  1. It's not really that small of the park. It does get huge crowds on the weekends. While weekdays are pretty dead wich is what most parks are like. I mean it has like three major coasters. Silver bullet, diamondback, and wildcat. I'm sure they've worked with SS with eruption and parts for diamondback
  2. I like how people completely forget about the smaller but growing parks in the Midwest. The one that comes to mind for this ride is frontier city. They have removed three high thrill rides in name of family rides so I could see them get a new coaster. They had a survey and they had something similar to a 4d coaster on there and it got a lot of likes. All the land they could build on their property is long and narrow. Eruption has been removed there too. So they could use it's somewhat large que and and platform for a new ride. They even said on their Facebook that big things are in store for 2015..........
  3. So apparently timberwolf has reopened. According to a friend that lives in kc and is also an avid enthusiast. Timberwolf feels like a new coaster. He says prowler has also gotten a lot rougher since my last visit. He said timberwolf feels smoother than prowler now. I'll have to check that out soon.
  4. Yea that was them. What a coincidence. I honestly didn't know adventure land was that close. You are saying 4 hours from Wichita right
  5. Yea prowler isn't rough but it isn't smooth. It's got a pretty bad rattle. Timberwolf was closed because of retracking because of the kid who got a concussion the day before. Also note I was there that day too and I was passed in line by some teen looking people a lot......... Glad you liked the park
  6. Yea it seems lie, something they would do. I mean seriously they would try out something new here because if it went bad it won't hurt there big money maker parks like cedar point. But nothing would go bad with an RMC
  7. It is a very special coaster to people like me. I absolutely do not want to see it go away. Just cedar fair needs to I vesta big amount of money completely retracting the whole ride especially the drop and turns. But from what I have seem from steelhawk, timberwolf will be riding good again.
  8. A Kansas City mom says her son got a concussion after riding the Timber Wolf roller coaster at Worlds of Fun. Latoya Wilson said her 11-year-old son had to be rushed to the hospital after he hit his nose and face on the ride and suffered a bloody nose. Just found out about this incident. Very sad. Well from what I see they are heavily retracking timber wolf right now in many spots. I'm not sure but could this be the end of TW. You can find out more info at kmbc9.com
  9. Well when we were there, that same side always won until Friday when it was two train operation but that side made it to the brakes first but the other side made it to the station first. Me confused, so dazzled
  10. Sorry if this is old news, but does anyone else notice how the the track on the right side has a faster lift. Why??
  11. Out of he three days I was there it was down the evening of the last day I was there so it's not to bad anymore
  12. I have to give a shout out to an alpengeist ride op named dan. He's so nice.mhe pointed out my tpr shirt while our ert session during the insider tour. H told me about how much he loved tpr and how he's going to a bunch of places soon. So dan if you are reading this, I am that kid you saw on alpengeist wearing that tpr shirt
  13. Hmm I thought that post was about a weekend. I'm not sure about discounting tickets. I am only thirteen I don't do money stuff yet. But you might find discounted tickets at gas stations. I just saw a little thing about orient express. Was it true that it stood 217 feet tall? And it derailed? Sorry if I'm acting stupid,I really never knew anything about the ride
  14. To won't need fast lane. They get you into the station which is where the lines usually are. If you go to thr local gas stations you should find better deals on tickets
  15. Yea I completely blacked out on the first turn not tensing up at all. I usually tense before it starts turning up. But I don't mind it. The really only part I don't like about the ride are the quick snappy twists. I wanted to put my hands up but I needed to hold on or I got chopped on the neck. I usually get a bad pressure headache on the turn before the first twist. But then it lessens. Man is that ride forceful
  16. Well, guys I did not get any night rides. I spent an hour waiting for the front just to be told that I305 will be close for the rest of the night for fireworks. I was really excited to ride it and I thought I'd never get to ride the front again since I am leaving. Thanks to my parents, I will be riding in the front finally.
  17. So I was at KD the past three days including today. So here is what I experienced. I liked intimidator 305. It's definitely not my favorite coaster oddly. The restraints really hurt my shoulders on the airtime hills. I felt it was more of a stress test than a ride. I came off with a headache from straining to combat greying out. I felt if it didn't cause grey outs and had Lap bars it would be a lot better. My favorite coaster there was volcano. I love the nice launches. It's sort of smooth. I love the rolls. Shockwave..... Just no. I hate it with a passion. I don't think I will ever be able to have kids. Or shoulders that feel good. Or a head without a headache. Back lot stunt coaster was cool. Pretty smooth too. Flight of fear was awesome though the mid course brakes sucked. Grizzly was awesome, some airtime and not to terribly rough. Hurler was alright. That last turn was probably the roughest spot on the ride. The seats are way too small though. Anaconda sucked too. Whitewater canyon was the best rapids ride I have been ,on. DRENCHED. That back part of the park is actually pretty. Reminded me of silver dollar city. Windseeker runs way longer than steelhawk. The log flume back there too is the best flume I have been on, it's got some rapids and is smooth the drops are good and it doesn't get you too wet. We are going back right now so I will talk about the night rides later
  18. Yea after riding windseeker at KD I realized how much longer it is than steelhawk. About twice the time
  19. Has FOF always had the colored LED lights on in the main building. I thought it was pitch black in there.
  20. So we did the roller coaster insider tour today. Wow that is a must do at the park. It's fun messing around with griffons wheels
  21. Okay but is it. It doesn't necessarily look like it and it certainly felt like it wasn't.
  22. That would still have extremly low capacity if you ask me. Verbolten..... Is it heart lined? It doesn't fell like it is and doesn't look like it either. I also find the ride to be quite rough. I have bruises on the back of my shoulders. I rode Mach tower. I loved Mach tower.
  23. Honestly I preferred the front for airtime. It lasted a lot longer and it seemed just as strong. I loved the way at the top of the first and second air hill that it threw me forward. Super intense. I don't think I will find a roller coaster as good as this in quite a while..... Griffon was cool too though
  24. So today was my first day here. Let's say it was packed but the lines couldn't be any worse. Averaged thirty min. So these are my experiences. Alpengeists was great. Not rough at all. Must've been because I braced through the cobra roll though. Loved it The park was clean employees were friendly. Very SDC ish. Very nice theming. Especially on escape from Pompeii. So many know me as a massive fan of outlaw run. No it's not my number one coaster now. Matter of fact it's my third. Appolos chariot blew my mind! It was amazing. Never felt as much airtime ever. It's so relentless but I did find the drop a little rattley. Verboten was fun. The launches were cool and the drop thingy was awesome. Hey does AC give good night rides because it would seem like it would. I absolutely love the ride!!!
