  1. Thankfully I have never thrown up ON a ride... *Knock on wood.* However, MaxAir has made me throw-up AFTER riding it. Thankfully I was able to make it to the bathroom first. But ugh. To. Much. Spinning. Also, I have throw-up when leaving an amusement park because of dehydration. But that wasn't really ride related.
  2. Almost everyone is quickly changing their mind from hating the idea, and colors of Valravn to starting to appreciate what a great coaster this coming to the park. And there are still those of us who have known how amazing this coaster would look, and ride before any piece of track was ever lifted into place, and we are still greatfull to be getting such an awesome addition to the park. I can't wait to ride Valravn, there is STILL no doubt in my mind it will be an amazing coaster. Each new piece of track that is put into place is confirming that this ride will be amazing.
  3. Flyer. Launch, or Lift Hill?
  4. W: Wicked Twister!!
  5. Notice how I never said anything about them stopping construction just because of snow, but because of the wind when there's snow: It's pretty apparent that no one here is familiar with lake erie weather in the winter. It's damn near miserable sometimes. I'm also not quite getting the criticism because you know that it's going to open on time... It's a B&M and it's at Cedar Point. They've planned for this. Wait... so you mean B&M and Cedar Point have plans...??? They actually PLAN to get this roller coaster open on time??? Oooohhhhh... that's right... This ISN"T Six Flags.
  6. I'd love for all of Vortex to look burnt... preferably with blowtorches. I agree 100%. Vortex is awful. I don't understand why you guys have such hatred towards such an amazing coaster as Vortex! A wire coat hanger has smoother transitions in the curves then what that coaster has.I found it to be an amazing custom looping Arrow Dynamics coaster with relatively smooth transitions! I really enjoyed my three rides on it during my first visit to Kings Island back in July of 2014. Maybe some people just can't handle a little bit of roughness. There is NOTHING... and I mean NOTHING smooth about those transitions. The entire coaster is rough. Even the straight sections some how manage to be rough. It is seriously like being in a speeding car down a road like this: How anyone can enjoy that coaster is beyond me. Rode it once, and I NEVER want to ride it again. The closest I will get to that coaster is when I am walking right past it to get to a different ride.
  7. Superman Krypton Coaster by far the best floorless coaster out there.
  8. Wait... So the ride isn't even open yet, and it's down for high wind???
  9. I'm about 99% positive mine was Wildfire at SDC.
  10. That's been there since the very beginning, I thought it was a porta-potty for the construction workers or something. It was there before any other supports were placed. Then again, I could be wrong. It could be the base of a support. Yeah I went back to the time lapse, you're right I just did the same thing. Yep, it's a porta-potty. You can even see what looks like an open door.
  11. Gemini was only $3,400,000 when it was built in 1978. Given inflation that price would be $12,402,595.09 to build it in 2015. That seems very inexpensive for "two" coasters, and the size that the entire structure is. Also, most people seem to think that it is a really good ride.

  13. I haven't ridden Jokers Jinx but I've been on Flight of Fear @ KD, that last corkscrew is taken in complete darkness, really caught me off guard the first time. Heck, the first half of the ride had me questioning which way was up. Agreed. The last Corkscrew on Flight Of Fear, Jokers Jinx, and Poltergeist are amazing!! Flight Of Fear was another surprise of our recent trip. We were not expecting much, but it is a really fun coaster. I'm adding Maverick to my list of "Big Surprises." I knew it would be a good coaster. However, I had no idea how extreme the airtime would be on the airtime hill right before the final brake run! From start to finish Maverick is relentless. Such a great coaster.
  14. AKA one of the greatest elements on a roller coaster ever!!! So true. I forgot just how amazing the RT hill is.
  15. False. The person below me has had a cavity before.
  16. --------------------- I like the "idea" of this coaster. If they could perfect it a lot more. The movement of the cars reminds me of the S&S Free Fly Coaster. Just above the track instead of beside the track.
  17. Wait... So it's NOT RMC doing the refurbishment??
