  1. Awesome report, and great photos! I love the amount of theming in the park!! I love how they even themed a ride that typical parks don't.
  2. I must add The Racer at Kings Island to my list. We recently got to ride The Racer, and it was awful. The first drop was tolerable, but everything after that was awful. We rode it once and it seriously ruined the rest of the day. We both got off the ride with a killer headache, that wouldn't go away for the rest of the day. Maybe we just had a bad ride, but it was seriously one of the worst coasters we have ever been on.
  3. I mean.. It's kind of like a city... So this is my favorite Skyline! Source.
  4. Oh... My!! This looks amazing!! You are so good at making these models! Thanks for sharing!!! What are you going to do with all of these!? What do you think your next model will be?!
  5. WOOOWW!! I must admit, I was not expecting much when I clicked on this thread... But I am amazingly surprised. You did a really good job with this coaster. It has a unique layout, and some nice elements! I can't wait to see the video!! Keep up the great work!!
  6. Same here. . . But they still look good!
  7. I can't even deal with this statement. Cedar Point builds an amazing, breath taking coaster, with light theming. But the theming that is there is perfect for the ride... down to the sound effects. . . But no... even the sound effects are going to be something someone complains about. Seriously?? I am starting to think that "Coaster enthusiasts" are so Damn jaded they can't enjoy an amazing ride when they are on one with out TRYING to find things to bitch about. Top Thrill Dragsters sound effects are NOT "corny" they are amazing. Because they help make the amazing ride what it is let me guess.. you think the "Banshee scream" at the top or Banshee ' lift hill is corny too?? The tire screech when the train launches is awesome. It is part of what makes the ride what it is. We were at the park this weekend and thankfully all the downtime happened while we were at lunch. We booked a VIP Tour because we didn't feel like waiting in line and seriously everything was up and running perfectly all morning. We went on lunch for our required one hour break, and while we were on break TTD, MF, Maverick, Rougarou, Gatekeeper and Raptor broke down. All within the same hour. For some reason during the break down the blue train was removed from the track on TTD, and the yellow train was removed from the track on MF. Not sure if it was just an issue with the train on each if the rides, but later in the evening when we were back on the rides both of the trains were back on the track. And no... no issues with typing on the mobile site. But maybe that's just me.
  8. I agree. When I first read the title of this thread RMC was the first company to come to mind, and Goliath was the first coaster I thought of that made me think RMC would be the next ones to enter the hyper coaster category. Yes, RMC is doing a lot of refurbishments right now, but they also seem to be the hottest coaster company out there right now. I wouldn't be surprised if they are not already planning, and working on a 200+ft coaster for one of the next up coming seasons, and we just don't know it yet.
  9. If I were to see something like this going on I would be reporting that person to guest relations or whoever else needs to be informed. I don't know all the ins and outs of park operations, but I thought the bins were put in use so that employees didn't have to handle riders belongings and therefore the park can state they aren't responsible for them (this outside of providing a place for loose articles). I would think an employee taking them and putting them in for you would make them responsible should they go missing or broken. This is one reason they are starting to put fluffy, fluffy bunnies filled with medicine and goo in now with new coasters (besides increasing capacity)....they will be at the rest soon enough. I have been to parks before where there were specific employees on the platform that would take your items and place them in the bins as you were boarding the trains to help to speed up the loading process. That way as they were placing items in the bins you could already be getting seated, buckling your seat belt, and pulling down your harness. It sure made load time quicker, and threre was never really a problem for the employees or any of the guest involved. Makes me wonder... Would you report that employee too... When they were just trying to do their job by helping out the guest and by helping load the trains faster??
  10. Fixed. I have yet to visit a park with better operations than Cedar Point. Even on slow days, every coaster (minus Wicked Twister obviously) runs at least two trains. It's clear that the park prides itself in getting the line moving as fast as possible. As far as American regional corporate parks go I would agree that Cedar Point has the best operations out there. Sure parks like Knoebels still put them to shame, but they also have far less ridiculous safety devices / scans and checks to contend with. You're shitting, right? There's a difference between being efficient and bitchy. Last time I was on GateKeeper, one of the ride ops was running up and down the station, taking everyone's stuff, just tossing it into the bins, and practically shoving people into the seats. And if you didn't teleport to the seat and magically do your restraint instantly, you would get some dirty-ass look as she slammed the restraint down and shoved the seatbelt into the lock. Well at least she was working hard to get the trains out quickly.
  11. Awesome video. The ride looks amazing. Looks like a great additition to the park. Can't wait to try it out some day!!!
  12. Sorry for the double post. Still looking to see if anyone knows the up charge cost of the slingshot at Cedar Point. And which is better, Kings Island or Cedar Point?!?
  13. I agree. I feel like Batman was one of the most over looked new coasters of the season. Everyone is raving about Fury/Thunderbird/TC/WC . . . But Batman is barely getting any love. Those who do post about it seem to be regulars who visit the park often. With that being said I will admit that Batman, as unique as it is... is not enough to make me want to make the trip back to the park. I would be much more likely to travel to SFMM for TC, and that is 3 times the trip. To me Batman just does not have that "WOW!"... "OMG!" ... "I MUST RIDE THAT!" Factor that TC, WC, and Thunderbird have.
  14. Longer the line, the more people that would buy flash passes CP does everything to maximize capacity and has some of the best operations out there because it pulls in huge crowds. CP does not intentionally create a long line. That's one of the stupidest things I've ever seen on this forum. I agree 100%.
  15. Looking good!! I loved the Gatekeeper photos with the fireworks! Simply beautiful!! Can't wait to see more!!
  16. It just keeps getting better and better with every new photo.
  17. Longer the line, the more people that would buy flash passes They could buy Flash Passes if this ride were built at Six Flags... But I don't think their Flash Pass would do them much good at Cedar Point.
  18. ^^^ Oh. My. God. What a beautiful picture!!!
  19. Just randomly logged on to the webcams, and managed to catch Diamondback transferring off for the night. This is why I love park webcams. You get to catch some things like this that you may not see every day. Not that transferring a train is all that special, but it is still fun to watch!
  20. ZDT'S Amusement Park! Can't wait to go back when Switchback opens!!
  21. Yes. Way to many things. Do you like water parks?
  22. True. The person below me drinks at least 8 glasses of water per day.
