Canada's Wonderland Discussion Thread

There's no way you will drive on the 407. It goes faster if you go on the 401 and the go on the 402 (in London) and do the Port Huron Bridge. It's less cheaper going through Port Huron. After you cross the bridge, you will be on 94 and you can get back to Chicago. -

Tips for Thursday August 21st? -
What about a Tsunami Soaker? It's a small fit, cheap addition and people at SFSTl, SFDK, and La Ronde seem to like this ride. Or they could just be REALLY cheap and just send in a set of flying scooters. I know some people haven't ridden these yet, because flying scooters is something everyone enjoys. It has a lot of thrills.

Agreed! Better than Power Tower at Cedar Point. -

Rickrollercoaster cares. I'm not interested in having a fight over a drop tower open. -

Ride Bucket List
coasterchitchat replied to Evanaj15's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Neither have I. I think the wood coaster I have ridden which ranked the highest was lightning racer (ranked 40th and something) which is kind of depressing, especially when I went to great adventure last year and el toro was closed I rode Voyage last week and it's my new favorite woodie. -

1) Yes. There is no problem doing this. 2) Waits without a fast lane plus can reach up to 75 minutes. But those are for the big three. Also, you can play some plinko to skip the lines since that works a bit better on Maverick instead of fast lane plus. 3) Yes. Just make sure they get there hands stamped (I think so, but I haven't done that in a while). Enjoy you trip to Cedar Point! Make sure you watch Lumonsity by Iron Dragon at night. Great show. -

They filed a new trademark for the Mantis trademark for November 14, 1995 and it become official on November 17, 1995. -
This story was so great. A man lost 120 lbs and rode Goliath, his first coaster in 10 years! On top of it all, Six Flags Great America gave this man and his wife season passes. It was nice to hear Six Flags doing something so positive and to hear it right after a sad incident involving KidTums yesterday. http://wgntv.com/2014/07/30/man-loses-120-lbs-rides-first-roller-coaster-in-10-years/

I think if Cedar Fair decides to go with RMC, Timberwolf would be one of the woodies that Cedar Fair should do a RMC Hybird treatment. -

I really want to get out to Beech Bend and it's only a 7ish hour drive to there, but for some reason I've never visited this park. A GCI woodie is a good woodie and this one makes me want to go down there. -

That's just for Wildfire because RMC signed a deal with Vekokma to use their assistance for rides outside the US -
Nice job Six Flags.... Sorry about the horrible experience, Robb. Six Flags just hiring 18 years for cheap labor and makes kids cry. If the HORRIBLE staff is reading, I'd suggest you guys take a reality check at the staff and NOT put in a new ride next year. Instead, we get nice staff. There's our reason for the 8% drop in attendance.

You cannot compare Disney and KBF because they are two different style of parks. I wasn't comparing them, one of the guys above was talking about how he liked the family friendliness feel at Disney better than at Knott's. I merely was commenting on that and saying well thats no surprise... I like the staff at Holiday World more than the Disney staff.
