  1. Honestly a small dive machine isn't something certainly to rule out. Griffin was what 16 mil and it's the biggest if the bunch. Patriot was 14 mil and it didn't seem to set the park back too much seeing that they got prowler three years later. The smaller dive machines definitely wouldn't cost that much seeing that they take up less material and space. It would also fill the needed gap of a sit down inverting coaster or a floorless coaster.
  2. Spinning Dragons is in the bottom left corner, and Boomerang is right behind the Mamba. And they used Prowler, not Timberwolf.. Lol I guess we should just wait and see. I'd bet on a new flat ride package over a new entrance. Heck, I'd bet on an RMC Timberwolf conversion before a new entrance. While I'd love to be wrong, let's look at what we have solid evidence for before running off crazy And let's not forget the dark ride that will most probably make it's way into the park, where would it go? The park doesn't have any large structures that aren't used often. Doubt we will see that since they are spending a bunch of money on twolf retracking and there has been no sign of it anywhere at anytime.
  3. Looking at the green track, it can't be inverted or flyer. It doesn't have curved track ties either. Maybe it's a banked airtime hill like on NTAG except not ejector airtime?
  4. Obvious (insert job here) is obvious. Does anyone have any updated pictures of TW?
  5. Im sure it's just a space filler, but I just noticed that. How interesting. Is there any other in the other commercials.
  6. I don't know how they would do it though. The oath from the parking lot comes to the right of the entrance, so you wouldn't be able to really have a fury 325 like entrance so I don't know. Maybe they would turn the entrance as well.
  7. That greenish grey track in the background looked a lot like the crest of an airtime hill.
  8. Okay. First and foremost, why in the world would an employee tell a guest that?!? Especially a high schooler during a band visit day? No hate, I'm a senior in high school. Anyways, that makes very very little sense. Park employees don't just go around telling people the future expansion projects. ESPECIALLY since you said you didn't even ask. Were you talking about the park getting a new entrance, then an employee butted in that information? I've heard my own fair share of blush-t from employees at the park, and it's generally from the employees who hate working there. I'm just flabbergasted that anyone would tell you that, well, because I'm pretty sure they wouldn't. HOWEVER. If somehow this is true information and someone wasn't blowing smoke up your rear, the entrance would have to be gutted and rebuilt- there isn't much room near the front entrance. And IF there is a coaster coming with it, the entrance would have to be in either Scandinavia or Orient. Scandinavia doesn't have tons of room around the front gate, except for the big wooded area behind Tivoli Hall, but I'm pretty sure that is where the park compiles trash..? In orient, I suppose they could re-use the old express entrance, but the haunt list is at 13 this year which means either another one must be built or this one is staying. What kind of coaster would it even be? I don't even know at this point... I sadly would guess a standard wing rider, nothing special in regards to record-braking stats. I'd love to say giga, but of all places the front entrance is not where the room is at. I suppose I'll believe it when I see it. I was really banking on the existing portions of the park being cleaned up before something like that. I also am expecting the park to eventually expand outwards behind the wind seeker into the giant field all the way to the Timberwolf. I'm skeptical to say the least, especially since this is a completely new concept and generally the parks already have some sort of game plan, and the fact nobody has mentioned this expansion before further pushes my feeling the employee was a jokester. As much as I love idea of a coaster entrance- or just a new entrance, even, I don't see it. Honestly, I was almost positive the entrance got refurbished in between 2011 and 12. I've never been strikingly concerned over the entrance because I don't think it is that bad. I'm hoping I'll eat my own words come this fall WOF normally gets the shaft, so I'm now extremely anxious for the next season and it is May. He said he liked my gatekeeper shirt and then went on to the entrance thingy. Yea it confuses the crap out of me.
  9. I can already see the showers of vomit raining down on people of it stays that way.
  10. I was told by an employee today even without asking, that worlds of fun is getting a new front gate next year. And he awkwardly said that worlds of fun "is in no need of a new coaster". I thought that was interesting. Also does anyone know how much of timberwolf is getting retracked. So far the first turn is completely gutted of track. Is any actual coaster manufacturer behind this work? So it was band day for the park and boy was it busy. Mamba had near full line by 12:30, but was moving at a pretty good pace. Boomerang was usual. Prowler has started to scream and screech again. Right exactly where it used to as well. Right before the brakes. Mamba was great, blew right through the mcbr. Speaking of mamba I have finally completed 1000 rides on it. Detonator was only operating one tower and the one that was open didn't seem to be as strong. They weren't having a lot of problems on Steelhawk. They got the people on, maybe moved one group but then was off to ride. The only comPlaint I have about my trip is that the employees at patriot and spinning dragons were really grumpy and just very negative, though the patriot crew still did an amazing job at dispatching trains quickly. Most were out before the ride even got back.
  11. 1. I was told that it was showing age, and I also heard that I'm not sure of that there was an accident as well. 2. Yes 3. I've only seen the one you were more than likely talking about.
  12. Say what you want, I think that worlds of fun would be ready for a giga. I've talked to so many people who say they would rather drive to sfot because the rides are bigger and better. They have the space, good enough attendance, certainly enough space over by mamba too. The problem I see is how diverse the lineup is here. They would either have to build a really big coaster or really small. They already have a hyper and have had it for 17 years. It's time for something though. Any new coaster is acceptable.
  13. Won 2 cut the line passes from the plinko game. I will have to try it again. Mamba was running really good today. Lots of airtime. Boomerang and timberwolf were down. As far as I've heard TW is down until June... Edit- forgot to mention that steel hawk seems to have more restrictive restraints. Last season it had to just have the seat belt fastened but now, according the operators, it has to be fastened and one more position down. That really knocks out a large amount of people who could ride it since it already had slightly restrictive restraints
  14. When does cedar fair usually make their announcements for their parks?
  15. Good! I have never been any but close to not fitting on any s&s rides, but I remember I was just on the edge of not fitting laste year.
  16. So, have any of you guys seen larger people ride outlaw run, that carry most of the weight in the mid section ride. I think I'm slightly to big to ride, but if I fit in NTAG will I fit in this. I just have gained weight since my last time at the park.
  17. Most of the GP and some of my friends still think New Texas Giant is a wooden coaster. It has entire steel track so I highly doubt it's a wooden coaster. Also a lot of my friends think the rides at Worlds of Fun are death traps. They are always sayng," did you know ten people die on mamba every year!"
  18. Well, when I was at sfot on their opening day, they were doing assigned seating on New Texas Giant. If I asked to sit somewhere specific, the tried to get me close to where I wanted to sit. Maybe, if they did assigned seating in sections like this setup where you would ask for a section of the train. Front- Row 1,2, and 3 Middle- Row 4,5 Back - Row 6,7, and 8 It would at least give some sort of freedom in choosing where you sit.
  19. I don't mean to fuel the fire or anything, because that's not what I'm trying to do, but I didn't really expect Fury to be an airtime machine. They already have a ride in the park that has airtime, and lots of it. Fury is meant to be intense and twisty. Though the ride seems to have brilliant airtime in many spots based off the rider cams, it's obviously not about that for this ride. I am still very impressed with this ride, and its a great addition to Carowinds, or would be for any park that doesn't have a giga!
  20. So, I forgot to ask but, is wildfire running any better this season so far. Last year I went in May and had a major rattle and felt a bit sluggish.
  21. How bad are the crowds on opening day, I have never gone on opening day.
  22. That tower ride looks like it has great airtime!
  23. Are obnoxiously annoying teenagers(I am a teen but whatever) very common in Dallas and the area around the park. We were riding batman, and this group of teens in front of us would not stop screaming, from sitting in the station all the way to getting off. Good gosh, it was so bad.
  24. I was really shocked by judge Roy scream, it was so smooth.
  25. I don't follow. Are you saying the train length fluctuates? About last September the train was shortened to five cars. That went through the rest of the season but now it's back to six.
