Crazy weekend in college football with the Ohio State upset obviously being the star of the show. I'm really looking forward to the Auburn vs FSU game, should be a great matchup. It's kind of funny to me that two schools located less than 200 miles apart have to fly 2,000 miles across the country to play each other. I bet the line opens with FSU as a 3.5 to 4 point favorite, but I like Auburn. Florida State is a great team but I really think that playing huge games week in and week out like Auburn does in the SEC really prepares you for games like this. The one thing FSU really hasn't seen all year is any kind of adversity so it will be interesting to see how they respond when they play someone who can actually punch back (no offense ACC). We'll see what happens after the selection show tonight but it looks like my Toppers might get left out in the cold again. We are at 8-4 but 3rd in a conference with only 2 automatic bids. Someone else from a bigger conference will have to decline a bid or get passed over entirely for us to compete in the post season. It sucks but that's what happens when you play in the Sunbelt. We'll be in Conference USA next year so hopefully that will mean a better chance at an automatic bid on a regular basis.

So Seattle might be pretty good at this football thing, I mean even with the injuries and suspensions they do that to New Orleans. If/when they get home field advantage it's hard to see anyone beating them in Seattle. They might be favored by a TD in every game at home. The AFC still continues to looks pretty open, Denver is still the clear favorite but I'm not sold on them and wouldn't be surprised if someone get hot (Baltimore, New England) and knocked them off at home just like last year. -
^^I mean a loss at LSU isn't exactly like losing at home to a nobody. If Ohio State takes care of business next week they will be in regardless, but if they lose then I think the 1 loss SEC champ gets in over them. I haven't watched a ton of Ohio State football this year but I've watched enough to know that they can score on anyone but their defense is not very good. I think they'll compete against FSU (or Bama or Auburn) but they won't be favored. And no offense, but Ohio State fans kind of bring it on themselves, and I get it, I'm a Kentucky basketball fan! No matter how many great fans you might have they're are enough obnoxious idiots to ruin it for the good ones! I don't see OSU losing to Michigan State but then again they gave up 30 points to an Illinois team that hasn't won a conference game in 2 years (in a crappy conference). Should be a good game, FSU vs Duke on the other hand... ugh.

Yeah it's hard to give the Heisman to a guy whose team has 3 losses but Manziel has been ballin this year, except for that LSU game. He's great but his defense is terrible. I't's funny that in two years LSU has been pretty much the only team to really slow him down, at all. Kind of surprising no one else has been able to mimic their game plan, but then again not everyone has LSU's talent. Note to self, for the future never bet against LSU at home, ever. The Auburn vs Alabama game next weekend is going to be a gigantic match up, there's nothing like a rivalry game with national title implications. And thanks a lot USC, nice win, but how about ya don't give up 22 fourth quarter points next time. That back door cover by Colorado really screwed me over!

I think that play had to have been an interference or at least a holding call, I mean Keuchley was face guarding Gronk with his arms around the guy keep Gronk from extending his arms, if that aint holding I don't know what is! I head a lot of arguments that said the pass was uncatchable, but with Gronk nothing is catchable, he would have made a play at the ball. Being an official isn't an easy job but I've always thought that if I were in that role and there was a controversial call that could potentially end the game that isn't entirely clear which call is correct, my tendency would be, if possible, to extend the game so both teams have a second opportunity to win. In this case, whether it's a PI or a defensive holding, there would have been 1 un-timed down to win the football game from a reasonable position on the field. Seems like it happens in basketball a lot as well, late in the game and a guy is trying to get to the basket to draw a foul and a defender is trying to draw a charge, sometimes those calls are so questionable that there almost is no right answer. If it were me, and there isn't a clear correct call, I'd look at the game situation and make a decision that allows competitive play to continue for an additional possession. -
Legoland Florida Discussion Thread

Trains look great, but the height requirement is a little disappointing. I was hoping to take my daughter on this coaster next year but might have to wait another year now, oh well, I guess that just gives her something to look forward to the next trip! The hotel is a pretty cool addition that I'm excited about. I haven't been to Legoland yet but I've been looking forward to taking my daughter (when she's old/tall enough) ever since it opened. As a semi local Floridian Legoland isn't far away but it isn't exactly an easy day trip from here with small children either. The hotel should make this a nice little "long weekend" destination for us at some point in the future! -
I'm excited to hear where this Polercoaster thing will end up, I can't see it really working that well in most of the parks in Florida but I mean I can't help but think how awesome of an addition that thing would be for a place like the Universal Citywalk..... And as much action as they've had on that property here lately I wouldn't be surprised at all if they were some how involved....

^Haha, I was wondering when we were going to hear from the forums's favorite Trojan alum on that victory. So what does this do for USC's bowl picture? Are they going to play for the Pac-12 title? That would be something if they fire Kiffin after week 3 and still find a way to play in the Rose Bowl. There is an awful lot of good football left to be played in these last 3 weeks of the season. Texas A&M plays LSU and Missouri back to back to end their season. I have a feeling that if A&M takes care of business against LSU then the winner of that A&M Missouri game will be the second SEC team in the BCS (unless Missouri upsets Bama). And Bama will have to play back to back games against top 10 teams at Auburn and then Missouri for the SEC title if they get past Auburn. That schedule at the beginning of the season didn't look so tough, but a lot can change in 12 weeks! Baylor plays Oklahoma State, TCU, and Texas to end their season, not sure what they do in the rankings if they win those 3 games decisively. Will they jump Ohio State? Quite possibly. While Florida State has been killing everyone don't look past Florida to pull a huge upset in the Swamp. I think both of these teams are different animals than they were a year ago, but a win to spoil FSU's national title dreams the last week of the season would be a silver lining in Florida's otherwise dreadful season. I don't think it will happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did.

Adventuredome Discussion Thread

That is a wicked looking drop thingy, shoudl be a fun ride. I've never been to Adventuredome but the layout of this thing looks a bit more sprawling than I was expecting, relative to other El Loco Models. I've got a feeling we're going to start seeing an awful lot of these El Loco coasters in the near future. Seems like the compact design and general "uniqueness" would be a great fit for a lot of parks. -
Enjoy it while you can Sparty, once March rolls around I got a feeling my Wildcats are going to be tough to be beat! I've always thought your coach, Dantonio, is pretty underrated in the world of college coaching and I'm surprised his name doesn't pop up more often for some of these big openings.

So in this picture the red track is the lift hill section, and the blue track is the actual "ride portion" during the decent, does anyone know if this is correct? If so, I wonder why the manufacturer chose to use the spiral track for the lift section instead of some kind of elevator? Seems like there is already infrastructure in place (or necessary at least) for elevators on the tower anyways, I would think an elevator lift would have been fairly easy to incorporate into the ride itself. Maybe someone can ask on the behind the scenes tour during TPR's Deep South Sports Complex tour of 2016 . Seems like I remember seeing an animation at one point of the actual ride and this thing looked like it really had some potential to be a good coaster! Pacing was kind of weird (given the fact that the thing is hanging off the side of the freaking tower!) but it had some wicked looking drops and air pops.

So from the looks of things I'm guessing this is going to be a fairly large body slide structure maybe with the Aqua Loop trap door thingys? I really liked Aquatica so another slide is a welcome addition. Does anyone know how tall Summit Plummit is? I'm kind of surprised it has taken a water park in Orlando this long to go after the "tallest slide" title.

Nice win for the Panthers Sunday at San Fran, it seems like I've been predicting them to have a breakout season for about 3 years now and it just never happens. Now they're riding a 5 game winning streak with New England coming to town on Monday night so we'll see if they're for real or not. The NFC playoff race has kind of taken a turn for the weird, maybe the Pathers are ripe for that second wildcard spot now that the QB situation in the NFC north is kind of in shambles. And speaking of weird, the Browns play at Cincinnati Sunday for first place in the AFC North, don't think anyone saw that coming at the midway point of the season, especially after the Richardson trade, which appears to be a huge success for Cleveland. -
^Yeah haha, I was pretty impressed with Stanford. I had watched them play a few games this year and knew they were good but they look great against Oregon. Kind of disappointing that they lost to Utah, they could have been a real title game contender. I heard that Mariota had a partially torn MCL going into the game with Stanford that Oregon never reported. Don't know what kind of difference he would have made at full speed but the whole thing does feel a bit "tainted" I guess. For what it's worth it is pretty amazing Oregon even scored 20 given that the only had the ball for about 15 minutes in that game! Bama is still really good, LSU is physical and athletic and talented and Bama still completely dominated them.

I can't help but laugh at this most recent story, yeah it is very inappropriate, but it is kind of hilarious at the same time. http://thebiglead.com/2013/11/07/richie-incognito-reportedly-harassed-woman-at-charity-golf-outing-used-golf-club-in-lewd-manner/ "The then 34-year-old volunteer told police that Incognito had been drinking, and when he was at the hole where she was working, he rubbed her privates with a golf club and knocked a pair of sunglasses off her head with it, according to the report. “After that, he proceeded to lean up against her buttocks with his private parts as if dancing, saying ‘Let it rain! Let it rain!’” the report states. “He finally finished his inappropriate behavior by emptying bottled water in her face.” Oh Richie, he's just a fun loving douche bag I guess haha . -

Yeah, this whole story is still kind of fishy to me. It is strange that all of his team mates and other veterans have come to Incognito's defense in this situation, I mean if the guy is that big of a jerk/bully/rascist/whatever you would think this would be the perfect opportunity to really villafy him, yet the opposite has happened. Even though his reputation is pretty bad with the rest of the league his teammates (other than Martin) do seem to really respect him. -
