Some generic advice since that can't be an accurate date: - Thursday crowds aren't usually too bad, but it'll depend on how many school trips there are that day. Good thing is that those usually clear out late afternoon so lines will be shorter in the evening, but if it's your first visit to the park, don't skimp and get a Flash Pass. Totally worth it. - Kingda Ka, front row if it's open. If not, head straight to El Toro for multiple re-rides before lines start forming. Depending on how you feel about Ka, you could go straight to El Toro. Assuming your trip is sooner rather than later, just a couple of the water rides. If you're visiting after Memorial Day, all rides will be open, including most likely Joker. Other advice: back row of Skull Mountain. Always looking for more cult members!

I'm sure it's also for a little crowd control, too. If someone sees them test the coaster during operating hours, odds are very good that they're going to come over and ask questions about if the ride is open. Last Sunday, when Great Adventure was doing test cycles of Harley Quinn, I watched countless groups of people be confused about why the ride wasn't open and went up to employees by the ride with questions about when it would open, even though it was obviously still closed for construction. And that's for a tiny family coaster - imagine the reaction a marquee ride like LR would generate. Sometimes it's just best for a park to save themselves the headache of dealing with customers like that. -
Worst Arrow coaster

Vortex at KI, definitely. I figured that growing up with GASM at SFGAdv gave me some ability to tolerate Arrow loopers. Then I rode Vortex and realized I was sadly mistaken. -
Do You Bother With Water Parks?

I went almost fifteen years without setting foot inside a water park. The idea never appealed to me. However, when I went on my 2013 park trip and stopped at Holiday World, I figured it'd be a sin to pass up on the chance to at least experience Splashin' Safari while I was there. SS turned my opinion around. I had a blast while there, so much so I spent a good deal of time in Hurricane Harbor at SFStL the next day as a result. Since then I've gone to SFHH in NJ a few times and definitely see the appeal now, especially to the GP.
