This. Seriously this is how I feel about the lighting. Yes the station lighting is pretty cool. But the lift hill lights are a bit much. -

Looking good!!! You're doing well with the details. Like the road, the overpass, the little buildings. Keep up the good work. -

Based on the very little amount given I would say it is off to a good start. Hopefully it turns out to be a great project. I look forward to seeing more. -

I love the light on the station... Not sure how I feel about the lift hill light... I'm sure it will grow on me though. Glad to see the coaster is as far along as it is. -
Rides You Can't Ride?
DoinItForTheFame replied to DoinItForTheFame's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I tried to ride "Electro Spin" at SDC. (A Zamperla DISK’O ride.) I seriously barely made it off the ride. Apparently I can not do rides that spin you around in a small circle while swinging you back and forth any more. I have never been on a ride that made me so nauseous in my life. -
When I was younger I loved power surge rides!!! They were always so random, and so much fun to ride. I loved riding backwards because the weird whipping sensation you would get when your seats were not inverted at the top was amazing. Riding forwards was fun because you could watch the concrete spiral towards your face thengospinning back up in the air. They are super amazing rides. They are not scary, but they are fun. I only say "when I was younger I loved them" because in recent years I have not had a chance to ride one, and a lot of the things I could handle when I was younger I can't really handle now. However, if you have a chance to ride one I say do it! You never know how much you're going to enjoy it.

Another one of these rides??? While I may not be excited about what type of ride the park is getting. . . I am excited that they are getting something new. Also, this type of attraction is going to fit in great with the type of people who visit the park. It's a ride that some younger individuals can do, yet it is also something that teens and young adults will be drawn to. While I'm not super stoked about the type of addition from my personal side of things, I am super excited to see the park making an addition that will be good for the park! I mean... It's better than nothing at all!

Maverick is getting I305 restraints?! This might be the best addition of any park for the 2015 season. -

I'm all for another water park in Orlando. Yes Disney has great water parks. But we can always use another one. I hope the theming turns out to be as good as we expect. Edit: However. Is Wet N Wild going to remain closed ... Forever. . . ? Because if so... Then no. I like the slides at Wet N Wild to much to ever want to see it closed. If its just closed for a few months that's okay... But not forever. It's slides are irreplaceable to me.

Have you been on many coasters??? No... Really??? I can think of many coasters that last over 45 seconds from the top of the lift to the brakes... For example: Millennium Force Titan at SFOT Magnum XL-200 Maverick (Assuming you only count the time from the top of first drop.) Gemini New Texas Giant Mean Streak Leviathan Goliath at SFMM Goliath at Walibi World Powder Keg (assuming you don't count the midcourse lift) Wildfire (SDC) Almost all Disney coasters The list goes on and on... I feel that your statement: Is just... false. There are countless AMAZING coasters that last longer than 45 seconds from top of lift/launch to brake run. But... that's just my opinion.

So excited to hear about the addition of the drop tower. It is going to be amazing to be "inside" the coaster as you're on the drop tower! I can't wait for 2017!!! -

Per RCDB: (and several other sites) Maverick Capacity: 1,200 riders per hour Millennium Force Capacity: 1,300 riders per hour Top Thrill Dragster Capacity: 1,000 riders per hour - And if you are curious: GateKeeper Capacity: 1,710 riders per hour Raptor Capacity: 1,600 riders per hour Rougarou Capacity: 1,800 riders per hour Blue Streak Capacity: 1,400 riders per hour Corkscrew Capacity: 1,800 riders per hour Gemini Capacity: 3,300 riders per hour Iron Dragon Capacity: 2,000 riders per hour Magnum XL-200 Capacity: 2,000 riders per hour Mean Streak Capacity: 1,600 riders per hour Wicked Twister: 1,000 riders per hour So it is not that Maverick, and TTD have "Bad" capacities... However, they are some of the worst capacities in the park. Considering Top Thrill Dragster has the SAME capacity as Wicked Twister... When TTD Runs 5 trains and Wicked Twister runs 1!!! Yes, it has "bad" capacity. However its not so much the PPH that is the problem... The problem is the down time the coasters face. Considering TTD is down as much as it is, AND it has such low capacity makes it seem so much worse compared to GateKeeper for instance. Also, the amount of people at Cedar Point make the lower capacity coasters seem much worse than they really are. Also, getting the coaster to run at 100% capacity all the time is also a problem. For the most part I have never had a poor experience at Cedar Point with ride host getting the guest on and off the ride. They are always doing a great job. But there are always things they can not control such as large guest, guest with loose articles, weather, downtime... ect. So when all this is added together, yes TTD and Maverick may not have "bad" capacities when you just look at the PPH, but when you think of all the things that can keep them from hitting those PPH numbers, then yes... They do have bad capacities. -
If it were me I would vote Cedar Point all the way. My partner and I are in the process of booking a trip there right now. However he and I are both huge coaster fans, and we both know well will both enjoy everything there is to do there. However for you and your partner I would pick the Williamsburg trip. Yes there are coaster he won't ride with you... but there is not as many as there would be at cedar point. You guys could do Verbolten together! As well as several of their other attractions. And aside from the park there are more things in the near by area for you to do as compared to cedar point. Aside from restaurants there's not really much near cedar point. I look forward to your trip report from which ever park you decide to go to! Just make sure you make the decision that is best for both of you! Good luck!
