I’m planning on taking a trip out to the Point during the second week of June. Anyone have any recommendations for cheap hotels/motels close to the park? Being a poor college student, I’d prefer not spend more than $60-70 per night on a room if possible.

Going to Las Vegas for a few days starting late next week, planning on going to the Adventuredome, the Stratosphere, and the NYNY Coaster (might regret that one ).

Granted, you receive so much snow that you can’t get out of your house. I wish for my Las Vegas trip to come faster.

Not completely Adventuredome related, but does anyone know why Desperado at Buffalo Bill's is listed as "closed until further notice" on their website? I'm going to Las Vegas in a few weeks and would like to take a ride on Desperado if I can get the chance.

Granted, but it has so much downtime that it only opens a few times a season. I wish for my Las Vegas trip in March to come faster.

^ Based on what I've seen, it looks more like it will likely be mainly motion simulator-style rides rather than roller coasters and flat rides, but either way, I hope all goes well for them since it would be great to have another theme park option in Minnesota. On another note, I am officially returning to Valleyfair this year for my third season as a ride operator. Excited for the upcoming season to get started.

Well, the Vikings are out, so VF now has to rename a ride for opening weekend. I wonder which ride it’ll be. Steel Eagles? Wild Eagles? Xtreme Eagles?

Change in plans, I’ll be going to Las Vegas instead of Florida in March. I’d put Adventuredome, Stratosphere, and Big Apple Coaster as definitely, and Desperado as probably.
