Dipper is just a mirror image of ours and runs the same trains. (Well, atleast he got the same trains portion right.)
  4. Not sure if it's been posted in this thread but here it is...(And it's themepark related!) Kid Gets Pwned by Shoot the Chutes
  5. Are you planning on getting this 4d to actually flip according to the 2 extra rails on the track? I assume you aready know how a 4d coaster works...if not, here's a breif explanation taken from Wikipedia: Wish you luck with this, especially if you plan on using those "X" rails to determine which way the train's going to flip...(I personally would probably let them spin freely on it's axis and drop the whole "X" rail concept. Actually, I have an alternate as the layout is going to be difficult for the 4d. With the rage of spinning coasters due to NL's 1.6 update, why not make a spinning coaster? This actually be more feasible than the whole 4d plan.
  6. With the rage of spinning coasters, I decided to feed the fire. Ok...Maybe I rushed at putting this out but I think trackwork's satisfactory to my liking and I was too lazy to support it so I used prefabbed supports. Also, I'm not good at getting these to run more than 1 train at once without it e-stopping on the lift. Anyway, enjoy your nauseating ride and be sure to ride more than once before you comment as spins are different each cycle. Before I forget to mention, if all goes well with comments, I may make a V2 with all custom supports and possibly run more trains...if I can get it to work right. Spin Out.nltrack Enjoy! Don't Puke Now!
  7. Giant Dipper and Hurricane have both great views but SFMW's Medusa offers quite a view as well...you can check out that old parking spot you parked at a few seasons back as well as the freeway and the park's entry plaza...not too much else.
  8. As much as they'll enforce this law, people still won't follow through. I'm glad for this though because the other day, some idiot was actually texting someone at the green light....I tooted my horn for him to move and about 5 seconds later he responds. Next light, he does it to someone else. In the mean time, he's drifting side to side while driving. I myself can't drive too well holding a cell...I have to have speakerphone on as turning is near impossible. (I'm one of those who's so used to having both hands on the wheel.)
  9. Oh yea...don't forget Tava's Jungle Land. The samba tower in the back is fun...and it's one of the few rides they'll let you on back there. There's also the Rock 'n Tug. Also, prepare for tetris-like stacking up on Medusa...they stacked up quite a bit when I was in what was supposed to be a 5 minute wait...that extended out to 15 minutes.
  10. LOL...That was great. Keep 'em going!
  11. I still got my Game Gear as well...yes, it had major suckage of batteries. At the time I bought it, I bought a set of rechargables so I don't keep draining batteries and spending more. I finally faced the fact that it wasn't quite as portable as intended as I just hooked it up to the power adapter both at home and one in the car. I don't think anything will ever top that old white/grey brick of a Gameboy though...Gotta love dull green/yellow screens, clunkiness, and 4 AA batteries, not to mention the ginormous add-ons like the Game Genie. Those were the days...
  12. Have fun at SFMW...Just to forwarn you, their topspin is running a poor program now. It used to do 6 flips all the time and now it barely does 2. Rememer not to stick your fingers into the dolphin's blowholes...Man knows what I'm talking about.
  13. Still waiting to see this become a full blown Flash animation...Didn't realize how much more the FD3 comics had to go. Pretty funny stuff you got there.
  14. Next time, you gotta try "Extreme Bowling" when you roll 2 balls down the lane instead of 1...or do "Sunday Driver" bowling where you make the ball go like 2 mph down the lane. We did that last time I went bowling and it was quite hilarious...and actually got some decent points.
  15. Good thing I saved the Spykids 3d glasses...Slightly off topic but your 3d RCT pictures gave me the idea to convert some of my coaster videos I shot into 3d using After Effects (Photoshop for videos).
  16. I do recall, S:TE's station being hot, stuffy, and smelling like BO from those too lazy to wear deoderant...The only intimidating thing was hearing the ride take off through the doors in the small chamber of stank and sweat...and hearing people screaming as it launches. Otherwise, it's kinda 'meh.'
  17. I always wondered...how well would a speed slide (the nearly vertical ones) do on a cruise ship? I think it could work and would also be 1 crazy messed up slide at the same time just because of the view from way up there and the possible swaying from the ship rocking, not to mention breezes way up there as well. As for coasters, I think only kiddie coasters would really be possible due to forces and stuff...dont know if a coaster hurtling down a drop would throw the ship off balance as it's having a downward force to 1 spot.
  18. It's time I go up into our attic and fish out the 2600 and the dozens of games we have...including the infamous ET game.
  19. Good old out and back woodies provide decent airtime...well they do for me. Riding one like Giant Dipper provided some nice butt-slamming airtime over the hills. Unfortunately, I can't say too much as Giant Dipper's probably Nor-Cal's only airtime-loaded woody.
  20. Ok...sorry for doubleposting again but I got everything to work out. WillMontu's explanation helped out once I figured out that on Home Edition you have to boot up in safe mode...then go into the security settings and do all that fun stuff. Thanks WillMontu for the help that I finally figured out!
  21. My turn to jump into the bandwagon as well. I haven't been there since 1999 but from everything I'm seeing, all of the original rides are being ripped out and left as is...nothing to replace. I haven't been into the waterpark either but they could use a ton more if they want to pull in tons of people. I really wish they didn't rip out Tidal Wave/Greased Lightnin' as that was a classic for them...Orbit too. That ride's special as it was my first inverting flatride. Triple Play was yet another fun flat. I remember the illusion of flying through the window on the nearby building while zipping past Vortex. Personally, I haven't really cared to visit PGA lately as most of their coasters seem short/mediocre...I wish they would restore some of their classics (too late for GL anyway) and also bring in something major (New coaster...nothing mediocre). Ok...I'm done with my PGA rant.
  22. This actually looks cool...To me, it looks more like a quality coaster rather than 1 gimmick (TTD) and that's it. I'm sure this will be much more enjoyable than TTD.
  23. That's going to do me no good...I have home edition, not pro....My last resort will be to take my computer into work and see if the computer whiz there can take a peek at it, or to fix my original Windows XP installation.
  24. My computer wasn't password protected...So basically, I lost all of my pictures and stuff on my C Drive? Well, technically didn't lose them as they're still there...but basically, I can't get to them no longer get to the pix or anything? (I can get to my program files and NL tracks.)
  25. Still getting the "Access is denied" message trying to get into the "Owner" folder. I am set as the administrator as well.
