  1. Saw the touring production of Book of Mormon in Orlando yesterday and it was just absolutely fantastic. I saw it on Broadway in February and the touring production still blew me away. This cast was seriously amazing. There is just so much that I love about this show I don't know where to start but find a way to see it if you have a chance! So so so much fun!
  2. Yeah, I like Seattle in the NFC if they keep home field, the AFC I'm still really not sure of. Obviously everyone thinks Denver is the favorite, and they probably are, but I don't like the combo of no run game, marginal defense, and outdoors in January. I'm not sure who can beat them maybe Cincinnati, maybe Kansas City, maybe Indy. Don't sleep on New England either, their offense will continue to improve and as long as Brady is on the field they're gonna compete. I'll make my mid season Superbowl prediction Indy vs Seattle.
  3. Looks like you guys had an awesome day, congrats on the anniversary! I miss Epcot, Illuminations is one of my favorite things in the world.
  4. Wit hold Arrow suspended coasters biting the dust left an right these days hopefully this re-themeing means this one will be sticking around for a while. It is a pretty decent little ride for whatever it is worth, should look great next to Banshee. This this section of the park has a fairly thorough "Halloweenish" theme maybe they'll leave a haunt open year round....
  5. Thank god this writer never saw BOM or else the show would have never made it out of dress rehearsals!
  6. ^Thanks, I'm checking out the Orlando event next weekend and this show is usually one of the highlights of my trip. This whole situation is really bizarre, people are way too sensitive. Heaven forbid there are adult jokes at an adult themed Halloween event.
  7. This may be a dumb question but I haven't seen it addressed anywhere in this thread (or the Orlando one), but did they cancel the Bill and Ted show for the remainder of the season in Orlando as well or just Hollywood?
  8. I had a chance to checkout Netherworld in Atlanta last weekend and was pretty impressed with it. It wasn't overly scary but the sets were freaking amazing, easily the best I've ever seen outside of HHN, and the layout was long and a lot of fun. Man the had some gigantic set pieces and figures in that thing, and I loved all of the huge animatronics. There were 2 haunts, both were pretty good and fairly similar, and I'd check it out again.
  9. Those are awesome! I love the Death Star pumpkin, that's great! I've never really tried the whole carving technique where you don't actually go all the through, maybe I will give it a shot this year.
  10. For whatever it's worth I still have a hard time betting on Peyton Manning in the post season, they're clearly one of the favorites in the AFC but playing outside in Denver in January is a lot different than it is in September.
  11. I don't know if Id go so far as to say they're 6-7 th best team in the league but I will agree with you that they might be a tad overrated. I'm interested to see how they play defensively from here on out with Vonn Miller back in the lineup. I did pick Indy to win last night and with 5 games left this season against the Chargers, Chiefs, and Patriots I can see Denver 2-3 of those games. I didn't realize that Indy has wins against Seattle, San Fran, and Denver this far season, it's a shame that Wayne is done for the year because that team might be able to make a deep run (as much as I hate to admit it, screw you Indy!).
  12. The PSringfield section does look great, I"m looking forward to finally checking it out at the end of the month.
  13. ^I've always thought it would be really cool to see the Great movie ride transformed into some sort of haunt attraction, seems like you could easily turn some of thoses room into creepy scenes, maybe even let part of the attraction be a walk through haunt? (the munchkin land scene has all sorts of terrifying potential.....)
  14. I decorated my Big Red inflatable last year for Halloween, not sure what I'm gonna do with him this year but I'll come up with something if I have time, Big Red loves Halloween so I can't let him down...... Also, trick-or-treaters in mt hood need to be aware of Hitchhiking ghosts! (this is from a few years ago also, but I still like it) Beware of Hitchhiking Ghosts
  15. Wow, that really does look intense! I get why they don't do more of an adult themed event at their American Parks but this looks awesome!
  16. You can wear anything you want to an NFL game these days including jerseys of teams that aren't even playing (I'll still make fun of you, but people still do it). But wearing a Bucs jersey anywhere in Raymond James, maybe except for the visitors teams family section which I doubt you have tickets in anyways, should be fine. Have fun!
  17. I wonder if they've ever considered using a phone app that turns your screen into an interactive color flasher thingy that interacts with their shows? Random dork note, Kentucky basketball using using one if these apps ( the app is called Wham City Lights) for their midnight madness event tonight and have asked everyone in attendance to download the app. I don't know how it all works but I'm pretty sure it will look pretty amazing in Rupp, would probably look really cool at and number of Disney night shows.
  18. I know this one is from Zamperla, but I can't recall if any of Gerstlauers besides Typhoon are on portable bases. I really don't pay attention to things like that. I think that some of their more compact models like Iron Shark (Shark! Shark!) and the Spongebob ride at mall of America are on portable bases, but then again that could be due to the nature of those installation. It seems like the layout of Thunderbolt is much too large to have it designed on a portable base. Then again it is kind of a long skinny plot of land, the kind that probably exists at just about every fair ground in the world....... (the more I think about it, if this were a portable model it would kind of explain why the layout is so tight and funky. Seems like there is plenty of space there to build a "full size" ride with a unique layout if they really wanted to)
  19. ^Thanks Chuck, about what I was thinking. This event kind of slipped under my radar but looks pretty nice. Any excuse to ride the Raven in the dark is good enough for me!
  20. So were the mazes more geared towards families and kids? Looks like great event, it's good to see Holiday World getting into the Halloween game and I can't wait to see how this thing evolves in the future.
  21. This. I'll never wait for a kiddie credit unless it's unique. I'd much rather spend time waiting for major attractions especially if it's a new park for me.
  22. Haha I call Orlando Planet Orlando now too! I saw Book of Mormon in New York earlier this year and Ive tickets for Orlando again the first weekend in November, can't wait! Your review was spot on, I also think it's a great musical for "non-musical" fans. I kind of feel like a adult version of a Disney musical movie, very easy to get wrapped up in and totally enjoy. I can't wait to see it again!
  23. I haven't been on the new Star Tours but I was under the impression that your opinion was kind of the consensus. I don't recall reading any sort of praise for the new version other than in this Hong Kong Iron Man thread! I'm sure this will a cool attraction but, yeah the Star Tours ride system doesn't do anything for me either.
