  1. lololol that you signed up just to post this.
  2. LOL when can we start calling this thing a lemon?
  3. I didn't pay any attention to the Racer project but can someone explain what makes Gravity Groups prefab wooden track different/innovative compared to the Prefab wooden track Intamin innovated two decades ago? (also, screw the GTA, their picks for top coasters is mostly laughable, as always. Candymonium in the top 5? GTFOH. And MF... still? The Beast over every RMC? lmfao)
  4. So two things... 1. At least two of you have now mentioned having pain/cramping on just one leg, not both. I dunno, I don't see how that could be an issue with the restraint, sounds like a personal problem. 2. Do y'all ever stretch before a park day? If you don't, some advice: you should. Like as if you were going to work out. I'd legit always done this early in the morning before walking a shi*ton and getting thrown the eff around on a bunch of crazy rides.
  5. For what its worth, I have ridden JDC exactly once and was with two friends who both complained about the seats/restraints being awkward/uncomfortable, while I had no issues whatsoever. Its worth noting am the largest of the three, both in height/weight so I'm not sure if that factors into the issue at all.
  6. https://www.nj.com/news/2021/09/woman-injured-on-tube-slide-at-six-flags-hurricane-harbor-water-park.html Woman injured on tube slide at Six Flags’ Hurricane Harbor water park A patron of the Hurricane Harbor water park that’s part of the Six Flags Great Adventure complex in Jackson was injured on a water slide Monday afternoon thanks to another rider’s mischief, a park spokesperson said. The patron, described only as “an adult guest,” complained of pain following a ride on one of the park’s tube slides, when “the guest’s tube overturned as a result of another guest jumping out of the tube, which is a violation of the park’s safety policies,” Kristin Fitzgerald, a spokesperson for the park, said in an email. Fitzgerald said the injured patron was taken to a local hospital by the park’s own ambulance service, though police assigned to the park responded to the incident. Capt. Steve Laskiewicz, a Jackson Police spokesman, said the department was not involved. Fitzgerald declined to offer additional details of the patron’s injury or condition, citing confidentiality rules under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, or HIPAA. “The safety of our guests and team members is our top priority,” Fitzgerald said in the email. The Asbury Park Press reported that the woman had been on the 75-foot-high Tornado slide. The Tornado sends patrons down a long tunnel at about 25 miles an hour, before they enter into a broad funnel. The Great Adventure theme park adjacent to Hurricane Harbor has been beset by more than a dozen incidents this summer, some of them involving in injuries, while a partial derailment of a car on El Toro shut down the steep wooden roller coaster on June 29.
  7. Fun fact: The highest ridership the park ever achieved with Ka was during the the 2013 season with only one station and three trains. El Toro Ryan (who worked the ride) talks about it extensively in his excellent Problematic Coaster video about Ka. I recommend checking out the entire video (and all his other vids) but skip to around 17:40 for the goods about the station/capacity.
  8. Runaway Tram on Saturday night in the rain with my (8 yr old) nephew. It's his favorite ride at the moment.
  9. Don't quote me on this, but I have heard from a very reliable source who works at the park that it *should* be open within the next two weeks.
  10. Word is a guest was trying to climb onto the roof of the Zumanjaro station to retrieve a lost loose article (I don't know how its possible that no one noticed her) and she fell off, injuring herself. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
  11. Dang, what will they do without your support?
  12. not mine butttt
  13. Nah, this is not at all one-sided. They've been trading barbs for a while now and I'm absolutely here for it. https://brobible.com/culture/article/universal-orlando-seaworld-twitter-feud-fireball/ https://attractionsmagazine.com/seaworld-vs-halloween-horror-nights-theme-park-accounts-trade-snarky-tweets/ https://www.coaster101.com/2021/07/09/changing-tides-inside-seaworlds-social-media-with-josh-greenberg-director-of-social-media-digital-consumer-engagement/
  14. No update on the guests condition but some more detailed info about what caused the incident. https://fox8.com/news/watch-live-officials-give-update-after-woman-hurt-by-flying-metal-at-cedar-point/
  15. Gwazi has officially been pushed to March 2022. https://www.facebook.com/BuschGardensTampaBay
  16. Ice Breaker has officially been pushed to February 2022. lol https://www.facebook.com/seaworldorlando/
  17. Great White (Moreys) at night in a downpour a few weekends back. One of the best rides I've ever had on it.
  18. Why is everyone discussing CP potentially changing of the launch on Dragster when that had nothing to do with something coming off the train when it hit the brake run?
  19. Local parks? Pretty much never. Parks I'm traveling to and only have a day or two at? Abso-f*ckin-lutely.
  20. Did you really sign up just to come on here and trash Intamin or did you just conveniently forget about how an RMC Raptor also had a wheel fly off and towards guests literally weeks ago? Or any number of recent incidents involving a whole slew of manufacturers?
