Worlds of Fun (WOF) Discussion Thread

I can confirm that the trim brake is back on Timberwolf but it's right before the drop off the first turn. Hey atkeast the first hill will still have insane airtime and the rest will be mild floater again... -
Here is me standing by the old S&S slingshot ride vehicle from Eruption when I got to tour Frontier City's boneyard with Michael Schwitek!

Right, thanks for the help.

1. Yes, crowds should be quite moderate; this early in the summer it's not too bad anyway, and rain will help that. Kansas City doesn't see a lot of tourism, so park visitors are mostly locals who can easily choose a different day. 2. Go straight to Spinning Dragons. It easily has the longest lines of any coaster due to low capacity. Patriot should be next, so that the line for the front won't be too long yet, and it really is much better there (that's normally true of inverts, but I find the pacing best in the front as well, especially on the zero-G roll). Then Prowler, Boomerang, and finish with Mamba. Mamba is super high capacity, much higher than any other coaster there, so even though it will see a lot of riders, the line's never bad for it. Last you can do the Wacky Worm if you have children, or if you're a credit whore. 3. Jayke pretty much nailed it in his answer. The maintenance director told me today that the ride should open this weekend. Cool. Well, I've always said ride Timber Wolf last, as its roughness means the lines are short even on a busy day. With the refurb, though, who knows. Depends mostly on how many people are aware of the retracking. I doubt many people know about it. I've literally heard people at the park say they are "painting the ride yellow" so many people think it's still the same. Who knows, maybe the park will post stuff on their social media pages when the ride opens. -
Sorry about the misspelling, I was on the road and my phone was about to die and I was in a hurry to post. What my question actually meant was if there are any trains that have a similar restrictiveness to RMC trains. I have actually lost 15 pounds since April and I plan on doing a ton more, but I just need to know how much work I need to fit in so I can fit in the RMC trains. I have a very busy schedule and finding out where I am in other trains will help me plan times to try and lose weight based off the information I get from those other trains. I'm guessing Older Premier Trains are similar. Though, what you did say is great advice and I thank you for that!

I am trying to gauge how much weight I need to loose in order to fit in Outlaw Run again, and I was wondering if there is any other trains with similar restrictiveness. I've been on New Texas giant and fit just fine but I don't know if that is larger is smaller than outlaw runs lap bar restriction.

1- about a quarter of the usually crowd won't go depending on what day that visit is. 2- do prowler and mamba first, then the rest should be up to you. I'd just loop around the park since it is a big circle. 3 the first drop and turn was redone, and looks butter smooth, but it's not likely it will open soon. But for her, the most painful part of the ride was redone. Still look out for the start of the helix if they haven't fixed that yet. -
I'm not one to complain about amusement parks as they are hard to run, but this trip I just took was possibly the most disappointing experience of my life. Mainly on part of the staff. They were so incredibly rude and slow, it was horrible. An op at Titan was trying to tell a lady to put her bag somewhere else and the op said "use yo brain woman, but I doubt you got one" In one of my drinks a peice of the soda machine nozzle was in it! That plastic thing was so gross. The lady who have us a drink more than likely lnew what happened because she gave us an odd look. She then walked away giggling. So much else happened like that it made me insanely mad. I was going to spend the rest of today there but we left to go back to wichita. I honestly don't want to come back because I know nothing will change.

Lots of cedar fair parks have unknown coasters in their ads. I wish it was a hint but it doesn't mean anything more than likely. -
Post your milestone coasters
Jaykethekid replied to bgwfreak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have not reached 100 but i'm getting close! My 50th Millennium Force. I am trying to get my 100th to be either Fury 325, or whatever is the current best RMC at the time. -
I agree with the Batman 4D cone. It would complement the park greatly. I mean since the only wooden coaster they have is Judge Roy Scream, a GCI would be cool. I wouldn't say an RMC woodie since the park has an RMC already but some parks have more than one B&M that do similar things. I am coming back to the park next Tuesday and Wednesday, how bad are the crowds usually, and do they frequently do one train ops. Same question about crowds at Hurricane Harbor, but I imagine that has to do with the weather mainly.

If there is anyone at the park today could you confirm that Timberwolf is open? -

I don't understand really why worlds of fun would need another family coaster. Spinning dragons is a family coaster and prowler isn't too big to scare off the little ones. I do think either a launched coaster or a sit down looping coaster would be ideal for the park but I personally see bigger things happening to the park. It's just I've seen how much more crowded it is even during the summer week days. Maybe I've gone crazy since we have had a lack of large investments to the park, or not. I'd think a giga would compliment the park perfectly and the locals would really dig the ride. They go crazy over mamba and imagine an even bigger and better ride. But then again everyone thinks their local CF park will get a giga. -

Id be participating if I wasn't busy as heck. I will definitely try and donate though! I have always been wondering, but what was the best thing to ever happen to the park? I couldn't really decide between mamba or prowler. -

Memorial Day usually is quite crowded. I'd would do Fast Lane or Fast Lane Plus if you want to ride some of the slides at Oceans of Fun. On all the coaster, the Fast Lane merges at the station. For the slide complex over by the wave pool at Oceans of Fun(Predators Plunge and Sharks Revenge) they merge at the stairs. -

It appears they have only completely overhauled the first drop and turnaround, I highly doubt it is almost done! It will probably be done in sections I know it's going to be done in sections. I was just saying that the section they are retracting is almost done. I wouldn't scrap it. They should just install a new restraint system. -

Looks like Timberwolf retracking is nearly complete. I'm guessing early June opening. Steel hawk was having restrain issues today as well. -

I hope they don't put the trim brake back on. That ride was a beast without it last season. -

People always say ,"oh worlds of fun doesn't get a big enough flow of visitors to get a coaster." I mean you have to start somewhere. Making a big investment will bring in, usually, more people. More people = more money. More money means more investments. It's that simple.
