  1. What else could it be though. I'm not saying it is, i'm just curious now. Sure. Two flat rides, a new front entrance, and a new coaster, and extending the operating season by two months, all in the same year, for a park with annual attendance of just over a million. Let's think long and hard about that idea. Okay, that should have been long enough to realize why that isn't happening. They also added Patriot and Prowler within tree years of each other. And with SFSL and SDC in the area why not try to make WOF the destination park in the midwest. Worlds of Fun will never match Silver Dollar City for me. Even if they were adding a giga coaster next year on top of everything else, SDC would still be the obvious winner.
  2. Six Flags St. Louis Didn't Six Flags St. Louis get one of the most innovative dark rides of all time in 2015? Or am I wrong?
  3. As a huge Batman fan myself, Six Flags Over Texas's area impressed me when I visited in 2013. I'm very excited to visit again and ride not only 2 new flat rides but also a new coaster. Overall, great addition to the park!
  4. I think almost every enthusiast has dreamed of a floorless/invert hybrid, lol. I'd love to see a giga coaster with dive coaster trains and drop, but then following the basic giga layout. Probably not an ideal scenario capacity-wise, but overall would be an awesome idea in my opinion. That or just upscale the normal dive coaster layout with a 300 ft. drop.
  5. By this time next year, you'll be able to buy that new B&M hyper (that is, til Six Flags America sneaks in and takes it).
  6. Cedar Fair never confirmed a dark ride. They confirmed a new digital experience, likely VR at Cedar Point. If they had something big to announce, they would have done it the 18th, when Season Passes went on sale.
  7. That theory sounds like something that belongs on the KD Discussion Thread In what way? I'm genuinely curious. The KD forum is infamous for trying to pull a new coaster rumor out it's a$$, even if it's highly unlikely. I can see where you're going, but if they were getting something, they would've told us already.
  8. Worlds of Fun is also getting a new front gate/plaza, which is probably the most expensive part of their 2017 investments.
  9. One thing I'd like to point out are the new Skeleton Key rooms. I know you briefly mentioned them, but they are pretty interesting this year. 2 of them will actually be located in the scare zones (CarnEvil and Outlaw's Revenge), while one of them is in a secret location within the park...very interesting.
  10. I'd say at the very very most, POSSIBLY a third flat to fill Thunderhawk's spot or maybe a WWK water slide. I think both have a 5% chance of happening. I hope everyone here likes WiFi (but honestly, who doesn't?). I don't see FunPix coming as the park only really has four rides that you could use it on. Plus, I saw a list of parks that will be receiving FunPix in 2017, and WOF was not one of them.

  12. I know WOF is keeping their regular Fright Lane (without Skeleton Key) in 2016, unless plans have changed since my Scare School training last week.
  13. Because complaining on a roller coaster forum and then buying a season pass+dining plan for the upcoming year is a much more effective strategy.
  14. Yeah. Plus KD is the 3rd best CF park under CP and KI. (Although I personally would put KI and KD over CP, because quality over quantity, but I'm just going by the popular opinion.) I didn't know carowinds just closed. It didn't. King's Dominion is just a more well-rounded park. Nicer atmosphere and better line up of rides. Fury is killer but the rest of the park can't really stand on its own. Afterburn and Intimidator are fun too but everything else is just... meh. I'd rather go to Cedar Point, Kings Island, Carowinds, and Knott's before I go to Kings Dominion.
  15. "Sir, madmax is leading a boycott of Kings Dominion. He's got 50 people on board." "We can't have this. Stocks already dropped yesterday after we closed WWK. Get B&M on the line."
  16. This announcement was probably one of the most disappointing announcements I've seen in a long time. I would have ever guessed that they got the SMALLEST expansion in the chain (besides Michigan's Adventure...). I as gonna laugh when they got something really small, like GCI Hurler or Mass Effect. But laughing at this is almost cruel. I even feel sorry for MadMax. Is he still breathing?
  17. I would only be embarrassed if I were a coaster enthusiast that lived near Kings Dominion.
  18. I know, right? That's the most popular ride in the park. On some Bring-A-Friend days in July, it might be a station wait!
  19. No. They bought it from a park in Europe. Same with the Troika.
  20. The Slides to Rides Facebook page is I believe.
  21. Honestly, if they added a Sky Roller, you would need an entire police force to get me off the thing.
  22. Worlds of Fun started teasing in April and all they're probably getting is some used flats, a new front gate, and Winterfest. I don't get why people downplay winter events. The ability to ride major coasters in the winter without traveling is seriously awesome. Holiday in the Park at Great Adventure is my favorite addition at that park since El Toro (and it's up against stiff competition with Safari Off Road Adventure and Zumanjaro). I'm not downplaying it. I'm very excited. It's just not as exciting as a new, shiny steel coaster. And with Kansas City's climate, you'll be lucky to get on most of the flats, let alone the coasters. You never know. New Jersey is even further north and we power rode Nitro for an hour and a half at night in January with Boldikus. Batman ran like an absolute dream in the winter with a faster set of wheels even when it got down into the 20's so Patriot could probably run and run well. We'll see. I really hope you're right!
