  1. ^ Wow. I imagined a dark-ride with dynamic projection mapping (that mean the POV moves, like in that video), a sort of a mix between Spiderman and a mapping on real scenery. That would allow to do some cool tricks, such as making really realistic ghosts. That would works, but the problem of mapping is that it allows only one point of view at a time. That means you can only have one person per vehicle..! We can get up to two people per wagon if we use active 3D glasses, but I rather don't.
  2. And that wouldn't be funny without lap-bars! (http://coastersandmore.de/previews/nefeskesen/nefeskesen.shtml)
  3. The train looks absolutely fabulous. (Disney Parks)
  4. I though I was the only one to be afraid of these things. I really enjoy waterparks, but I avoid swimming next to every underwater grid or holes, and seeing a dried wave pool is kind of scary! If you're Voldemort and I'm Harry Potter, put a horcrux into a wave pool hole, I'll never go here.
  5. The owner is Mr Righeshi (as seen on the link I provided you, no more info of him online) and the ride is still standing at Luna Park of Barcarès each summer (until August 31st). EDIT: Early this year it was at the Luna Park Avignon (84), and in June at Pierrefeu Du Var (83). So if you want to ride it, you'll have to come in France.
  6. I saw this ride last year in Barcares (Southern France). It was once a normal Double Ranger and has been modified with booster seats by Fabbri. A few caracteristics can be find here. Otherwise, if you want a mini booster with Mondial's kind of seating, here you go: This ride is build by TopFun.
  7. Thanks for editing, I wasn't sure about that. Got it.
  8. I don't see any topic about this little park, correct me if I'm wrong. I might say, it wasn't really an interesting park for us, coaster enthusiasts... until this year. It was like a playground, with one or two flats, then *bam* let's put a Zierer all over it! And it looks very great: From coasterfriends.de Don't miss the offride and POV:
  9. Worst B&M : Dragon Khan. A bit shaky, no hangtime, and start to be boring on the ending. (yay an inversion.. yay an inversion.. yay... an inversion...) Worst Intamin : Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril : Uninspired layout (took from an Pinfari looper model), crappy restraint, too forcefull loop (some like it, though) and heabanging. Worst GCI : Gwazi, although the more GCI I ride, the more I think I prefer steel and smooth coasters. I love GCI because their rides are beautiful and fast-paced, but I don't enjoy them as much as I'd have.
  10. I bet we'll see a blue train as well.
  11. So as I reported before, La Ronde is testing a virtual reality system on Goliath. It seems that SixFlags might want to develop it afterward. More infos.
  12. Aaaaand lights! Already on track with dummies..! Front. Back. Tripsdrill Facebook
  13. Something we call "airtime". Not sure if it's important, though... Of course it going to add something! Hey guys, try to think different, this drop is not misshapen, or a result from a poorly NL trackwork.. It's just something new you'll have to be accustomed visually.
  14. A breaking news from a guy working at the park (as seen here): Translation : "Hi everybody! While getting back to work on Goliath this morning, we were surprised to find someone plugging a wifi antenna on the loading platform. Some days earlier, guys from the marketing department went and put very weird glasses on a random rider and took a picture of him. So this morning, we've learnt that from mid-June, a virtual reality system, synchronized with the layout will be sold at the ride. Weird idea, but I can't wait to try it! It will completely change the feel of the ride."
  15. When a Space Shot release the air while the vehicule is at the top... According to this video, the buzzer + the sound of the launch sounds epic: Ok it's a sound effect (does it count?), but when it works, the BOOM of Space Mountain canon is really awesome. I also love the sound of the magnetic brakes on freefalls, and the Scream wooosh (Heide Park) while coming back to station: (Yeah, sound like an explosion here)
  16. I guess we have to get accustomed, but this drop is going to be far more interesting than a normal one! It's pretty like a half Megalite drop. Source
  17. No predrop B&M coaster! (As seen on Coasterworld.fr (thanks Gaga), from here, and here.) No predrop. For me it's a win, especially for that kind of drop. What do you think?
  18. I've been on an Ejection Seat, which is more powerful than a Slingshot (it uses elastics instead of springs): I absolutely loved the launch, that's something I never experienced before. You just get thrown up in the air, without being linked to a tower or a track, that's amazing. Then the first loop is very high, that's so scary. But then, the ball gets crazy and smashes you around, back and forth... I don't like it. So yeah, it's a win, but a crap at the same time. I think you should do it at least once, because the launch is something you won't find on any coaster.
  19. Thanks for the info rcrider! I found a video . Glad to hear! But doesn't the Gerstlauer shakiness come with years? How was Saw at its opening?
  20. So rcrider4, you basically said that Eurofighter lifts work like a cable lift? Meaning the car can't catch the chain anywhere?
  21. Sorry for double posting but this is worth a up. Ratatouille official layout has ben released! Red : Vehicules layout. Green : Screens Red dots : Maintenance bay Purple arrow : Queue line ending Blue dots : Loading aeras ("embarquement") Yellow dots : Unloading areas ("débarquement") (From DisneyCentralPlaza)
  22. Disney thinks about upgrading the capacity of Big Thunder Mountain... by remplacing the loco with rows! No more loco for BTM?! This is a serious rumor on the french DLP community, Disney Central Plaza. The ride is actually taken down for maintenance, but I don't know if there is any link with that update or not. They're more like working one the queue line. (note : this is Photoshoped...) They want to do that for running the attraction with four trains instead of five. The ride often makes e-stops when the loading is too long. Removing a train could avoid that.
