  2. They are the attractions that used to be in the spots where Transformers: The Ride at USF and USH are now. Kings Island and Six Flags America.
  3. False. The person below me has a Cedar Fair park as a home park.
  4. Well, I've pretty much adapted to the off-season by now, but May still needs to get here, pronto. Fortunately, I'm probably going to Nickelodeon Universe in January or February, which should hold me off until May .
  5. Granted, but none of them are in the U.S. I wish more people would play Careful What You Wish For.
  6. I don't think it will significantly slow down construction. It just might not go as fast as it has over the past few weeks. Sorry about the confusion.
  7. After last night's snow, I guess it might unfortunately slow down the slide construction a bit, though the area does look a lot nicer with the snow than with dirt.
  8. Granted, but you can only go on one ride because the lines are ridiculously long. I wish it wasn't snowing right now.
  9. ...furious. Then the Mario Brothers went down to Southern California and accidentally destroyed all of the coasters at Six Flags Magic Mountain, which resulted in...
  10. The coaster I have ridden the most is Renegade at Valleyfair (86 laps), followed by Wild Thing at the same park (67 laps). Number three would be Kraken at SeaWorld Orlando (about 50 laps, not completely sure).
  11. Viper - Lightwater Valley Arrow Wild Mouse
  12. Granted, but not for 100 years. I wish I could have gone to Magic Mountain when I was in SoCal in 2013.
  13. Steel Dragon 2000
  14. Wild Thing
  15. 6.5/10 - Low credit count, but I guess it could be worse. Looks nice though.
  16. Darien Lake. Despite the coaster being named after Darien Lake, a group of GPs got angry that Darien Lake "copied" Valleyfair, so they...
  17. Was rewatching some episodes of Insane Coaster Wars, and in the segment about Gatekeeper, the narrator said "This might just be the most intense coaster ever" . I haven't ridden Gatekeeper yet, but I highly doubt it's the most intense coaster ever.
  18. ...Dick Kinzel, who had been Valleyfair's General Manager before in the late 70s and early 80s. He took away more of the park's charm by doing things such as doubling the amount of trash cans, and...
  19. Updated Tallest steel: Wild Thing Tallest wood: Goliath (SFGAm)
  20. Viper at SFMM Would you rather live 5 minutes away from an bad home park, or live 3 hours away from a good home park.
  21. Merry Christmas, everyone! Hope you have a great day.
  22. Nice trip report of Nickelodeon Universe. I think NU a great park for being inside a mall. It's lots of fun, and I'm excited to see what they'll do in the future. Looking forward to reading your Valleyfair trip report.
  23. For me, roller coasters and parks are about thrills and having fun. Similar to what cal1br3etto said on the first page, I'm a coaster enthusiast first and a park enthusiast second. I can enjoy the charm and theming of a park, but roller coasters are my main draw. I enjoy a variety of coasters, but my favorites are always the intense ones that push the limit. When I go on a ride/to a park, I always try to find the good in it, even if it's a coaster/park that's generally considered bad by most enthusiasts. For example, on rough coasters, usually there are still a few aspects of that ride that I enjoyed, and even though most people consider Six Flags parks to be too YOLO-ish, I find myself liking Six Flags' atmosphere to an extent. I am more critical of a ride than your average park-goer, but I try to not take it seriously to the point that it gets in the way of having fun, the main point of this hobby. I think Wes put it best:
