The flags/markers are only visible while riding Excalibur so can't take any pictures.

Interesting that this comes out right around the time that there are flags/markers on some Excalibur supports. Not going to make any predictions yet but an Excalibur removal this season is looking more likely now.

Rode North Star for the first time today, fun ride! Great views of the park and local area, lots of wind in your face, and I think it's better than the Windseekers. Overall a good addition to Valleyfair. Also, while riding Excalibur, I noticed some orange and pink flags/markers on a few of the supports. Also worth noting that pretty much every ride in the park has a new automatic spiel except for Excalibur. Not saying this is its last year, but I guess it's a possibility. Edit: My bad, Excalibur does have an auto-spiel, they just didn't use it until the afternoon.

Granted, but it will cost triple the price it usually is elsewhere. I wish my bowling average was higher.

I was at the park this morning to drop off paperwork and noticed that most of the ticket booths at the front gate have been replaced with permanent airport-style metal detectors.

It seems like a lot of folks have given up on a new coaster at Valleyfair but at the rate this park is going, I could see one coming sometime in the next 3 to 5 years.

Parents that try to get their kids that are too short onto rides by lying. While ride opping, I've had countless numbers of parents tell me "But they've been on every other 48 inch ride!" Yeah, no.

Yesterday. When was the last time you mowed the lawn?

^ Could be completely wrong but I'm going to guess a Soak City expansion for 2018. If the new parking lot is approved and Excalibur is removed, I could expect new attraction or two in that area. If not, perhaps we might see a slide complex to replace Looping Starship. Would like to see something like a ProSlide Tornado or a mat racer. If anything happens to Starship, it'll most likely get scrapped and not relocated within the park since I've heard it's a maintenance headache.

I drove by the park on Friday the 14th and it looked like it hadn't been completed but that may have changed since then. A little late in posting this but it looks like North Star has completed a full test cycle. Looking good. [fbvideonew] [/fbvideonew]
