S&S or Intamin
ThanksforRiding replied to coastercrazy216's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The Intamin ones are a lot of fun and really efficient at delivering that thrill. But the S&S towers are better overall. The bounce adds a significant amount more to the ride experience. -
B&M Wing Rider Coasters - Love or Hate?
ThanksforRiding replied to jfruge's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Gatekeeper is a just ok ride. The thing is if that one didn't fully deliver then I think the concept is not very strong. Maybe B&M will make a really great one in the future but I have serious doubts. -
Favorite Defunct Roller Coaster/Ride
ThanksforRiding replied to GrapesLie's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Drachen Fire, The Chiller (specifically the Batman side) and Big Bad Wolf are all rides that I wish were still around. It's really too bad that they're gone. -

Best B&M Coaster Type?
ThanksforRiding replied to I305's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Inverted. It just seems to offer the most intense and wild ride. -
Best Drop Ride!!!
ThanksforRiding replied to coaster_shorty's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Tower of Terror is fantastic but Scream at Six Flags New England is the best straight ahead drop tower because you get shot and dropped in the same ride. -
Most Intense Rides You've Been On
ThanksforRiding replied to StrataKirby's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Intimidator 305 might be the most intense coaster I've been on but Harry Potter is also one of the most intense rides out there. -
Funniest Ride Experiences
ThanksforRiding replied to Coasters 4 ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
While waiting in the station for Manta (Orlando Manta) a man held up the train because he took his pants off, adjusted his underwear, put his pants back on and then rode the ride. -
Strangest layouts
ThanksforRiding replied to Her0ofLime's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
One of the strangest (although I'm not sure if it's the strangest) is Dahlonega Mine Train at Six Flags Over Georgia. Portions of the ride were clearly meant to react with stuff and other parts enclosed. But Over Georgia didn't do that so it comes off very weird. -
Favorite Coaster at Cedar Point?
ThanksforRiding replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Raptor is the best ride there. Although, strangely last time I was there Mantis was running better than it. -
Best Invert - Vote for your favorite!

Tough call between Alpengeist and Raptor but I'll go with Alpengeist for being a little more original. Raptor's a very close second though. -
Coasters at Night
ThanksforRiding replied to Erik Johnson's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Most coasters are better at night but Boulder Dash gives the best night ride. And not just among coasters but any ride. You can't see a thing while you're whipping around out there. -
Strongest/Most forcefull Launch
ThanksforRiding replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The S&S air launches pack a lot of punch. But I'm going to go with Kingda Ka. Not only is it pretty intense but it also just seems to last for a long time. -
I forgot about the one at Knoebles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUU8MIwVUSY The Knoebels train at night is really great. My pick would probably be the one at Busch Williamsburg. It's full sized, you'll get some nice views and it's functional (meaning that it's not just for show and actually useful in getting from place to place in the park).

What's your favorite Flat ride?

A Mondial top scan with a real aggressive program is hard to beat. -
Worst Coaster Ever?
ThanksforRiding replied to Mind Eraser's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
There are a lot of bad coasters out there and varying circumstances under which you ride them so this is very difficult to nail down. But some of my nominees would be Great American Scream Machine at Six Flags Over Georgia and Green Lantern: First Flight at Magic Mountain. -
Best coaster ride when raining
ThanksforRiding replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Don't care for SLC's much but Mind Eraser at Darien Lake gave me the best ride I've ever had on one in the rain. So now I only do SLC's in the rain. -
Your first Arrow Dynamics coaster
ThanksforRiding replied to stashua123's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Big Bad Wolf at Busch Williamsburg. It's unforgivable that they took that ride out.
