Intamin's safety record is really rough in comparison to other manufacturers. Here's their wikipedia just to start. I love intamin coasters and have several of them in my top 20 rollercoasters, but if I were running a park I would really try to look elsewhere. -Maverick's Heartline Roll -All the other Intamin-Cedar Point opening year major mechanical issues -I305's first turn and other delays. -Falcon's Fury Delays -Pilgrim's Plunge -Perilous Plunge -Oakwood's Hydro -Several Cable snap delays including the Xcelerator, SFKK incidents. -Repeated Restraint Failures. This is a big one IMO. -Noticeably high downtime rates for most of their attractions. That said, whenever other manufacturers have gone as big as Intamin, often it turns out just as mechanically challenged...Rip Ride Rockit, Steel Dragon, Vekoma GIB's, S&S air launchers, Some Premier Coasters, etc. But for Intamin it's a common thread. B&M rarely has issues. Nice and smooth, more expensive, but more reliable. That's why Cedar Fair goes with B&M. I think Intamin crashed it with Holiday World after Pilgrim's Plunge and wanted something unique so they went to B&M and told them to do a launched invert/flyer. -
My Cedar Point Coaster Campout Experience

Tony Clark, Bryan Edwards (the PR Director) and Cedar Point all follow Theme Park Review on twitter so they'll be reading this. If you guys at CP happen to reading this, I would LOVE to say that YOU guys are the BEST! Best coaster enthusiast event. Also, every time I go to Cedar Point the Luminosity show continues to wow me. Cedar Fair should put these at the other parks. -

I was at CP for Coaster Campout and they were teasing for Rougarou and had paint on Mantis? Mantis as Rougarou? Uh... not for it! -

My Cedar Point Coaster Campout Experience

Welcome to our Scandi Trip! --Robb "No matter how much you do for people, someone will always bitch about something..." Alvey I went (and I gotta figure how to post something and I had a different experience) and there were at least 5 people that were complaining about the freshness of the food. It's nice that Cedar Point actually made some real, good food that was for FREE. Sorry about the Scandi Trip complaniers. - Maybe something Rougarou related is coming next year (dark ride similar to WMG?) I throwing guesses, but this park is simply the BEST! -
Something tells me that KD is done messing with Anaconda. The paint job and fountain splurt up is about it. I think they won't be doing anything else to it. Personally, I wish they would've just torn it down rather than try to spruce it up. Grizzly and Hurler though, I get. Hurler seems to be running a bit rougher this year and Grizzly seems to be running normal. Cedar Point's corkscrew is a hot mess. No one really rides it these days. Same think as Kings Dominion. I think that KD will get a water park expansion next year. If they go with RMC in 2016, I could see them doing an I-Box on Grizzly or Hurler. They already have an invert so a wing rider would fit well (if you ride in the back like I'm about to do on GateKeeper.)

Live Coaster Campout Update: Excellent event! Great job with the food and everything. Rides will come Monday (after ERT and all that.) I'm waiting for GateKeeper right now. -

Not sure if this was posted, from Screamscape. Maybe a more thrilling Wonder Mountain's Guardian. A dark ride in my mind is not thrilling. I could see the stand-up trains from Mantis removed and replaced with floorless trains. -

A few weeks ago, I started timing each post to publish about 20 minutes later than the day before. So try not to fret ... it's all part of my evil plan. Are you guys going to film the announcement and put it on youtube in cause if were there and our camera dies (happened during Banshee's) we can see it later? -

I was think black and gold, because it would go with the roman theme there teasing. -

Aren't both their water coaster prototypes? Besides, when has there EVER been a problem with any "first" from B&M? Intamin and TGG are dead with the Kochs. B&M always testes it for a long time before installing it. -

Were you given options of what kinds of coasters?
