What is your first memory?
Token Yankee Guy replied to FlyingScooter's topic in Random, Random, Random
my earliest memory I can recall happend when I was two. It wasn't really traumatic or anything, but my sister and I were put into day care at the Copper Mountain Resort over in Colorado. We were put there while the parents skiied, anyway, due to the age difference between my sister and I, we had to be seperated. I didn't want to be seperated from my sister so I can remember running to the smaller room that she was in, trying to get the door open, getting in and staying with her. The employees kept having to bring me back to my age group, but I didn't allow it and kept running back to my sister. So they finally gave up and let me stay with her. It's funny, because I remember it so clearly, every little bit of detail, I remember playing with a toy stove with the plastic hot dogs, I remember standing on this little plastic tree house in the room my sister was in while the lady vaccumed. -

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Token Yankee Guy replied to Sir Clinksalot's topic in Random, Random, Random
I saw this movie the day it came out and I thought it did surpass the original one. It had a bit more humor and it showed Charlie always putting his family first and everything else second. Now I want to see it in IMAX. -

haha, you wish it was Maine! but you're wrong. That's Route 61 looking down to the center of Centralia, PA. The town that's almost a ghost town due to the underground mine fire. There is a purpose for that, it's the possible chance of me getting a job in television down in California after I graduate.

I never got into a fight before at a park. I'm not the violent type, but I can keep my side of a debate going strong. The only time I got into an almost heated debate was with this kid at SFNE and we were talking about the tallest coaster and he was saying, "I'm going to go to CP and ride TTD which is the tallest coaster." At the time, KK was already open, so I said, "TTD isn't the tallest coaster, it's Kingda Ka at SFGAdv" So it kinda went back and forth from there until I said the specifications of Kingda Ka and he shut up.

i can't remember the cost to register the plates or what for my car. All I know is I believe is is under 100, and even for emissions, that's only 20 bucks. We also don't use emission stickers anymore, the state gave up on operating emission facilities and let the garages do the emissions. I dunno if Connecticut has a two plate law, but I know you are given two plates. Connecticut is a nice state to live in and the taxes aren't that bad.

How NOT to ride a Nautic Jet!
Token Yankee Guy replied to DragonKhan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
LOL, that is hilarious! But can you give us some translation on what the captions said? On the other side, I agree with the rest of the people from the US here that it's a shame we will never see anything like this in America. Can you imagine having one of these and a stupid mother decides to put their 3 year old kid on the ride and there goes the kid flying out of the boat at the end. Mom will sue because she was ignorant and didn't see the warnings, but the court will still side with her. eh, at least we got the fun slides, those you can get airtime on. -
2005 Roller Coasters
Token Yankee Guy replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I voted for Hades because I heard good reviews for this coaster and I'll be riding it in two weeks. Reason why Kingda Klunk didn't get my vote is because it decided to become the world's largest POS when it broke down a week before I went down. Craiggers "I still haven't gotten over the fact that when I went to GAdv, I saw Kingda Klunk, yet couldn't ride it" K -

oh man, I just noticed today that the internet restrictions have been lifted on accesing the internet at work. I typed in google.com and it popped up, then I tried this site and it worked. huzzah!! my long work hours will go by quickly since I can access more then the intranet, mapquest, and weather.com -
I just woke up too when I heard it. I went downstairs getting myself some cereal and my Mom turned on the TV and there it was. I wonder who was responsible for setting off the bombs.

sometimes, technology can be a b*tch. What is the difference between a memory stick and a memory stick pro? I bought a MS for my DV cam and it turns out the camcorder doesn't accept pro's. So I gotta return it to Best Buy in two days since I can't do it tomorrow since I bought it for NYC tomorrow! Looks like I'll have to bring my digi cam monster with me and the DV cam down to the city. -

SFNE report! (sorry, no photos)
Token Yankee Guy replied to RctInfinity's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
not many people actually hate SFNE. I personally love SFNE since it's a small park, doesn't draw that huge of a crowd (nothing compared to the big parks), and it has a great selection of rides and waterpark. It's also one of the cleanest six flags parks and they are rebounding with customer service which is a big plus. -

What are your 4th of July plans?
Token Yankee Guy replied to FlyingScooter's topic in Random, Random, Random
My plans for July 4th was work (I worked from 11-4:30) then I'm going next door to my neighbors 4th of July party, then we're going to set off fireworks. -
Great photos John. I noticed Rebecca Dyed her hair black. How long are you guys staying out there?

I get to set off fireworks today. But the stuff I bought is the ones that stay on the ground since Connecticut Law forbids aerial fireworks... Oh well, my neighbors 4th of July party should be good anyways.
