  1. Stitch's Great Escape at Magic Kingdom. I'm amazed at how, after only two rides ever, how badly I never want to do this attraction again. It annoyed me at every sensory level and I came out somehow angered both times.
  2. Seven Dwarves has consistently held a 45-120 minute wait since it opened, and the new parade is as tough as any to get a good seat. I think you've done well. If you get your third reservation for something before the parade starts, you can grab another later reservation when the parade ends, which can be helpful as many rides at MK carry long waits.
  3. I'll try to be nice...planning failure here. Under 3 hours in the Magic Kingdom is an Utterly Worthless amount of time. You will see absolutely nothing, and this park does not function like you suspect it does "on a weekday". There are over 40 attractions in the park, and a proper visit to that park is MORE THAN 1 day. You could, in alternative, potentially ride a few roller coasters at Fun Spot America on I-Drive during that time. They are open late, with free parking and closer to the airport and the tourist hub. 1 day is enough time for each of the other parks you mentioned. Arrive early. Search the forum for more advice.
  4. ^Thanks for the excellent second look. Robb is right about Orlando driving vs California driving, it's one of the only two reasons I could never live in that state (rent). Orlando is really only too bad compared to other southern cities, though there is a lot of sprawl here.
  5. Coming over the third hill on Apollo's Chariot is the most beautiful natural view I've ever seen at a theme park.
  6. ^I visited for the first time ever two weeks ago, and came away laughing at any park other than BGW that tries to claim world's most beautiful. Please, don't ever try to claim that THAT place is a parking lot. It's the most gorgeous natural terrain of any park in this country and it still looks incredibly fantastic.
  7. They always could. In fact Dueling Dragons was once planned for the exact same spot.
  8. I think the second responder wins for getting the park and coaster right. Your turn WFChris.
  9. One of the weirdest layouts ever made.
  10. Anaconda at Gold Reef City! I think I win one!
  11. Anyone who's a fan of theme parks should be a fan of Haunts. At Universal it's literally like they come up with 8 new park attractions and a new show every single year. Every house is at least as fun as Twister or Disaster, just so impressive what they put on with the budget. I can't freaking wait and now universal is now a half mile from my apartment.
  12. ^ -3D Soarin' ride through Pandora on a Dragon -Plant Life/Animatronics/possible drops Boat Ride that was rumored to be off but is now probably on again -Floating Mountains -Probably food and shopping -Rivers of Life water show on the other side of the park and other night time entertainment.
  13. Probably a post best reserved for an @tweet or possibly a different (but less seen) forum, but in case TPR didn't see it, there was a funny video of Scott Wiener reviewing frozen pizzas that made the internet rounds recently.
  14. ^^ Two things that make riding the rides at parks much easier: 1. Cargo shorts with button pockets, or even better pockets with zippers. 2. A new plastic ziplock bag to put everything in on water rides. This way you can avoid lockers, avoid leaving your stuff somewhere, and have confidence on any coaster that your stuff won't come flying out.
  15. ^If you search around, the list of houses has been quasi-leaked for a while now, This year is pretty IP heavy, if I remember. IIRC Dracula and Michael Myers are both getting houses as well. I think I remember a "thanksgiving gone wrong" house too. Either way I'll be there with my frequent fear.
  16. Ok, My top ten (ish) rides in history that i wish I could go back in time and ride...a bit more detailed. And actually a lot of Cheating. 10. Rye Aeroplane Coaster: GCI just build this spiral drop masterpiece somewhere already. Just tell a chinese park you have a can't-miss design, they'll be on board. 9. Last Year's HHN House: American Werewolf in London. Easily my favorite house ever and I can't see anything topping it in the near future. Wish I could go through again and again. 8. One of the three Cyclone sisters by Harry Traver. The most brutal rides ever built. What could go wrong? 7. Action Park-The Loop. Who wouldn't want to brag to everyone that they rode this back in the day? 6. Original Journey into Imagination, because there's no argument (from video I've seen) that the old version was much better, today it's pretty blah. Alien Encounter as well, for the same reason. Stitch Encounters is IMO the worst theme park attraction I've experienced. 5. Earthquake or Pirate Ride at Cedar Point, because there's no truly themed attractions there today and it would be deeper, richer experience there if the park had somehow skipped these two on its historical trend towards modernization. 4.The Tickler, Loop the Loop, Fun houses, Beach water slides, Traver swings, Tunnel of love, anything at Coney island between 1850 and 1920 essentially. 3.Lake Winnie, Whacky Shack and Double Ferris Wheel, both of which I rode as a kid and both of which I miss terribly. It's almost a crime how relatively recently they got rid of the Shack especially, and I went through the one at Trimper's and had a big rush of nostalgia. 2. Eagle's Fortress: This one is the highest rated ride that has been removed in modern times. I've even seen it personally as an SBNO attraction. Sorry BBW and all others. 1. Mauck Chunk Switchback Railway: The first rollercoaster! No restraints! Straight down a mountain! 100 MPH! What was this fantastic ride really like? No one alive knows...
  17. ^Mystery Mine is also the coaster I'd most want to ride at DW, I'm a sucker for themed coasters. The drop into the last inversion is a pretty wild moment as well. ^^I think it's a joke that RCDB doesn't list these alpine coasters. A complete and utter joke. You are sent up a lift hill and gravity coasts you down, on steel rails. Yes you can control the kart's brakes but you absolutely do not have to at any point as the ride has its own braking systems. There's nothing about it that doesn't say rollercoaster and It actually would kind of bother me if someone didn't consider it one after riding it. Literally the only thing that's remotely arguable is that it's a single seat train, if you attached three karts together you couldn't give one good reason why not.
  18. Holy CRAP at all the new stuff. I particularly love the "Destroy very cute baby dragons dark ride". Lotte World is an extreme example of great usage of space, and continues to get ever better with huge funding from the management. Got to be one of the most underrated parks in the world. I liked it more than Magic Kingdom for sure.
  19. If this is Intamin, I will literally not be able to even.
  20. Well, Waited about 6 hours on Gringott's Opening day to get 2 rides in...and would have waited longer with my good friends. If I'm at a new faraway park with something I want to ride: Whatever it takes. If I'm at an Orlando park with a visiting group : Probably an hour and a half, if I had to. If I'm at an Orlando park solo or friends who've also seen it all: I'm not going on any day where I have to wait more than 40 minutes for anything.
  21. ^Get your butt over there then! Gyeongju World is right next to a historical city with a lot of cultural sites and beautiful mountains, I'm sure a visit in May would be absolutely fantastic. Here: One week in Korea... Day 1 Arrive Incheon Airport, Head to the city and Walk down the Cheonggyecheon river at night and then eat street food/shop, rest Day 2 Go to Lotte World, full day. End by walking/eating around Gangnam then taxi back to hotel. Day 3 Hike the entire length of the Seoul Fortress wall, completely worth every step. Shop in Namdaemun, eat more food. See Gyeongbokgung, then find someone to sing KPOP with in a karaoke-bhang, maybe with some foreigners in Itaewon you meet in a bar Day 4 Everland, with T Express. Ride to Gyeongju Day 5 Gyeongju in the morning, seeing Seokguram and Cheomseongdae, then Gyeongju World in the Afternoon. Days 6 and 7...Your choice. Fish markets in Busan, Tea Plantations in the southwest, Chuncheon, DMZ Tour, Tongdo Fantasia for the Triple Corkscrew, Credits at Seoul Land, Children's Grand Park (And do the Gangnam dance on video), or E-World...get in touch with Korean Drama locations...everything is a quick bus, train or taxi in Korea. Day 7 or 8 Fly home If you already love Korea you'll love visiting. It's still relatively cheap to get around everywhere and Koreans are completely friendly.
  22. Ehh...I just think with Three B&M capacity horses+Loch Ness already in tow, plus the additional 6 seats, it really would be less of an issue than it even is at SFDK. I think it'll be a great, welcome addition and fits into the park with the potential theme. Plus, Superman SFDK was only 6 Million, that's pretty reasonable for a launching, thrilling, marketable, skyline-filling steel coaster.
  23. I really should go teach English in China for two years...
