Timber Wolf still has a lot of jostling, especially in the final section of the ride. The parts that they repaved this year are actually fairly smooth and rocks much less than it did before. I always prefer front seat on Prowler myself, and typically do car 3 on Mamba when I'm on it. Timberwolf kinda vibrates on the new work but nothing major. The part of the ride not worked on still has some good bumps along the way, and there is a pretty bad one during the helix. Timberwolf is fairly rough, of course it is worse than prowler. Prowler just rattles a decent bit during the drop, and first airtime hill. Prowler though, is still way smoother than timberwolf. -

Yea, the area it is located at isn't the best. Even the games back there are falling apart. That area could be a good place to transform into a coaster plaza if we ever get one. -

Thunder hawk has been open every time I've visited this season, so I'm not sure what was wrong with it but it seems to be perfectly fine now. Maybe I always lucky with that ride..? I think it has only been down once of my visits this year, and that was last Thursday. Its usually running most of the time we are there. I guess D.H. Morgan hypers are having a bad year so far, with Wild Thing getting stuck at the lift a few times and having a weird shakiness on the front car, Steel Force also got stuck a couple of weeks a go on the lift, and now this. Actually this is the first real issue MAMBA has had this year. It has been running pretty reliable this season. Of course it hasn't been warm enough to melt wheels like it usually does during summer (hence the sprinklers before the station to cool them down) The sprinklers have not been on any of my visits and this is one of the warmest seasons in the past year or two. They were on most of the time last year and it rarely got above 85 degrees. Maybe its a new type of wheel because I never remembered the wheels to be black. They were on my last visit, which was Thursday. -

Man was this a stressful day for worlds of fun maintenance. We first got to the park we walked to mamba, it was broken down. We walk down to boomerang. It was closed as well and was having its lift chain removed. We then rode prowler and Zulu. We walk towards the scrambler. It was broken. Then Finnish fling was closed all day. Walked over by spinning dragons, it was broken down as well. Patriot was open like always though. That ride is never broken down. Truly impressive. Steelhawk was having the same restraint issues. We rode timberwolf which wasn't having any issues so far. As we exit the ride mamba sent an empty train out and then came to a stop on the MCBR. It was there a good fifteen minutes. We spent some time in oceans of fun. We came back and noticed Furh of the Nile had no line. They had all the rafts out. All coasters were using one train even though the lines were pretty bad. The lady at detonator today wouldn't let us stay as a group. We got our number how we got it and that's final! In total mamba broke down four times. Once stuck at the brake run. Spinning dragons broke down 3 times. Few flats kept closing. Then at night timberwolf got stuck on the lift. -
I've hit my hand on a branch during Prowlers airtime finale. I know if you sit on the right side of the train on Silver Bullet at Frontier City, you might be able to hit track during the first drop. You can also hit some supports on the brake run. Forgot to mentioan during Outlaw Run's wave turn, there is a tree branch that looks like it will chop your head off. Same with some supports during the double barrel roll.

I can't take the spinning well either. I agree though. I large screaming swing or a decent sized free fall tower would be cool if you ask me. -
I just noticed in an Outlaw Run off ride video posted on July 3rd, that the restraints seem to be more accommodating to large riders. I haven't seen a restraint near the top of the side wall to the train since it opened. I'm referring to the part that looks like a little step before the wall drops to the floor. I really ont know how to explain it better. Has anyone been there recently noticed a change?

Seeing that all cedar fair parks will be getting dark rides, which do you think would come first? Coaster or dark ride? -

Most INTENSE Coaster Moment?
Jaykethekid replied to EuroTre's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't know, but the section after the 153 outerbanked turn to the dive under the lift on Outlaw Run seemed insanely intense. It felt so insanely fast as well! -

I think a large wing rider would be great for the park. They could out it where it somewhat interacts with the Scandinavian section of the park. Still though, anything that is a good coaster is acceptable. All my friends are asking me if worlds of fun will be getting a new coaster and how they are getting bored with the park. It's time and I think they could get a huge boost in how many people come to the park when they get a big ride. -
This seriously just blows my mind. I do not understand how people can not "feel" Outlaw Run's airtime anymore. Seriously??? An RMC Coaster losing it's airtime?? Coasters do not simply "lose" their airtime, aside from maybe installing a trim going into an airtime hill, or slowing down a launch on a launched coaster. But there is no way possible Outlaw Run has lost its airtime. I have been on the coaster in all different types of weather from freezing cold, to rain, to 110 degrees, and it always has extreme airtime. The ONLY thing I can think of that would cause someone to think that they can not "feel" the airtime any more is if their seat belt is way to tight, and they are "stapled" by the restraint. That would keep them from getting the feeling of their butt leaving the seat, but they would still get that "being thrown around" feeling. Wow, and to think... I thought I had heard it all. I was lifted out of my seat and I quite noticed it but I didn't feel the same pressure in my legs than I did before. It just felt "different". I got a trip in July here and I guess I will just have to wait to find out.

I know the slam into the turn was just under maintained. It had a good size lateral bump when the turn started. But what I'm confused at is how is the airtime different because the hill wasn't made taller or wider? -

Timber Wolf is now open! It is! Yes! I heard that the trim brake on the turn is very light so that's good. -

Oh my bad. I believe those are to protect the track ties from the anti roll back dogs. Not sure, but that's what I'm thinking -

I honestly don't see what you are talking about voyager. Do you mind circling it in the picture? -

I'd bet it would be open by July 4th. They have been testing the heck out of it. Like I said the trim brake is back on after the first turn before it drops to the hill under the lift. Looks like they want it to slam on the brakes really hard there. -

Still looks like I'm the only one who thinks there will be a coaster in the next two years
