That was one of the worst losses of the season. Why wasn't Chipper Jones walked with 1st base empty? Papelbon's comments after the game were annoying too. The loss yesterday also hurt a lot, because of the bad call and those 2 games are probably the difference between any chance of the Phillies getting a wildcard spot. I know it was still unlikely but if both of those games had been won they would be on a 7 game winning streak and only 6 games back. I'd really like to see Papelbon traded and Ryan Madson back.

Nitro on Friday night -
^^I agree Bizarro's operations, on Friday night the line was barely out of the station but I still skipped it because I thought it would still be a 20 minute wait (I don't mind a 20 minute wait if the line keeps moving). I wonder if it was the same 2 girls checking restraints that I saw last week. They also stopped to talk about non park stuff in the middle of checking restraints while the trains were double stacking. They might as well save the costs and run 2 trains instead of 3 since they always double stack. I also agree about Kingda Ka's queue and the Golden Kingdom being dark. With the misting fans at night I couldn't even see how long the line was until I got to the end of the line.

Bizarro at Great Adventure on Tuesday -
I can tell you with 100 percent certainty, their 2 year plan involves attractions that the entire family can enjoy (which is exactly what the park needs)... 10 year plan? C'mon, it's six flags. I'm glad to hear that. I still remember in 2009 my sister and I were stopped outside the main gates to take a survey and asked if we thought the park should focus on kiddie rides or thrill rides. We said neither and that we wanted more family rides. The survey person said that wasn't an option. The additions this year were great with some much needed family rides (the bumper cars had almost a full queue yesterday), and I can't wait to see what is going to be next.

I have only ridden Green Lantern and it's my 4th favorite coaster in the park so I wouldn't mind seeing more built. Last year after my first ride, my legs hurt but now that doesn't happen anymore and I try to ride it at least twice per trip to Great Adventure (the single rider line helps with that)
-
And look what it was replaced with. An Invertigo that seems to be getting stuck with riders on the lift on an almost weekly basis. It's too bad that the parachutes are leaving. I have never been to SFOT but I really like the parachutes at Great Adventure since it is such a unique ride. I hope that one won't be removed next.

When I go to the park around 2:30 the train was in the same spot in the picture on. Around an hour later after I rode Steel Force I saw the train had moved to the bottom of the 2nd lift (most of the train was on the lift). They got the train back to the station while I was in WWK and then when I left around 6:15, they were testing the ride. I don't think it will be bad on a Wednesday even with that promo. Today the park was empty both the ride side and even WWK had short lines (I just over 2 hours I got 18 slides, rode Thunder Canyon and White Water Landing) and it was perfect weather for a trip to a park with it being in the low 80's and now rain so I thought there would be more people there.

I saw The Offspring at the House of Blues in Atlantic City Thursday night. It was the first concert I saw there and I really liked the venue. There aren't a lot of seats so no one was really far back and I liked how if you were 21 or older you could get a wristband to leave the House of Blues and walk around the casino rather than wait an hour for the concert to start. The Offspring put on a great concert, even though they had a new album released this year they played almost all older songs which I liked.

Steel Force around 8 hours ago -
Yeah the park can get insanely crowded in October. I remember last year it was mentioned on at least 1 Saturday, the main lot, overflow lot, Hurricane Harbor lot were all full with cars also parking on the grass. I usually go on Friday nights which arent too crowded especially compared to Saturday or Sunday. Columbus Day is also good since many schools don't have off that day.

Living 45 minutes away from Dorney and less than an hour from Great Adventure. 7 B&M's and 4 Intamin coasters combined between the 2 parks.
-
I'd expect lines of 10 to 20 minutes while the water park is open on a weekend in August. As others said everyone goes to WWK but overall there will be a lot of people there with the main lot full, overflow lot being used and possibly full as well with cars parking on the grass if the weather is good.

Yeah no re rides is annoying. Not only is Dorney keeping the current rules but adding more rules this year. Now you have to be 8 to ride the Wild Mouse even if you meet the height requirement, Hangtime is not recommended for kids under 10 and kids under 8 can't ride the Music Express unless with an adult.
-
Exactly, I mean if the line had a long line because it was just popular and had a lot of people in line that's one thing but when the reason that the line is so slow moving because of the policies in place, it's annoying, especially when a line down the ramp from the station is over a 20 minute wait. A supervisor of the ride on a Dorney message board years ago said that on a good day, the ride gets 320 riders an hour when RCDB lists the theoretical capacity at 900 riders an hour (which is probably unrealistic but the coaster should be getting more than 320 riders an hour).
-
The Wild Mouse has a rule of only 2 teenagers or adults per car which is why they were going out half empty. Combine that rule with the added seatbelts, only 4 cars (usually) running and a confusing loading system (with the 4 gates and 2 opening at a time but only 1 gate of riders is supposed to board) and it makes it a painful wait. I usually only ride it once or twice a season. There was actually a time I waited 10 minutes just in the station and what would be a 10 minute wait for The Dark Knight at Great Adventure is easily a 30 minute wait for Dorney's mouse. As for the clientele, that is one of the reasons I don't go on weekends in the summer as I have heard from others in the past that the weekday crowds are very different from the weekend crowds and based on what you saw, it sounds like it is still the case.

Mo' Single Lines
YoshiFan replied to Lucas The Drummer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
All coasters that have 4 seats per row I also think they should start at the entrance, I dont like how Green Lanterns single rider line doesn't start until the switchbacks before the station. -
You didn't miss anything by skipping Wild Mouse and Demon Drop. Wild Mouse at Dorney is the worst wild mouse coasters I have ridden. It is very heavily braked to the point of being painful at some points of the ride when you get thrown into the lap bar and the line is very slow moving because of the way it is run. Demon Drop although has nostalgic value isn't that great either and also is very rough when you get lowered from lying down to the reverse portion of the ride.
