Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
DoinItForTheFame replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Some day as you grow up you will realize how your body changes. When I was younger I LOVED flat rides like MaxAir, Kamikaze, Ring-Of-Fire, Zipper, ect... Now there is no way I can ride any of them. And it's not because I am "under the assumption" that it will make me sick. I KNOW they make me sick. From experience. I'm sorry if you think it is "being picky" but to me it is being smart, and insuring that I do not ride one ride that will make me sick, and ruin the rest of the day at the park for me. I'm sorry if you think "coaster enthusiast make the GP look so much smarter" by protecting themselves, by not riding a ride they KNOW will make them sick. To me that makes coaster enthusiast smart, because instead of riding one ride that will ruin the rest of the day for them, they skip it, and enjoy the rest of their day. I know I have never been considered "picky" when I am at a park for seeing a ride, and saying "No thanks, you all can ride it if you want, but I know it will make me sick... So it's best if I sit this one out." Easy as that, takes 5 seconds, and no one ever thinks anything of it. There is a reason a lot of flat rides are nick-named "Spin and puke" rides, and it's not because some "coaster enthusiast were being picky." If you are prone to motion sickness even... after taking motion sickness medicine some flat rides can still cause you to become sick after riding them. Again, I know this from experience. Taking motion sickness medication keeps roller coasters rideable, but not some flat rides. -

^ I agree with Montu. Especially the Batwing... even more so when it is un-trimmed. -

I agree 100%. Firehawk was by far one of the biggest surprise of the park when we went. We had heard nothing but horror stories about how awful this ride was, and it ended up being one of our favorites. We rode it more than Banshee if that says anything about how much we liked it. -

I agree 100%. I have been on the ride when it was dueling, and when it wasn't dueling, and it is by far much better when it is dueling. Half of the fun of the ride was sitting in the front row, and having the extra fun added in by the dueling elements. That being said, even though they don't duel any more they are still two amazing coasters. The dueling aspect was just... better. Now it always feels like it's missing something.

Sad to not be able to see the webcams It's going to be an even LONGER weekend now. #OffSeasonProblems But at least we know the construction site isn't going to change any... Because it's Saturday and they don't work on Saturdays! So next time we see it, it should still look the same! -

Granted: But then you would have toe bleeds more often. Where you would uncontrollably bleed from your toe nails. I wish I had a martini right now. -

I'm curious to find out if the lights are on both sides of the lift hill. I think it would have a better "wow factor" coming into the park. -

I agree with this 100%. Banshee is very overrated, almost as much (if not more than) Kumba. Both are good rides, but neither of which are nearly as amazing as they are hyped up to be. When we rode Banshee I was expecting something amazing, and breathtaking... But it was kind of meh. I still thinks the Batman clones are more forceful than Banshee, even Raptor is more forceful than Banshee. I feel the opposite. I think Banshee is way less intense than Raptor. But then again, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. -
I know a lot of people lose things on TTD. Either at the base of the tower on the pull up, or at the top near the crest. I have frequently seen things fly off this coaster at those points, and the base of the tower always has random things laying around. I've seen some pretty unique coins from TTD where the coin has come out of someone's pocket and hit either the track, or a support and been bent in half!

^ Just noticed it on the webcam. While I may not be the biggest fan of it, it sure is... Bright.
