i rode 3 boomerangs last week. one with vests. i'd easily take the vests over OSTRs. but all 3 still sucked. the carowinds one was the one i rode with vests.

got to spend 3-4 hours at Carowinds today for the first time in somewhere around 18-20 years. i'm sure i'm not saying anything new, but Fury sure does ride with power. first couple rides were in the 3rd row. i wasn't prepared for the pop out of your seat you get near the front of the train. later in the day, or at least for a bit, there was no grouper, so got to ride the front and back at will. anyway, plan to get back soon for more riding!

if you buy a 2018 pass at Knott's, it usually has included one free day of the current year. so, you'd get one day in 2017. but i don't think they go on sale for a while. maybe late august? i'm pretty sure you still get that free day if you buy a platinum pass.

do they even do those during the day at Knott's? or SFMM even? I can't remember them doing it during the day. I know i've seen a few at Knott's and SFMM at night after normal operating hours.

back in the day when they stayed open during September, the first parking lot would get about 3/4 full, maybe. i can't see it being too much different. maybe a full lot, and some cars in front of the picnic area.

haven't been in a year and a half, maybe two, i forget. still, the only place CB beat me was after the double loop going into the turn. i'd get slammed pretty hard on the left side. maybe it's not bad if you sit on the right. i did 10 rides that morning i went before a trade show. but 20 plus years ago i did 50. lol i always like the Canyon Blaster.

It is a ride i've always wanted to ride, but it is too much! If it was $5 i'd ride it everytime. i've only done them twice. once at MGM Grand forever ago, and once at Magic Mountain. they're fun. i rarely see no one doing it at Magic Mountain.

it would probably be 60/40 toward Goliath for me. but i've probably ridden yolo more since you can see the line if it's real short. then, walking to goliath, might as well keep walking and spend the time riding TC instead.

pretty slow, even for SFMM standards.

The 4th train on Twisted Colossus is not a parts donor but is used when one train goes down for annual refurbishment so they can still run 3 trains. when they first got the 4th train they were taking seat backs off it. i haven't been for a month, but man, those seat back and sides are just about to crumble apart. it's hard to believe they actually started out black.

Yeah open daily in Sept. blew my mind when I saw that. I assume it has something to do with JL not opening until mid-late summer leading to more anticipated traffic than usual in Sept. oh, that's awesome. they used to stay open in september like 20 years ago. it was awesome. like half the first lot full. i assume since schools seem to start all over the place these days, they are giving it a shot.

i thought i read the Discover contract ended? just like Jaguar. what was it when it opened? 42"? i just remember my nephew could ride it one year, then next year when he came to visit he couldn't.

when they redid cedarpoint.com, tony clark said one of the reasons was also to make things more consistent over all devices.

it was definitely in need. sure, didn't look as bad as Tatsu, and not horrible for what we are used to at SFMM, but not great in any stretch.

i've always booked hotels on Hotwire, Priceline, etc. i do a lot of research on what hotels i most likely will get. so, most of the time, not taking huge risks while still getting a deal much better than direct. isn't always easy though depending on where you're going.

stopped by the park for a few hours today. first section of the parking lot was filled except about the last 2 rows, maybe 3. ghost town. basically just rode TC and Scream. had lunch and got my snack and left. my buddy and i rode TC i think 10 times and scream 3. didn't have to get off scream with only 1 train operation. scream was pretty brutal in the back. 3 was enough for me today. TC does seem like it's just hauling ass faster than i remember and how some have posted about. could be just my imagination. not sure about the thread of better operations at six flags as we only raced once, with an empty train. oh, rode full throttle too. seems it was so dead today, and hot, everyone was just in slow motion. i know i was, and it's why we left early. couple of wussies. LOL anyway, fun short few hours. i'll get back another day in the next couple weeks before the crowds pick up. Drop of Doom was closed early in the day, but I believe it opened up in the afternoon. TC line all day. Parts department needs to make a huge seat and lap bar pad order. Scream line with one train operation. new something. ride cars for justice league? well maintained trash can. paint prep going on RR. excellent grounds maintenance. track work on apocalypse. double male restroom signs.

We might be able too. Although it just be my brother and I. We are Australian so I do not know how we'd go driving in the states i'd definitely say get a car, or, a direct ride like an uber. at least that day they are open late for fright fest.

i need to give it a ride next time i'm there. last time i remember thinking, is that the rattle everyone's talking about? lol i usually skip it because i'd rather do another lap on TC instead.
