  1. Is there a proof that U bar, OTSR's, SkyRush style lap bar, DDD style lap bar etc are safer than T bar? If not, banning T bar seems kinda stupid. Also, it would be interesting to know how Kentucky define the type of lap bar on Lightning Run.
  2. I would say no for most coaster enthusiasts. Coaster enthusiasts want better things and there's nothing wrong with that. GP just go to a park, do rides and go home but coaster enthusiasts pay attention to the tiny things that most GP don't even care about. These tiny things, however, can be the essential factors to decide whether a park is good or not. Coaster enthusiasts are not hypercritical IMO. But I do need to apopogize for being too critical on certain coasters like Hades360, X2 and Gatekeeper
  3. @brentverick
  4. It's great to finally know about the reason, I guess there's no one to blame except for the park. My prayers to the victim and his family. Is it just me or Intamin's reputation seems a bit influenced by the park's action?
  5. Maybe wearing a poncho on MF would help prevent the bugs from destroying your clothes. Not sure if it's allowed. Take the second row of each car on Maverick, the neck chopping is significantly better because of the heartline's position.
  6. Probably something by Moser I saw this type of ride on Moser's brochure and they look fantastic.
  7. A S:UF clone would be pretty cool. But this sounds like a pretty weird decision to me. Their last coaster was a LSM launch coaster, are they trying to surpass KD's electric bill or something?
  8. ^ Compare to Hades360, Zeus was fine. Actually pretty decent.
  9. Go Germany! Germany will win!
  10. ^ last year Zeus was fine for me. The airtime it has is amazing.
  11. Will the park ever release the real layout? Repeating the same sections four times doesn't look like something the talents in Ride Centerline will do.
  12. I think the tilt tracks (or trick track as what Maurer Shönecalls) on Winjas also count.
  13. Zeus Mt Olympus and Mean Streak. I also think all the Arrow loopers I've ridden aren't bad at all.
  14. I really cannot imagine how this could ever happen. A roller coaster with hydraulic lock system, over the shoulder straps and very strong seat belts sounds impossible to allow someone to fall out of. For the New Texas Giant case, maybe the seat belts can provide a bit of extra protection because after all, they are locked. But for Inferno, I really cannot think of any coasters with new technology that offers another layer of protection. Look forward to hear the result of the investigation.
  15. Is it just me or buying a B&M when you have a tight budget is kind of too luxurious? I get it when Cedar Point spend $30 million on Gatekeeper to decorate the front of the park but Holiday World can find some other companies that worth the price. For example, a larger version of Lightning Run or an S&S launch coaster. If they want inversions, Gerstlauer Infinity coaster is, IMO, better than B&M loopers.
  16. If you literally jumped Sky high when you watch this video start from 00:20. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] Perfect! Combined two of my favorite things together, Modern Family and Silver Dollar City.
  17. Started watching Scandal a while ago. Have to say Olivia Pope has became one of my favorite TV series characters.
  18. I haven't ridden YOLOcoaster yet but I would rank it higher than GateKeeper.
  19. What I meant was designed to be operated with one train only, not operating with one train. My fault, I should have been more clear. I think this is joking as well This is also the only non-lap bar B&M with large arm room.
  20. Hopefully the first brand new Gravity Group big wooden coaster with Timberliners will work better than Hades360.
  21. RIP, sorry for the victim, his family and everyone who whitnissed this tragedy. Could it be the same cause of Superman? The lap bar only touched his belly, the negative G force and his weight broke the shoulder strap then he fell off from the car. I'm guessing the seats were at an upside down position when the car reaches the bottom of the big drop.
  22. Do new B&Ms really deserve such hate? 'Tis a joke, laddie. That being said, B&Ms aren't as "forceful" as they were back in the days of Nemesis and Kumba, although I hear that Banshee is a step in the right direction. I know. But joking or not, I hate to see giant multi-million dollar investments be compared to family or kiddie coasters. Well the newer B&M's are family or kiddie coasters if the height requirement is not that ridiculous.
  23. From Texas Thrill Seekers, Goliath might be the next one to go backwards.
