  1. Kennywood just posted this on their Facebook page. Seems like it's hinting at an upcoming announcement.
  2. From Dave Frazier's Twitter, land clearing has begun for Flying Eagles.
  3. New PointCast Minute on the Raptor and Dragster repainting.
  4. Construction on the new amphitheater has begun. Photo from VF's Facebook.
  5. Noticed in the recent Cedar Fair 3rd Quarter Conference Call that California's Great America will likely be adding a Christmas event in 2016. Cedar Fair's (FUN) CEO Matt Ouimet on Q3 2015 Results - Earnings Call Transcript $FUN http://www.seekingalpha.com/article/3655906
  6. Valleyfair 1) Nine years going on ten with no new roller coasters. 2) Too many trim brakes on the existing coasters. 3) Xtreme Swing is the only awesome flat ride in the park.
  7. Goliath - Six Flags Great America
  8. False. The person below me has ridden an RMC coaster.
  9. Granted, Darien Lake announces they're receiving the relocated Time Warp from CW. I wish for more time to sleep.
  10. -Gatekeeper: Remove the midcourse brake run and make the ride's ending a little more interesting. -Diamondback: Make the helix before the splashdown tighter and more forceful. -Wild Thing: Redesign the turnaround to be more eventful, and turn off the mid-course brakes. -Superman: Ultimate Flight (B&M flyer): Redesign the rest of the layout to be more forceful. -American Eagle: RMC it, Twisted Colossus style. -Mean Streak: Burn it down.
  11. I'm currently majoring in meteorology.
  12. ...you have never seen a show at a theme park because you're too busy riding rides. (I must admit I have seen a few shows at parks, but only because the people I was with wanted to see them.)
  13. I would consider getting the Gold or Platinum Flash Pass because the Regular Flash Pass doesn't really buy you any more time (you wait the same amount of time as the regular line, just not in the actual line). The boarding passes (they're free) are used at some of the most popular rides to curb line jumping. They distribute them to everyone entering the regular line. The passes have numbers on them which must be redeemed in numerical order to ride.
  14. 1. Millennium Force (10/10) 2. Maverick (10/10) 3. Top Thrill Dragster (9.5/10) 4. Magnum XL-200 (9/10) 5. Raptor (8.5/10) 6. Rougarou (8/10) 7. Blue Streak (7.5/10) 8. Gatekeeper (7.5/10) 9. Gemini (7/10) 10. Wicked Twister (6/10) 11. Corkscrew (5/10) 12. Cedar Creek Mine Ride (4.5/10) 13. Mean Streak (4/10) 14. Iron Dragon (3.5/10)
  15. I don't "hate" this ride, but Flight of Fear at KI was sort of a letdown for me. One of the weaker coaster launches out there, has pretty jerky transitions, mostly forceless, and the mid-course brakes nearly bring the train to a complete stop. I do particularly like the final corkscrew before the final brakes though.
  16. Alabama Arizona Arkansas (driven through) California Colorado Florida Georgia Illinois Indiana Iowa Kentucky Louisiana (driven through) Maryland Minnesota (home state) Mississippi (driven through) Missouri Nebraska (driven through) Nevada (driven through) New York (airport only) North Carolina Ohio South Carolina Tennessee Utah (driven through) Virginia Washington D.C. Wisconsin 26/50, not too bad.
  17. Looks like Shredder's Mutant Masher (the new Chance Revolution) is officially opening today! http://nickelodeonuniverse.com/shredders-mutant-masher-grand-opening/
  18. Cedar Fair had its 3rd Quarter Conference Call yesterday, and I noticed that Valleyfair was mentioned a few times. It appears that the Cedar Fair executives still think Valleyfair has good potential for growth as they did two years ago, which is nice. 19. The last few turns before the station were a little rough the last time I rode Renegade (October 11th). Hopefully they'll retrack those spots over the offseason. I personally think Enterprise looks fine the way it is. Is there something you guys are seeing on it that I'm not?
  20. Looks like Six Flags Great America might be considering adding Holiday in the Park in the future. It sounds like it would be hard to pull off because of Chicagoland's harsh winters, but if they want to try it, I don't see anything else stopping them. http://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/lake-county-news-sun/news/ct-lns-great-america-fright-fest-st-0925-20150924-story.html
  21. According to this press release from Cedar Fair earlier today, it looks like Dorney Park will officially be getting no new attractions in 2016. Sorry guys. http://ir.cedarfair.com/newsroom/press-releases/news-release-details/2015/Thrills-Will-Come-In-All-Sizes-With-Cedar-Fairs-Most-Innovative-Lineup-Of-New-Rides-And-Attractions-In-2016/default.aspx
  22. Invertigo at Kings Island. Nothing else I've ridden comes to being as rough as this ride. They might as well rename it to Car Wreck Simulator.
