Yes, and has been like this for me for a while, whether I'm logged in on mobile, at home (desktop) or work (also desktop). -

None of the articles mention it, but word is he intentionally slipped out so he could do pull ups but then couldn't pull himself back up into the gondola. https://kutv.com/news/local/man-sent-to-hospital-after-falling-off-lagoon-sky-ride FARMINGTON, Utah (KUTV) — A man fell off the Sky Ride at Lagoon early Saturday evening and an emergency medical crew took him to a hospital, but the park said it has "no reason to believe there was a malfunction with the ride." A photo taken before the fall, sent to 2News by Victoria Taylor, showed the man clinging to the ride, dangling above the park. "An adult male came off the Sky Ride," said Lagoon spokesman Adam Leishman. "He was transported off the park for medical services." The man was believed to be in his early 30s. It was unclear how far the man fell, or where he landed. The ride, a chair lift, goes each way from the north to south ends of the park. The fall occurred on the north side. Lagoon officials said the Sky Ride has been safe for nearly 50 years. "The Sky Ride has been operating at Lagoon, without incident at the park, since 1974," said Leishman. "Every ride on the park undergoes intense safety inspections. This received an inspection Saturday morning. "This operates exactly like every chair lift at every ski resort here in Utah," he said, adding Lagoon receives a permit to operate the Sky Ride under an entity known as the Utah Ropeway Passenger Safety Committee. A website from the Utah Department of Transportation said the panel "ensures the safety of passengers using aerial tramways, surface lifts and tows." Leishman, who has been at Lagoon for 30 years, said he could not recall another time in his tenure when someone has fallen off a ride. "Not in my time here, no, fortunately no," Leishman replied. "We're deeply concerned for the individual and his family. We're also deeply concerned for the employees and guests who were impacted by this event." The Farmington Police Department was conducting an investigation of the incident. As of Saturday night, the man's name and his condition had not been released. -

^ Yes, really. You just got some mid-week luck, I guess. Three weeks ago my sister started looking for a room - any room - for last Thursday-Sunday and literally the only thing she could find for a family of four that wasn't double/triple the normal going rate was a shitty cabin w/o a bathroom 15 minutes off the island on Route 9. Also, I don't think I saw one single vacancy sign when we were out and about on Saturday. -

The last two weeks of July into the first two weeks of August are historically the most crowded four weeks of the entire summer season in Wildwood. And this year, I know both through work (real estate, we're licensed in NJ) and through my mother (who worked for North Wildwood Fire Dept and maintains close friendships with both realtors and city employees), practically every potential hotel/house/condo/room available to rent on the island has been booked solid for these four weeks since early spring. I'm honestly not shocked its that kind of busy on a Wednesday night, we're in the peak of peak season this week. I'll be down every weekend for the foreseeable future, yay. -

I hope that for 2022, SFA is getting treatment for their concerning case of shaky leg syndrome. That's really all we can ask for. -

Yep you're right. The Orion definitely does not suck as much as your weird and endless attempts at haikus. The one almost rhymes, but not quite. But under no circumstances should you let that stop you. -

Why would a park thats in the business to make money be attempting to keep the crowd down a bit? God, CF sucks so hard anymore. -

I was down Saturday and everything noteworthy seemed to be running but they are clearly short staffed with minimal crews on most rides and a few of the kiddie/family rides closed. Pirates of WW and Ghost Ship will not operate at all this season. Also, the flume has been closed all season so far but I'm told its been cleared by the state to operate and its just a staffing issue at this point since it takes 6+ people to staff it. They seemed to be training people on Saturday as people were in logs but the "closed" sign was still up, though the chain was lowered. I was not able to ride as I was with my nephew who wasn't into it. Otherwise, all the coasters, IT, Atmosfear, the upcharges (Slingshot, Skyscraper, Screaming Swing, etc), Giant Wheel, waveswinger, etc were all running. Kong was up but then it went down.
