Did you get Vortex at Kings Island confused with Magnum at Cedar Point?? I've never heard anyone say Vortex is sinking...

This. So much. This. The ride really does look great, and I'm sure it will be fun... But I when I think of people planning a vacation, (both enthusiasts and the general public) I just can't see someone saying "Holy crap Martha! Did you see this new rapids ride at Sea World?? We MUST GO THERE NOW!!!"

I am beyond sad to see this show go. It was my all time favorite theme park firework show. That being said, I am VERY thankful that we were already planning a trip to WDW for next summer, so I'll at least get to see it one last time! After that, I am beyond thrilled to see what Disney replaces it with. It was an amazing show no doubt... But it is time for an update. Sad that it's leaving, glad I get to see it one last time, can't wait to see what replaces it!

Did you seriously just imply that the people who would otherwise be working on Lightning Rod can’t do it this week because they’re (presumably) busy carving jack o lanterns? They’re not the same people. I was seriously think the exact same thing as I was reading that post. Mountain Slidewinder has also been removed from the list of rides and attractions on dollywood.com! It typically stays listed on the site throughout the year. Has anyone heard more about what's going with this long-time ride Maybe it's about to get the same treatment the one at SDC got?

It hasn't even been open a full season and they have already lost a train to being a part donor?? Holy crap. Wow. I would say I'm shocked... But It's Darien Lake so yeah. This is how it was at SFOT this year. You just processed and received the card at the turnstile. The card does look and feel REALLY cheap, but I guess that's just how Six Flags is doing it now? I'm guessing it is saving them on staffing cost by not having to staff the Season Pass buildings?

While I was thinking about it... I'm going to add Twisted Timbers to my list. Granted it is not, by any means, a BAD coaster... To me it was just REALLY overrated. I know that bigger is not always better... But I'm use to the "bigger" RMC's like New Texas Giant, and iRat so this one just seemed a bit... eh. I was SUPER excited for the barrel roll drop... But after riding Twisted Timbers I have learned that I am NOT a fan of those. I prefer the "straight" drops of other RMCS's. (Just a personal preference.) Idk... To me there just wasn't really anything about Twisted Timbers that really stood out. For me it was kind of a forgettable ride at the park. I know this is just my opinion, and others feel differently... But yeah, for me, it for sure goes on my "Most Overrated Coaster" list.

I'd bet that they were looking at Rocky Mountain's I-Box conversions with cautious optimism when Gwazi closed, and by the time they said, "hey, let's do it", Rocky Mountain's backlog was probably filled for years. Perhaps the new ride has already been designed, and they just have to wait another year for Rocky Mountain's manufacturing lines to free up for them. That would be my bet too. They were like "Hey let us make sure these i-Box conversions go well." --- "Hey look! They went great! Let's order one!" --- And... Now it's hurry up and wait till RMC can get to them.
