I would expect more headchoppers? Thats one thing Thorpe park and gardaland really put som effort into. Might just be hard to see on the pov though. -

B&M Wing Rider Coasters - Love or Hate?
tooooobbe replied to jfruge's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I really enjoyed The Swarm at thorpe park. I wouldn't say wing riders are my favourite rides but the variation makes it alot fun. First of all, the feeling flying forward (sitting) is great. 2nd since you can sit on both right and left side the wing cloaster bring alot more joy in re-rides (with seat switching). 3rd Forceless? Only been on the swarm but compared to othee rides I've been on it was not forceless at all. -

So, im back from my London trip and thought I could write something about my visit at Thorpe Park with my girlfriend. We went there this monday 12th October. The weather had been rainy for couple of days and the forecast said it would be some rain during the monday aswell. When the park opened it was all empty. It was actually empty the whole day, we never waited for more then 2-3 trains on any ride (Except for front row, which often were like 10 trains). Colossus - Was our first ride, went on the days first train. We sat in the middle and the ride was really good. I was afraid it would be rough but it wasnt at all. After our ride colossus shut down for about an hour, and after that they only ran one train. We went back few hours later and went in the last row - it was a mistake. It was so rough we both got a bad headache, ruined atleast one hour of fun for us. NO MORE COLOSSUS FOR US! Saw - Went for atleast 5 rides, some were pretty rough and some were really smooth... Great operators, we got to reride several times and since it was running so many cars I even got to jump 3 cars ahead (since 4 were at the station). I actually made 2 rides faster then 2 circuit with one car would be. A really nice ride overall, enjoyed the pre-lift. Nemesis inferno - Rode it so many times, I loved it. Was best in the rear. Great operators here as well (many rereides). It only ran one train during the whole day. Stealth - Rode it many times, never in the front thought (I know it was a mistake but it would have been like 20 minutes wait instead of taking the next train all the time). Operators let us reride aswell. Great ride. The Swarm - Went on it several times, once in the front. It was really smooth but a bit short. At one ride the fire effect worked, not on the rest of our rides. X - Seriously? Was the worse ride I've been on (including so many flatrides). Im sure it was better in the dark instead of this semi-lightning. DID NOT RERIDE (even tho I felt sorry for the operators, they were so alone in the dark with no customers) Overall we had a great day at Thorpe Park. The weatherforecast were wrong - it did not rain on us (even though the park was wet since the day before). The park it self is pretty poorly themed but I enjoyed how almost all rides had themeing. -

Tranan is fun and unique, allthough its not a great ride. Since its the parks major coaster (its a water park) I wouldnt go there for the coaster. Would have been great as an addition to a major theme park though. Skara sommarland is a very nice waterpark tho, a day there is no disapointment even if the coaster alone doesnt give you value for the entrence fee. -

Thanks for a quick answer. I will not be going during Frightfest, will be there at October 12th. I hope I wont need a fastpass then! (and if I do I assume they sell them in the park aswell, atleast thats what their homepage tell me). Again, thanks. -
Sorry, Sicily is not a country. Its a part of Italy. My answer to the topic: Sweden Norway Finland Denmark Germany Netherlands Italy Estonia Latvia Spain Thailand Turkey Ukraine Russia Egypt Edit: I guess the Vatican City could be counted aswell, but it feels kind of lame.

I will be going to this park in middle october (monday). I've heard its a really busy park even in october so I wonder if its worth getting a fasttrack pass? How long queques can be expected during the peak hours on the main coasters? If you have any other info you'd like to share for a first time visitor - please do aswell!
