  1. I think Maurer and Premier is using the heartline of a traditional loop while this one looks like it is twisting around a Junker/Monster style loop.
  2. At least it's custom and correct me if I'm wrong. The first ever non B&M coaster to feature interlocking corkscrews? Given Shibaolai's first SLC had a six feet difference between track pieces during installation, this is not exactly a good thing.
  3. ^That first drop is the smoothest part of the ride at least. My choice goes to Calirofnia Sleepin'. For it's size that first drop should've been much better IMO.
  4. Judging by the concept art I found today it appears they may not be. Looks like this one might be non inverted too Are we sure that that's an Intamin? The whole switch track, multiple launch thing seems like something that Premier would do. They were invented by Intamin though. I like how this non-inverted loop is shaped completely different from the Maurer/Premier ones!
  5. I think it doesn't have to be a monorail system for the whole ride. This system can totally go back to the two rail system at the low stress sections to save some steel.
  6. The park can't afford to operate that thing, they said it costs like $30 to do one circle which is roughly the cost of one regular admission ticket. Their business was really bad lately, like 200 guests on a summer day bad. The whole area around the park is a ghost town of unoccupied buildings.
  7. Can't even count how many Intamin rides are under construction right now! Their business is the best among all the manufacturers this year. I think the "drought" is just due to the fact that US market isn't as demanding as pre-2008. Plus other companies are catching up on things that only Intamin can do before. Intamin has been leading the industry for decades and I'm almost 100% positive the next Intamin in US after SkyPlex is going to be "Intamin innovative".
  8. It's awesome how nearly every RMC brings discussion like this.
  9. Anyone know if Camiel (CoasterLab) is involved? I can really see the value of this design though. If they are making something like S:UF clone or something so compact they they can't fit supports into the layout, or simply a shuttle coaster without any extra supports, this will be perfect, even better than B&M tracks.
  10. Big Boom at Nasu Highland at the back. Its sketchy train and restraint add so much more to the experience!
  11. People tend to forget Gringott's just saying...
  12. B&M - Inverts Intamin - Blitz/Gyro Swing/Drop Tower Gerstlauer - Euro Fighter Premier - Spaghetti Bowl S&S - Dodonpa/Screaming Swing Arrow - Hyper Vekoma - Grizzily Mountain HUSS - Enterprise Funtime - Star Flyer Morgan - Hyper Chance- Zipper Schwarzkopf - Shuttle Loop Mack - Water Coaster (haven't been on a mega yet)
  13. One question, has anyone been on a VR coaster yet?
  14. Great design! I get it about easier fabrication process, but how does it make a difference on construction? The coaster wheels are at the outside of the track like the majority of steel coasters so they don't need to install tracks separately anyway.
  15. Seriously though, can you imagine how great the trains will look like? I would guess black main tune with metallic bronze and/or silver details and dark red LED strips.
  16. Oh my gaw have you been on the diamondback it's like the the tallest fastest and scariest thing evah I literally cried after that oh my gaw it was so good
  17. We don't run coasters during earthquake, Godzilla attack, Ultraman fighting monsters, Pokemon battles and Titan eating people.
  18. I can do their Chinese-English translations for free if they let me. Must be a great experience walking around a ghost town park like that!
  19. I feel sorry for ride operators for having to deal with people like that. All those people need to go to China and learn about Zen in the 6 hours Happy Valley line!
  20. It's not paying enough attention to places outside of US. On top of my head I can think of so many incredible parks and attractions that weren't even mentioned yet! Even if Tokyo Disney Sea is not the winner, it deserves in the top 3; even if Kärnan isn't the best in the world, that reverse drop alone can make it in the best new ride list at least! There are Mystic Manor, Pooh's Honey Hunt, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Indiana Jones, Tower of Terror, Fastasmic TDS, Space Fantasy, Chimelong Ocean Kingdom's aquarium, Liseberg, Phantasialand, Port Aventura etc. All of them didn't get the attention they deserve. Something like Mitch Hawker is very much needed!
  21. I don't want to know where it is, I don't want to know who made it, I don't want to know who rode it. There's enough hate in this world already. WHAT THE F**K???
  22. Wooden El Loco? Just kidding, I bet RMC is on this one, or at least topper track/I-Box track is involved.
