  1. This probably isn't a popular opinion, but for some reason, I've always liked the look of B&M trains. I really don't know why. I also like Millennium Flyers because they're very sleek and comfortable. As for least favorite trains, probably Morgan Hyper trains. There's really nothing wrong with them ride-wise, but they're very large and bulky.
  2. ^ I think it is quite possible that Valleyfair and Michigan's Adventure could get a coaster in the same year. MiA really needs a new roller coaster, so I don't see why 2016 would be an unlikely year for one. By the way, why do you say that Screamscape is not reliable? They've been right about plenty of things.
  3. Since becoming a coaster enthusiast, my longest hiatus was Valleyfair's last offseason, 202 days (10/27/13 to 5/17/14). I should really take a trip to Nickelodeon Universe this winter to help with the offseason depression .
  4. I actually like this idea, but paying $20 to skip the line once seems a bit excessive. I could see myself using it if it was $10 or $12, but if you're willing to pay $20 to skip the line for Raging Bull just once, you might as well just spend more money and buy a Flash Pass and get more value for your dollar.
  5. Bump. I want to play, but I have no idea what the coaster above is .
  6. ...Millennium Force, which was only open for three days it before it closed because...
  7. Mediocre
  8. Back when I was in 8th grade, my band teacher told us how one time she got stuck at the top of the lift hill for hours on Goliath at Six Flags over Georgia, and she said that a ride op climbed up a rope to the top and told them that they may have to evacuate the ride, and the only way to get down would be to climb down the "rope". Of course, I was not an enthusiast at the time, so I went along with it, but now that I'm an enthusiast, I realized that she was making the "rope" stuff up. Seriously, why would you use a rope to climb down from that height? The GP can come up with the craziest things...
  9. False. The person below has ridden an RMC coaster.
  10. Renegade probably doesn't have most airtime out of all the GCI woodies, but the airtime it does have it really good, especially when you sit it the last row . There are a few times where Renegade's first airtime hill caused some slight discomfort in my thighs. I have also ridden Ozark Wildcat, and I don't remember that much about it since it was a long time ago, but based on the POV, it looks like it has some solid airtime moments. Speaking of Ozark Wildcat, another park really ought to buy that coaster and relocate it because letting a good GCI woodie sit dormant is sinful.
  11. ^ Sure, I love seeing VF pictures. You could post them on this thread. garyman6 said that construction on the waterpark expansion is starting this week, so it would be nice to see pictures of it.
  12. Granted, but the mantis get killed on the ride and PETA sues you. I wish the Upper Midwest had more amusement parks.
  13. ...you get funny looks for taking pictures of certain things on a coaster (lift hill chain, brakes, etc.) ...you know the names of ride ops on certain rides at your local park and they know you.
  14. ^ Oh, okay. I haven't been in the Chickie's and Pete's building in for quite a while, so I forgot there was one in there. Disregard my previous post then.
  15. On the topic of the restroom by Mad Mouse getting removed, I think that they ought to rebuild it somewhere else in that general vicinity because, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that's the closest restroom to the back of the park. The next closest one is the one near Hydroblaster Hill, which is a long walk just to use the restroom if you're coming from the far back of the park. I probably sound silly thinking this hard about restrooms, but I guess it's something to consider. Maybe they could move Wheel of Fortune over to the old Tilter spot and rebuild the restroom there, but that probably won't happen.
  16. Granted, but the coaster turns into actual fighting Autobots and Decepticons. I wish that amusement parks could stay open during Winter with the coasters operating.
  17. Thank you for all the great info. Also, is there anything in Cedar Point's waterpark that's worth checking out?
  18. Next Summer, I'm making my first ever trip to the Point. I know it's still pretty early, but I'm starting to plan my trips for next year. I have a few questions. 1) I'm probably going in mid-July for 2-3 weekdays. How bad will lines and crowds be? Would it be worth buying Fast Lane or Fast Lane Plus one of those days? 2) In what order should I ride the coasters? I plan on riding Dragster first since that looks the most breakdown-prone, but after that, how should I go? 3) What flat rides are worth checking out? 4) Where are the best places to sit on the top coasters? 5) Mean Streak: Is there a seat where I can get a decent ride, or should I skip it altogether? 6) Which on-site hotels have the best deals? Any input is appreciated.
  19. Granted, he demolishes Darien Lake so he can build a mansion there. I wish it wasn't cold outside.
  20. I usually see a few enthusiasts every time I'm at the park (I assume they're enthusiasts since they're wearing coaster/theme park shirts), but I don't know if they're anyone that normally posts on this thread. I think I've probably seen valleyfairfanatic at the park, but I'm not sure about everyone else.
  21. I agree. The Panic Falls Speed Slides are without a doubt the roughest rides in the entire park. They're definitely rougher than any rough moments on Excalibur. Never had my swimsuit torn up on it, but it doesn't change the fact that those slides are awful. Thankfully, with the new speed slides coming, I won't have a need to ride the old ones ever again.
  22. Granted, but it's rougher than a Vekoma. I wish that Cedar Fair would start giving it's smaller parks some attention.
  23. Thanks for sharing the information from GM Frazier, it was fun to hit the park and meet you on Saturday. That is great news to hear about them removing the games island, patio and bathrooms for the waterpark expansion. If they put pavers in walking path there that will just look great. Also good news to hear that this probably isn't the only expansion for the waterpark over the next few years, happy they chose the slide package they did because it looks better than a Snake Pit like other CF parks. With this additional information I am much more appreciative of the expansion, especially with how they will redesign that walking path between the water park and Mad Mouse. Interesting how GM Dave says "plans have changed for 2016". Hopefully for the better compared to what plans they already had in place. And thanks to the others posting their Haunt experiences, it will help me plan when I go. So hopefully the main reason that they're taking out the bathrooms next to Mad Mouse is so they can help visitor traffic flow better in that area. On busy Saturdays during Summer, it can be a hassle getting around in that area. Also, if they're taking out the game booth there to make room for the slide tower, then that tower will probably be bigger than I was originally thinking.
  24. If The Great Escape was to get "flagged", it might help draw in more people to the park because people seem to go crazy about the words "Six Flags". However, "flagging" the park might set up visitors for disappointment because visitors to a Six Flags park usually expect big roller coasters and thrill rides, and TGE looks pretty mediocre in both those departments.
