Glad to hear that! Come to Cedar Point some day and ride WindSeeker. You can see Canada. -

I live outside Detroit and why does Detroit being awful have to do with Cedar Point attendance? -

So you saying shooting at werewolves is something teens will enjoy. -
I meant a bystander got struck. By the way, does NJ have the most strict "safety" regulations of any state? Or does that "honor" go to California or some other state? I'm not sure about it having the most strict safety regulations, but I'd imagine they're pretty strict. As someone in Canada (i've heard we have some relatively strict regulations when it comes to rides), this seems like overkill. At my home park, they'll allow guests to walk pretty much under Leviathan, during parts of the ride where it's running from 60-90+ mph. I'm not blaming this on the state tho, IMO, it was the park's fault. It was pretty stupid on the park's part for not checking into things like this. I always thought parks had to check with local regulations and provincial/state governments before they even started building, but I guess SF's exempt from this Even worse, this isn't the first time SF's run into trouble with local regulations... Remember SFDK's V2? Yeppers. Six Flags doesn't like following rules.

Yay!!! NO more Mean Streak in 2016. Hopefully. Please do NOT RMC Hybrid this coaster. Just put in an insane RMC woodie. I'm gonna have a marathon riding session next year on Mean Streak. -

It's is open all the way!! May not seem like a big deal to other people considering it's just a windseeker, but it has an interesting story and took forever to open. But it means a lot to the people who don't have much else except worlds of fun like me. I have a question to the people who have windseekers at their parks. How comfortable are they? They look pretty fine CP's WindSeeker restraint is exteremly comfortable. I always have to get a ride on WindSeeker every time I'm a CP because I get a really, really nice view of Lake Erie. On clear days, you can see Canada. You'll love SteelHawk (err... WindSeeker.) I've never been on a SkyScreamer so I can't do SkyScreamer vs. WindSeeker comparison. -
PTR CAROWINDS!
coasterchitchat replied to Nickstroberg's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You're the expert on KD. Nice to see you got 21 rides on i305. 2nd weekend on opening weekend at Cedar Point there was 1 hour wait but I played plinko so I got to skip the line. I have to say that MF is a bit over rated. I like Maverick better. Intensity is Maverick's name! -

Maybe have a 45 degree lift to save some space. It's 325 feet, tallest non-launch coaster. Do you think it could somehow reach 100 MPH? That'll put Carowinds on the map? -

This looks a bit better than Leviathan. Looks like a bit more exciting but I've never been on a B&M giga, just MF at CP. Looks like they'll have to remove some roads and trees. -

If the park wants some extreme, they ask for it. If the park wants something more tame or low, they ask for it. B&M can do anything a park wants them to do. -

A Disk'O doesn't do it. The coaster boys don't go there when it's just a bunch of flats. Since CP Is my HOME park, I do go to it often. -

Does anyone think that Flight of Fear (cough Fire cough) is getting removed? With 2 incidents in 2 weeks I think KI is done with this. -
I kinda like the theming of wolves chasing you on a coaster. Why do you NOT think it's wooden? Cedar Point needs a wooden coaster. I can't stress to you how much a crappy ride Mean Streak is. I one them even fell asleep on it for god's sake! But a French named coaster in Frontier Town is the weirdest thing ever (2nd is when SFNE added Goliath when they had Flashback and 3rd is La Ronde when they added a SLC when they had a B&M invert.) A French themed dark ride with wolves chasing you and you shoot it at the wolves sounds like an epic dark ride. The only problem with the dark ride is that it's going to the be in the Coliseum (arcade by Raptor) and the front's received a LOT of love in 2013 with GateKeeper and the front gate redo. The middle got some love this year with Pipe Scream and Lake Erie Eagles. The back needs some love. Skyhawk is the lastest love they've given to the back in 2009.

Carowinds Discussion Thread
coasterchitchat replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
They probably aren't doing heavy promotion because the whole world knows it's gonna a giga coaster (as the public dubs it, a coaster over 300 feet.) It's Fury 325, tallest, and fastest non-launched coaster in the world. Carowinds on the map! Nice job Cedar Fair! Using $50 million dollar properly. -

According to Screamscape, there are footers around Soak City for that expansion. Can some post some pictures?
