  1. Same here. Same for me too. Definitely I feel the same.
  2. Did anyone else hear in the announcement about revamping the food options and a new atmosphere...Matt Ouimet .
  3. This looks better than Leviathan in every possible way. Bigger hill, bigger drop, more elements, longer length, no dumb brake runs. And Leviathan is the 13th ranked ride in THE ENTHUSIASTS poll. Anyone who is flat out complaining about this ride is someone I will never, ever listen to for their opinion. It will be a top 15 steel coaster in the world when it opens, and a thrilling, iconic attraction for 40 years.
  4. Yeah they totally didn't need America's tallest non-launching coaster. Who would? Bunch of stupid park owners. A wing coaster would have been SOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than a 325 foot tall Park Icon that will draw enthusiasts and some non-enthusiasts from across the country. I mean, what the hell Carowinds! This is so stupid I can't believe they didn't go with Vekoma to build this. Millenium Force only wins best coaster in the world like 1 out of every 3 polls that are taken, how ridiculous that Carowinds would build something that clearly looks just as good with possibly more airtime how stupid how dumb.
  5. Hey, Remember when B&M didn't build Millennium Force 15 years ago? Well, we finally found it!
  6. What is Carowinds building next year_______ Bees?
  7. ^The contract for usage of The Walking Dead franchise was for three years, and this is the third year they are featuring that franchise. Next year there will be no Walking Dead. I've heard rumors that it's actually in a soundstage and not back at the parade float building, but I don't know if that's true. If it's in the same spot as last year's Cabin in the Woods, we could see some record queue lengths for that one.
  8. ^That actually sounds incredible. Someone needs to do an El Loco in a box.
  9. I really hope whatever next coaster Georgia has in it's future is either unique and family friendly, or truly world class forceful beast. Their lineup is filled to the brim with solid rides, and something from Intamin could really give them some great national-level buzz.
  10. How in crap's crap is Thunder Run not the #1 coaster on this list? Every other ride listed is either gone for being a terrible coaster, or still remains a terrible, exceptionally rough coaster. You know when you talk to someone who isn't a coaster enthusiast and they mention how they hate wooden coasters because they're so jerky? This list is a great reason why.
  11. Wow, that's actually really early for a Halloween event. Knott's, HHN Both Coasts, All of Six Flags, and BGT Hall O Scream all start the next weekend or even later.
  12. I didn't really think about it until I looked from above on Google maps, but there's actually a TON of room for them to do this expansion at SWO. -It really shouldn't affect Happy Harbor, Wild Arctic, or the existing stadium. Even the Dine with Shamu area doesn't really need to be changed. -There is a path running behind the stadium currently, but it is a seldom-used pathway as it is with only the Shamu viewing area between the park bridge and Happy Harbor along that path. -The area between the Nautilus Theater and the Shamu Stadium is dead as it is, this will completely transform the path along that pond from the deadest spot in the park to maybe the biggest draw. -That pond is already partially dug out, saving on costs if they choose to use this entire area, though there is some existing elevation change there. -On the other side of the path, where Terrace and the Sea Garden currently are can still easily be converted into new attractions, and I've heard from good sources that this is an area of focus in the near future. If you click the Image you can see an Orca in the back pool, for size comparison to how large SWO can actually go here.
  13. This post reminds me so much of Rollercoaster Tycoon's Nausea mechanics.
  14. Orlando is the best. All bases are covered. Disney World: The Most Magical Place on Earth Universal : Disney+More Stuff for 15+ ages Busch Gardens: Amazing Regional Park Seaworld : Amazing Marine Park Legoland : Amazing Children's Park Fun Spot America: Clean and Awesome Jersey Shore/Boardwalk/Fried Food type of Park . If only Aquatica or Wet N' Wild would get the itch to be quite as amazing as Schlitterbahn Braunfels, Splashin' Safari, Wild Wadi, or Yas Waterworld.
  15. ^Lots of people on rollercoaster forums. Intamin makes more thrilling rides, period. This is still easily enough to make me want to drive 8 hours for (and my missing Nighthawk credit).
  16. -If you LOVE Harry Potter, do both parks. Express would help greatly in getting almost all the attractions other than Potter accomplished. You will miss many without express, even using the single rider lines, even being there all day. Even with express there are a ton of rides at the resort to do. You would still want to avoid the regular queues at Forbidden Journey and Gringott's to cut down lines. -If you don't LOVE Harry Potter, stick with your family in IOA and do everything there including Potter, lines will get longest at Hulk, Spiderman, The Hippogriff (not kidding) and especially the water rides in the afternoon. No express and avoiding busy times of day for main attractions should get you on everything and more than one on Dragon Challenge. Express would guarantee you multiple rides on everything. And for future posts, remember that there are dedicated threads on the forum for these questions for every major US park.
  17. If I had to pick anything that's the closest to renovation, it would be Kidzone, as there are actual rumors about it, and the rumor of the third gate being a more family oriented park. Shrek is still well-known, Disaster is only 6 years old and it's hilarious, Twister can never go because we need Bill Paxton's dramatic acting in our lives.
  18. ^I counter your worst attraction at Universal with SHREK the torture device.
  19. I just heard that Be Our Guest has now started a paper-based fastpass-return time plan for lunch, starting at park opening. Just a heads up to anyone visiting that this new system will be coming in and there may be no additional stand by line once tickets are gone.
  20. I hope there are more effects than shown in the video. This is a great addition for families and for the park, but if it had more to it than big, overdone cutouts and glow paint it could make me more likely to go.
  21. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGh I'm so excited! None of the originals really intrigue me, but it sounds like there was some visual potential in each of them. I can't wait to feel the fear! The best thing is we are back to FOUR scarezones. Yeeeeeahh.
  22. The Lost Valley promotion looks like the better deal, since you get food with it and it's per person cheaper. Both only look that valuable if it were a busy day, considering how much cheaper just admission is.
  23. RMC has expanded their manufacturing base and came out with two coasters in both 2013 and 2014, I'm sure they are capable now of getting both retrofits done by next summer.
  24. Truth! I agree with the above poster that it all really functions as the world's greatest walk-through attraction. A lot of the new stuff in the shops for Diagon is really nerdy and book-specific for sure. And expensive as hell, I've always wanted the Bertie Bott's Every Flavor beans they sell but at 12.99 for a quarter pound of Jelly Bellies I've never bitten that bullet. I'd have to imagine the interactive wands and clothing are selling well though.
  25. The lines for Gringotts are still 200+ minutes on weekends. Are we really being so quick to judge that it's not crowded there? That's 3 hours for a pretty efficient ride system! Hogwarts Express has been eating people...well...it has a capacity of 3000+ per hour! What's to be expected? The wait time for Ollivanders (to pick a shop) has decreased...well...there are now 4 showrooms, instead of the single 1 available at Hogsmeade opening. And about Butterbeer...The number of resort-wide outdoor registers selling a product which is no longer brand new has risen from 2 in June 2010 to 7 including hogsmeade. And that leaves out the Fountain of Fair Fortune or the restaurants. So yes, even with steady demand (unlikely) the wait times should decrease dramatically. I think that any sentence judging the crowds or merchandise sales for Brand New Diagon Alley+Hogsmeade vs Brand New Hogsmeade need to be taken with a big grain of salt. I'm sure if Minion Mayhem added a second showroom the waits would probably become half as big overnight! And Diagon Alley not only doubles the capacity of Harry Potter, in many ways it triples it.
