  2. Hilarious 1997 commercial for the Great Nor'easter, uploaded and sent to me by a family friend.
  3. That video is actually from earlier this week, it was going around Facebook. But yes apparently Nitro reopened this afternoon.
  4. Here are the aforementioned photos, more can be seen at https://www.facebook.com/groups/wildwoodconnoisseurs
  5. I've never operated any coaster before but I find it hard to believe a launch coaster built within the past twenty years has the ability to dispatch with a OTSR wide open. Also, (as always with these frivolous suits) why did he wait so long to file? We need someone who has operated an accelerator coaster before. @jrice92 and @eltororyan to thread lmao
  6. Hahahahahahahahaha what a jerkoff. Dad sues over 9-year-old son’s near-death experience on Hersheypark’s Storm Runner rollercoaster https://www.pennlive.com/news/2020/07/dad-sues-over-9-year-old-sons-near-death-experience-on-hersheyparks-storm-runner-rollercoaster.html
  7. Completing the honey-do list? A birthday? A nice raise/promotion? A tipsy night out when its that time of the month? Saying just the right thing at the right time? Never does it happen after an e-fight, I can assure you.
  8. Well Dragster was testing this morning so there goes that theory.
  9. I love how when you hit the brakes Skyrush is like hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
  10. Looks great, but yeah what he said. ^
  11. LOLOL! That one went right over my head. I was so thrown by the font that I didn't notice the onion in the background or that it said rings. JFC.
  12. ^^ Definitely looks like it says Onion. A 287 foot onion is prob gonna smell real bad.
  13. BuT ThE MaKsks Are GuNnA CoME OfF anD GiT RaPPeD Up In TeH WHeeLs! We ALL GUn DiE!
  14. ^ It's literally the most played out SF dig anyone can make, are enthusiasts able to come up with an original joke at all at this point? This this this this all of this.
  15. Some updates: https://www.moreyspiers.com/park-status-temp Cliff notes: - Adventure Pier will not be opening (this was heavily rumored so no surprise) - Mariners will open but no Sea Serpent (wtf), Super Skooters, Ghost Ship or Henekee (whatever that is). - Surfside will open but the only attraction running will be Runaway Tram. Yep, that's right. No Zoom Phloom (what?) Nor'easter, Atmosfear, IT, Kong, etc etc etc. Food and games will be operational. Sounds like they're blaming this on staffing and the inability to complete winter maintenance on time for most of these rides. - Raging Waters will operate but Ocean Oasis will remain closed for the season. So the three major coasters, the excellent flume, and the three best flats they have will all remain closed. This pretty much has convinced me to just push my 2020 pass to next year. Ah well.
  16. I, for one, am absolutely shocked at this totally unexpected news.
  17. I'm lucky to have Great Adventure a little less than an hour from me. If I can get on Toro, Nitro and Wonder Woman and have some beers after this six month dry spell I'll be perfectly content.
  18. ^ Construction has stopped completely, and the banner has been removed from the parks website. Its still under the "whats new" section but I'd bet the entire project gets pushed to next year, as SF seems to be doing this for all of the new-for-2020 projects chainwide. Hopefully I'm wrong. I'm bummed but completely understand why any park would do this. The entire point of a new attraction is to get people in the gate, but no parks can operate at full capacity so why bother? Not to mention if it does open this year they're most likely going to have to run it at half capacity so the lines gonna move niiiice and slooooow. Also the majority of parks aren't going to be able to justify new-for-2021 attractions after losing 3 months of income this year, so it makes even more sense to just push what they had planned for this year til next.
  19. ^ Yes, that seems to be the case. There were screenshots floating around (check Screamscape) where *apparently* some manufacturers (RMC in particular, also the contractors who erected Pantheon) have placed liens against SEAS for partial non-payment. But other park chains (including Disney) are apparently dealing with the same issue with their vendors. SEAS picked a bad year to build 5 major ground-up coasters, and because most of the manufacturers (other than Texas Stingray) have not yet completed/signed off on/handed over the rides to the respective parks and will not do so until final payments are remitted, those rides cannot operate until then. Seems like SF has pushed all of their new additions to next year, I'd gamble SEAS will do the same.
