Great Adventure on Friday hopefully. -
Fright Fest Preview for Season Passholders was awesome last night. Basically no lines at all the entire night. It's too bad it probably won't be like that the rest of the season except for the first few Friday nights if you get there at opening. The only bad thing was the park closed at 10, when it was supposed to be 11.

Six Flags Themed Areas: Does anyone care?

I agree and don't like having to watch The Dark Knight pre-show every time I go to the coaster. It turns what would be a walk on some days into a close to 15 minute wait by the time you wait for the pre-show doors to open, and then to have everyone walk in the room and watch the movie and walk into the station. On a season pass night a few years ago, the worker at the pre-show room said he was going to wait for more people to show up before starting the movie. I got out of line. I like the ride but I rarely ride it more than once a trip because it isn't worth the time for me to stand around waiting for and watching the pre-show unless I can get a re-ride if no one is waiting in the station and even that isn't always allowed (a few times I have been told I am not allowed to re-ride even with no one waiting). -

Bizarro at Great Adventure 3 1/2 hours ago. -
I guess El Toro running 1 train is why it had such a long line today. When I was riding Rolling Thunder, I saw the line was into the 2nd set of switchbacks and the park wasn't that crowded today. I find the left side of Rolling Thunder smoother but unfortunately since Flashpass is now set up for to merge with the right side, if they only run 1 side it's the right side that is running.

That was one of the worst losses of the season. Why wasn't Chipper Jones walked with 1st base empty? Papelbon's comments after the game were annoying too. The loss yesterday also hurt a lot, because of the bad call and those 2 games are probably the difference between any chance of the Phillies getting a wildcard spot. I know it was still unlikely but if both of those games had been won they would be on a 7 game winning streak and only 6 games back. I'd really like to see Papelbon traded and Ryan Madson back.

Nitro on Friday night -
^^I agree Bizarro's operations, on Friday night the line was barely out of the station but I still skipped it because I thought it would still be a 20 minute wait (I don't mind a 20 minute wait if the line keeps moving). I wonder if it was the same 2 girls checking restraints that I saw last week. They also stopped to talk about non park stuff in the middle of checking restraints while the trains were double stacking. They might as well save the costs and run 2 trains instead of 3 since they always double stack. I also agree about Kingda Ka's queue and the Golden Kingdom being dark. With the misting fans at night I couldn't even see how long the line was until I got to the end of the line.

Bizarro at Great Adventure on Tuesday -
I can tell you with 100 percent certainty, their 2 year plan involves attractions that the entire family can enjoy (which is exactly what the park needs)... 10 year plan? C'mon, it's six flags. I'm glad to hear that. I still remember in 2009 my sister and I were stopped outside the main gates to take a survey and asked if we thought the park should focus on kiddie rides or thrill rides. We said neither and that we wanted more family rides. The survey person said that wasn't an option. The additions this year were great with some much needed family rides (the bumper cars had almost a full queue yesterday), and I can't wait to see what is going to be next.

I have only ridden Green Lantern and it's my 4th favorite coaster in the park so I wouldn't mind seeing more built. Last year after my first ride, my legs hurt but now that doesn't happen anymore and I try to ride it at least twice per trip to Great Adventure (the single rider line helps with that)
-
And look what it was replaced with. An Invertigo that seems to be getting stuck with riders on the lift on an almost weekly basis. It's too bad that the parachutes are leaving. I have never been to SFOT but I really like the parachutes at Great Adventure since it is such a unique ride. I hope that one won't be removed next.

When I go to the park around 2:30 the train was in the same spot in the picture on. Around an hour later after I rode Steel Force I saw the train had moved to the bottom of the 2nd lift (most of the train was on the lift). They got the train back to the station while I was in WWK and then when I left around 6:15, they were testing the ride. I don't think it will be bad on a Wednesday even with that promo. Today the park was empty both the ride side and even WWK had short lines (I just over 2 hours I got 18 slides, rode Thunder Canyon and White Water Landing) and it was perfect weather for a trip to a park with it being in the low 80's and now rain so I thought there would be more people there.

I saw The Offspring at the House of Blues in Atlantic City Thursday night. It was the first concert I saw there and I really liked the venue. There aren't a lot of seats so no one was really far back and I liked how if you were 21 or older you could get a wristband to leave the House of Blues and walk around the casino rather than wait an hour for the concert to start. The Offspring put on a great concert, even though they had a new album released this year they played almost all older songs which I liked.

Amazing pictures, it's hard to believe they are from 52 years ago with the image quality so great.
