  1. Looks like its the parks front entrance. This is sad. Update: park is confirming it is. F*ck.
  2. Ruh roh https://6abc.com/4-alarm-fire-erupts-at-ocean-city-boardwalk/10154162/ OCEAN CITY, New Jersey (WPVI) -- A large 4-alarm fire has erupted in Ocean City, New Jersey. The Action Cam showed firefighters battling the flames on the Boardwalk at 10th Street Viewer video showed heavy flames and black smoke rising over the boardwalk. Firefighters could be seen dousing the flames on top of building near Steel's Fudge and Preps Pizzeria & Dairy Bar. Fire crews could be heard yelling at passersby, "Folks, you got to stay back!" Action News is working to gather more information as this story develops.
  3. ^ And runs all year round. (Besides Cheetah Hunt is better. Flame away.)
  4. That's not what I am asking though - are there any other SF parks that are in full-blown construction mode at the moment for a 2020-but-now-2022 addition? Are they actively working on Aquaman right now? Related: Jersey Devil was topped off. Video from FB: https://www.facebook.com/sixflagsgreatadventure/videos/955580508303294/ Update: the park just shared these on FB:
  5. I dunno, having spent some time in the area outside the park (my sister lives in Athens), I feel like slow is a way of life in GA. I love SFOG its my fave SF park, but I'll agree the operations definitely are not the greatest. But knowing how slow service is just about everywhere in that part of the country, it makes it a little bit easier to deal with slow ride ops, etc at the park.
  6. I mean, I'm not sure why they'd be cracking away at construction if the plan was to push this back another year. Are any of the other SF parks currently erecting their new-for-2022 additions? (Legit question, I'm not paying attention to much besides this and Velocicoaster atm)
  7. The park posted an update today that I missed. Here's some for ya https://twitter.com/SFGrAdventure/status/1352316917315416071
  8. Replying to a 14 year old comment, whoa.
  9. Couple of shots taken from across the lake, found over on the Great Adventure conn group on FB. Topping off is imminent.
  10. Speaking of construction, the lift hill is starting to go up. (This will open Memorial Day wknd, at the earliest. )
  11. Nice one, thanks to AJ, Robb and everyone else involved with this! This year was super easy as I only had four park visits in all of 2020, resulting in only one new credit, tho I did bump a few other things around. Top 25:
  12. ^ It's pretty gross that he's left the video up as is after they responded how they did. But he's getting clicks, so...
  13. Coaster Studios is a little whiny douchebag.
  14. OK then answer me this: How exactly would people that are going to possibly ride that coaster in the future even know what happened since there is absolutely no story about it to begin with? Being honest about a major derailment? How are they being dishonest? How are they hiding this? The f*cking train was 200 feet above the strip for all of Vegas to see. Major derailment? You've got to be joking. No one died, it was not major, there is no story. Enjoy your time here, judging by your posts, I'm sure it will be short lived.
  15. Nope. It's the perfect fit. Sounds about right. I was kinda playing into the folks who love to say things like "X park chain doesn't work with Z manufacturer anymore because they don't like each other" or some bulls4*t.
  16. So I guess this means Six Flags is working with Intamin again...
  17. LOL. I'm sure coming out with a statement as to why your new coaster trains derailed on the lift hill will definitely cause the masses to flock back to Vegas. Do you guys think about what you post before you post it? lmfao There's no news story, therefore no reason for a statement. Only enthusiasts want to know what happened, and we'll likely never know for sure and rumors will swirl forever. Either the Premier train had an issue navigating the course causing that much stress on the wheel assembly (doubtful but not impossible) or the wheel assembly in question was not installed correctly causing its complete failure. They'll most likely never come out and say why because no one but enthusiasts care.
