  1. I'm probably going to get lambasted for this, but maybe the park should actually have an off season. Like close down completely from Nov to Mar and rehab the coasters, re-paint/re-pave pathways benches, bathrooms etc. The park is just exhausted from overuse, the ride breakdowns (with the exception of TC, that's a whole different apple) are a telltale sign. *waits for the pending verbal abuse*
  2. Adding Fury 325, Goliath (SFOG), Lightning Run, Piraten, Boulder Dash, Expedition GeForce, T Express, Cannibal, The Junker, and The Voyage to my lust errr... list
  3. I booked my plane tickets to the east coast for Aug 22nd, so looks like I'll miss out on the Shockwave credit lol.
  4. Yeah, pretty much all B&Ms are the best in the front seat. Hypers, inverts, stand-ups, flyers, floorless... though I haven't ridden a B&M giga YET! (Fury got my eye on you )
  5. Majestic Alluring Valorous Exilirating Resounding Igniting Captivating Kinetic
  6. So allegedly Six Flags is looking into purchasing a new version of the Zamperla Air Race instead of more Larson Loops for 2016. That sounds a whole lot more promising than Larson Loops IMO. Hopefully MM is on the list for one... (Rumor via Screamscape)
  7. Which family flats did they take out to add coasters?' MM never really had many family flats to begin with, maybe just the Granny Gran Prix, Sierra Twist, Yosemite Sam, and Spin Out. None of which were replaced with coasters. I guess you could count the Circus Wheel/Jolly Roger where Goliath sits now as a family flat.
  8. Lex Luthor, Viper, Revolution, Riddler, T. Colossus, and Green Lantern
  9. You'll definitely want to make use of Twisted Colossus' single rider line if you go alone next time. It's like gold, especially if you have a good grouper.
  10. Are there any other parks in the world that have them in the same gate? I believe Holiday World, Six Flags New England, Six Flags America, and Six Flags Great Escape are all inclusive. I'm sure there's more, but those are the ones I know off hand And I personally think CGA is a better all around park, yes SFDK has better coasters but they also have slow operartions, a cramped layout, and a more worn down look compared to CGA. Just my .02 though
  11. Hey, does an Acura count as a Honda since they are manufactured by them? Just wondering, since I drive an Acura
  12. The ride is definitely more tolerable in the front seat, less intense though.
  13. RMC has already started work on both Shot Rod and Storm Chaser. If they finish those projects early, it'll free them up maybe to add some more projects. Money talks lol
  14. I just watched a vlog online where someone visited this place. Looks so fun and very unique
  15. Wow they're really making a move on this. Love that bright red track
  16. ^Not sure Gerstlauer is too keen on working with Six Flags at the moment. Strained relations really mess things up sometimes. I always wonder if possibly MM could've had an Intamin hyper had relations between MM and Intamin not gone sour because of Superman. Glad they made up though
  17. Regarding the Apocalypse RMC rumors, I remember hearing murmurings regarding that a month or two ago but was under the impression it was for a few years from now. A retracking would be great as the ride needs it, ultimately they should just iron horse it though. The ride is just going to continue to deteriorate as time goes on, why keep dumping money into it just to keep it on life support.
  18. Is that pic of Yolo real with the cars on the loop simultaneously? I've only seen that in the animation video. I wouldnt even imagine that is safe lol
  19. ^I would have to disagree, I think Flight Deck and Goldstriker match up well against Superman and Medusa. I do agree though once Roar is RMC'd it will bump up DK's ride line up immensely. I feel like Cedar Fair still won't see it as a wake up call.
  20. SFDK attracts significantly more guests than CGA, and to be honest it's sad because CGA is the better park. CGA has a very fresh and well kept appearance (much like it's original sister park in Illinois), has a great flat ride selection, an attached water park, and a very nice layout. SFDK imo is very cramped, coasters basically piled on top of one another, no water park, and slow operations (except Superman the ops haul on that one). The only thing DK has over CGA is the fact that Six Flags is willing to invest in attractions every few years while Cedar Fair is a little slower in that regard.
  21. I'd blame Six Flags' stellar maintenance record before Intamin. If it were a manufacturer that didn't have a long history of issues with downtime etc; then I'd say Six Flags. Intamin has a crazy track record of mechanical issues.
