The crazy part about these inverted incidents (2x SFOG's Batman, Flight Deck, Raptor) is these are LOUD old school B&Ms. How can you NOT hear the train comin??! Just very odd and unfortunate -

Yeah I don't think speaking ill of someone who has passed away in an accident, even if it was their own fault, is very kosher. -

I'm not seeing them either. They may have taken them down if there was a camera pointed at Raptor (Like there has been lately.) Yeah the cams are almost always pointed at Raptor, Gatekeeper, MF, and TTD -

Is this the first time someone died at CP in an accident? -
As bad as I want the park to get a giga or a Premier launcher, I must agree with this. I remember when Robb posted the video of SFFT's Batman, it quickly attained a high number of views (close to 1 million I believe, which is stunning for a coaster vid). Point is the ride is weird looking and polarizing. It will pique curiosity enough for people to come ride it and/or see it in person. Will the ride still be popular in 10 years? Probably not, but Gradv by then will have seen a return on a $6-7 million investment 10-fold

PTR: Southwest US parks and brisket

Thanks, now I want BBQ and I live in California. Nothing but chain BBQ places here. I want some real, authentic Texas, Memphis, or Kansas City BBQ -
I think a giga or a 4D like X2 (Supposedly S&S can now offer this type at a more affordable price according to an interview at IAAPA) would be the perfect addition for Gradv. If they don't want to break the bank, I think a Premier multi-launcher (ala FuII Throttle but bigger) would suit the park just fine. Not sure if Gradv is soured by the Chiller debacle though.

I thought the vests on Gatekeeper and Banshee were perfect. I hate the old school B&M OTSRs, so bulky and hard. -
I don't see MM removing any coasters until they get their 20th, they want that record of course. After that, they probably wouldn't be able to add to many because like someone said maintenance is already overwhelmed as it is. I really do hope they do something with Deja Vu's spot, it's saddens me everytime still seeing the footers there.

It will be interesting to see how they pull off a vertical loop with such wide trains -
RMC is far and away the leader, but I see what he's saying. Premier has really taken a big chunk out of the small footprint market cloning S:UF as well as their spaghetti bowl coasters and custom stuff like FT using multi-directional launches to get more bang for the track buck. S&S debuted the free spin 4D at SFFT which is certainly innovative and now it even looks like they took a page out of Premier's book with that new multi launch coaster they're doing in NJ which looks pretty fun. I think Vekoma still deserves some credit though. They may not be doing head turning stuff like RMC, but if you follow them on Facebook theyre still doing quite a bit. They're always doing custom work that they don't get a lot of attention for in my opinion like their Disney installations, the family coasters they've been doing lately look pretty great and I LOVE the new cars they've been installing. Maybe it's not truly innovating exactly, but I feel like they're a lot more creative than B&M or even Intamin in recent years.
