  1. So I went to worlds of fun yesterday. I noticed a couple of things good and bad. Steelhawk is definitely getting close to opening. They were training the fire department and EMS on the new evacuation system. We saw the yellow and gray cages go up to the top of the tower while the main gondola was up there too. Timberwolf just flat out sucked. It's never been as rough as it was. Mamba had the mid course brakes on way to hard. It went to a near complete stop. I never knew there was a straight section on the drop off the mid course brakes. They. Have never been on so hard Prowler was amazing!! It's never ran as good as it was when we went. You really felt the airtime. Or should I say hairtime.
  2. So when I go in a couple weeks from worst to best. What order should I do the rides there.
  3. Schlitterbahn posted a pov too. There is some serious air right before the trims on the first drop
  4. I actually don't think it is. Man that train is so cool. I'm not sure if it's red orange or hot fiery death
  5. I'd love to see a wing coaster come to silver dollar city. But that's only of they keep a lot of trees intact as it would be cool to fly through the forest. Kind of like gatekeeper in the woods.
  6. Yes outlaw run is WAY better. Alright so apparently brad Thomas, I think that's his name, was at cedar point the other day. Could they be considering adding something similar to the things at cedar point(another intamin blitz). I hope it's something good and not a pipescream clone. Well the have lector spin so I doubt that's what it'll be.
  7. So I just saw that timberwolf is not going to open at the same time the park does everyday. I'm wondering why that's the case. I hope maintenance on it isn't getting to bad because I don't want them to tear it down. I actually like it
  8. Hmm. I did not here about that at all. Where did you find out about it. I would expect it to open on a Friday though
  9. That would be something to post on worlds of fun thread but no, still nowhere close
  10. Any new info on steelhawk other than it taking way too long to open?
  11. Honestly I'm sure I'd like raptor nowadays, because I was eight when I rode it. The only other invert I was on before was patriot so I thought it would be like patriot. Alpengeist, appolos chariot, and intimidator 305 are the coasters I'm most excited for this summer, Also describe to me the airtime on appolos chariot. Is it strong, long or floaty
  12. That's probably because it rolls so fast you get thrown around. Thanks for the info guys. I just wasn't sure since a guy on a youtube channels called coaster studios said it was the roughest invert around. I know of many that are probably worst. I have another question. How much and how strong is the airtime on appolos chariot
  13. Good, because I found raptor to be a bit too much for me, and patriot to be good enough for me, but I'd still like better. How smooth is it
  14. I'm not sure, but when I go this summer, I am doing the roller coaster insider tour. Pretty excited for it. I have a few questions about alpengeist. Is it particularly forceful Is smooth, if not how rough, I hope you guys can help me out with these questions. I'm excited to ride it, because the only inverts I have been on are patriot and raptor
  15. That's odd, they told me that they can do it and they let me do it. Maybe it was because of my TPR shirt. Doubt it, but they were letting people do it.
  16. It's not really not that bad, though it could use a bit of work in a couple places. Oceans of fun needs some sprinklers on the concrete though. It gets effin hot and the paths are filled with tiny bits of gravel
  17. I just went to worlds of fun yesterday and here is what I noticed. - for this whole year timberwolf has not been using the trims at all. The ride is actually very good now, still a bit rough though. - Mamba's mid course brakes were on very hard -steelhawk was doing some very extensive tests. They were raising it up and down the tower all day. I think we could be close to an opening -prowler was great, though the first drop is getting quite rough -Patriot was running extremely well. Smooth as butter. It also felt like it was running extremely fast., it was actually quite forceful. -Boomerang Sucks -the new slides at oceans(well new last year) were really painful last year, well the body slides were. But they were pretty good now. Tube ones were still awesome - The water was FREEZING in oceans.
  18. Well, when we went it was unlimited for outlaw run too, that was two or three weeks ago. So yes it's unlimited on all rides. Any more info on geyser gulch
  19. Yes I know, but I'm sure that silver dollar city could put in something like that and make it fit in. Barn swing is a very good example of this. Same with wildfire. The colors they used blended it in with the hillsides and forest
  20. I just talked to one of the people at worlds of fun, and they said steel hawk was officially delayed because lf weather and that every day weather troubles them it's sets them back three more days. Hmmm that's not very good considering it's supposed to storm basically every others day for the next week or so
  21. But it's one of the first runs. As always the first runs are the slowest. A good example would be gatekeepers first
  22. I don't think any real high thrill flat rides would fit with SDC's theme. The Barn Swing is an exception, but most thrilling flat rides are noisy, tall, and modern looking. Coasters can be designed to hide in the terrain, flat rides can't. Plus, SDC is a family park, so a few fun family flats wouldn't hurt. Well. A Zamperla giant discovery with a similar theme, maybe more would work really well if there was a clockwork themed area. Here like this. Just like we a bunch if gears and maybe some clocks on the sides
  23. Mwe really don't need something like fire chaser. We have powder keg. We need a good set of high thrill flat rides. Not another bunch of kiddie things that they keep getting. Or a roller coaster with a thrill level between wild fire and outlaw run
  24. Does anyone know when this is going to open? I mean seriously, they didn't open it because of weather last weekend, it should've opened by now
  25. Well it's pretty different than the one a dollywood. This one I believe was made by proslide, correct me if I'm wrong, and was actually a full blown waterslide. The rafts were inflated and could flex and twist unlike the rafts at DW. Yes it was very aggressive. You got drenched on it. It was very intense and fun. My dad did fall out if the rafts around one of the corners though. He managed to get back in. Even though it was somewhat dangerous I loved it. I am not really getting excited for this new expansion as they already have two sections made for kids. Yea the shot tower would,be cool, really cool, but everything else is just pretty meh in my books.
